Seasons RPG

Thanks to something going wrong with the magic and Eren's tentative grasp on using the Founding Titan's power, affected characters will find themselves in The Paths, an endless expanse of white sand and a strange sky. Somewhere in the distance, there's a tree of light. No matter how you run towards this tree, you never get any closer.

Characters might notice silhouettes there in the distance, or even make out the two figures in the light: Eren and Reiner. They won't notice anyone else, too wrapped up in the original reason any of this happened (don't worry about it. or do!).

(In the outside world, characters fall asleep wherever they are. Hope you're somewhere safe!)

You might not have time to think too much about this, though, because…

Characters who get near each other may get pulled into each other's memories. Both characters will experience the memory from outside as observers. The memory cannot be changed but you're welcome to try! Other than not permanently changing a memory, go nuts! Mash up both of their memories together. Have a montage. Play it on replay. It's your sandbox (hehehe), do what makes you happy. Or what hurts your characters, but I assume that's the same thing.

ALTERNATELY (or also!), your characters may live through an idealised fantasy. It can be someone taking part in another person's ideal, someone witnessing that ideal, a mashup, whatever. Again, free rein here! Characters may have some small inkling they're in a fantasy but this isn't the "then then break free" kind of thing. Just live it up, have a good time, and then enjoy (or don't enjoy)…

Eren will eventually realise that there are other people here. He doesn't know how they got here or why and you know what, he doesn't care!

No matter what is happening in anyone's memories or fantasies, Eren's voice eventually cuts in.

You weren't supposed to be here.

He shuts off all connection to the Paths immediately and abruptly. You were busy living a fantasy? WHOOPS now you're waking up back in Ellipsa, probably a little disoriented.

All characters will remember what they saw in the Paths. I mean if you really want to forget, we can talk about that, but Eren isn't doing anything consciously to anyone (other than Reiner).

Characters will wake up to find it's only been one day. It probably felt like a lot longer. Everything's fine now, though. Right?
