Guideline

• These quests are valid from start of January until end of March.
• Characters don't need to be a member of the guild to do quests and anyone can do any segment's quest! The quests are just marked this way to show where the quests are taking place.
• City Location Details | Segment Location details
• Remember to keep distances in mind: it takes 2 weeks to travel from the bridges to the edge of the map (barrier). Faster methods for travel exists, of course.
• For some of the monsters, additional details can be found from the Bestiary.
• Rewards are for one completion of the Quest, but characters can do it multiple times to earn more money from them, as the problems do repeat.

• Please see the guild page for permanent quests.

Quest Types
• Battle Quests: Usually deal with hordes of monsters or monsters that threaten the natives. Always involves battling.
• Boss Battle Quests: Boss Battles appear when enough of a certain type of a monster is slain. Usually linked to normal battle quests and always involve battling. They can be "summoned" multiple times during the months.
• Gathering Quests: Ingredient hunting. These can be gathering minerals, plants or even capturing animals where necessary. Rarely involves battling - if there is it will be marked.
• Misc Quests: Quests that don't really fit into other categories.

Resolution or Shame CW/TW: public shaming	This year we want to help people stick to their new year's resolutions - or make them if you haven't already. We're offering everyone a simple spell that will reward you the longer you can stick to your resolutions and even when you challenge others to do the same.	The unfortunate side effect that they usually neglect to inform quest takers is that anytime someone fails to do what their resolution says ("Drink more water") they will receive a magical pet shaming sign above their head that will inform everyone of their failure ("Did not drink enough water yesterday" or something else that will express what happened). The sign will stay on for the whole day or until the resolution is followed properly again.	200 Moon Coins per someone challenged, up to 5000 moon Coins for holding onto the resolution
They Always Get the Nose Wrong	Artist Fairies are on a mission to make people happy! They're offering to draw everyone their portrait. Most of the fairies are proper and do a great job of drawing a rather cartoon-y version of someone, but some of them are more mischievous and draw a certain detail wrong: the nose. What's more their magic turns the person's nose into what it looks like in the drawing. The fairies will take the picture and run away and the only way to undo the magic is to draw the nose again on the same paper... or wait 24 hours. Many people wish to capture these fairies, but not harm them. It's mostly a harmless joke, after all.	The noses can look like anything, from different shapes or even animalistic ones. Once the image is returned it doesn't have to be the fairy drawing the nose right: anyone with talent (or no talent?) can attempt it too as long as it's the same paper. Every time the nose changes the 24 hour counter resets.	500 Moon Coins for every nose corrected
Trash Bins Are Back, Alright	A group of mischievous ghosts have possessed some of the trash bins all over the city. This may sound familiar, but yes they're back. Most of them are only large enough to swallow one person, but some are even larger and can fit multiple people. Those not rescued in time will eventually be spit out... covered in trash. They try to follow the latest fashion and recycle at the same time. Considerate, I have to give them that.	One way to get ghosts to evacuate the trash bins is to make them feel uncomfortable with temperature changes or shaking the bins enough (you might want to rescue the people before attempting these). That way they will find something else to possess or leave entirely. Ghosts can only be seen if they possess something, unless you're a Winter power holder or have a special ability that allows that.	2000 Moon Coins for five ghosts chased away
Walk the Tiles of Style	A mischievous fashion sprite, Weaverinne, has turned in a stylish challenge. The hopscotch-like glowing tiles on the floor will assemble an outfit as you step on them, but beware: each step locks your choice! To win, you must walk the path of coordination and create a flawless ensemble by the end of the board. If Weaverinne approves your outfit, you get to keep it along with additional fashionable rewards. However, if your outfit is deemed uncoordinated, Weaverinne will have a laugh at your expense, leaving you stripped to your underclothes and forced to try again with a new set of tiles. Can you earn your place among the fashion elite, or will the tiles trip you up?	Failure results in comedic embarrassment but provides opportunities to redeem yourself with new outfit options. You can use dice rolls to determine if your outfit comes out good or silly! You could gain some harmless little abilities or lose some while wearing them, depending on what you get!	Depends on success rate, see below

Walk the Tiles of Style Rewards:
• Flawlessly Coordinated Outfit: A luxurious enchanted garment that boosts charm, social abilities and confidence. Perhaps a little magical touch too like floating around or suddenly knowing how to sing the opera while wearing it.
• Partial Success: Trendy or unique clothing items with some value and style, offering some lighter abilities— like a boost of confidence, or speed-reading, or a sharp memory etc.
• Failure (Uncoordinated Outfit): Comically ugly attire or silly accessories and the effects of silly quotes on the outfits will reflect back on you! "I'm a lover not a fighter" (strips you of fighting abilities making you very amorous, as an example)

Grand Theft Clothes CW/TW: possible nudity	Snowskeletons are back. This time they're ambushing people near the Titanic Dome. They're looking for brand new fashion so the newer someone's clothes are the most likely they will attack. Once they get the clothes they want they run away. For some reason they have to be worn so just tossing clothes at them won't work. Though it seems other species will gladly take those for their nests...	There are two types of Snowskeletons: either they're snowmen made from bone or they're skeletons made of snow. Either way they're definitely not friendly and often disguise themselves among the snow to surprise their prey. They're not really out to kill anyone, but may sometimes accidentally do it while robbing people. They're very famous bandits around the Winter Segment.	1000 coins per group of (2-3) Snowskeletons defeated
Ice and Slime, Both Are Slippery CW/TW: being eaten alive	Slime Toads are usually creatures who stay in the Spring Segment, but occasionally a group of them wanders elsewhere. This time they've decided to stay in the Winter Segment. Some of them seem to have even evolved and started growing some sort of warm fur - like they're planning to stay where they are. Do the the harsh cold of winter, the toads often spit their saliva to make themselves warmer places to stand on or to travel faster on the ice and snow. Fighting close to them might prove difficult.	Slime Toads are giant, over 4 meters/13'1' feet tall, and attempt to eat anything that's alive and moving (they especially love eating people that are arrogant and underestimate them). The best way to encounter them is to blow or cut them up somehow, as they will turn smaller with each attack. They will run away when they can no longer find things small enough to eat (so once they've turned tiny enough). Slime Toads are very slow eaters and will take forever to actually swallow anyone properly, so there's plenty of time to rescue someone who has been captured by their mouth. They will, however, be soaked in the slime-like toad saliva, which might be good since it's warm, but kind of gross and makes one even more likely to slip and slide.	5000 Moon Coins
It's Like Hell Out There CW/TW: body horror, gore, suffocation	Near the Heart Will Go On glacier (currently blocked by barriers) some real horrors are happening. Ghouls and demons of all kind are wandering around the area, trying to find ways to break the barrier. Apparently there's a portal to hell (dimension) inside, so it's likely these have escaped from there and are no trying to free everyone else. They will also attack people and fauna to turn them into their kin. We have faith that the barrier will stand, but the ghouls and demons are multiplying and that might become a problem.	Hell Dimension is one of the Portal Dimensions that has been open for a long time. Some adventurers visited the glacier and opened the door, accidentally letting some of them out. Now the barrier is stopping them, but they are doing the hardest to try and break it. The demons and ghouls look horrifying. Some of them have multiple faces stuck to one body, some of them have big holes in their bodies and all sorts of different body horror happening. There are also demons with a long tongue that will wrap around people and try to suffocate them. Some of them even sing sea shanties and try to distract people by getting them to sing along with them. (During this quest it's even possible to see one of the Guild Leaders and dragons joining the fight)	10 000 Moon Coins

Even Slimier CW/TW: being eaten alive	There's a Slime Toad twice bigger than the regular one. We call it the Gigantoad and it's a menace that appears whenever people bully its brethren too much. Unlike the others it doesn't turn into smaller toads when hit and it even eats faster. The tongue gives nightmares, it can reach so far! So running is hard. Be careful out there. But if you do defeat it, bring back some toad legs.	This boss only appears when enough Slime Toads have been defeated. Gigantoads biggest weakness is being attacked from the inside. It has a very sensitive stomach and will wiggle in pain and cease attacking anytime it eats something foul (like fire balls). It's skin is very hard, but not completely impenetrable.	7000 Moon Coins
There Once Was a Ship CW/TW: body horror, gore	Sometimes the demons manage to summon one of the bigger names. We call them the Vice Captains of Hell. They have multiple different demons with different abilities. Each limb and head has its own purpose and they use them well in tandem. Using a flash to blind someone before trying to take their eyes or capturing someone's shadow to hold them in their place so they can be stabbed are among many of their abilities.	This boss only appears if enough people are singing sea shanties in a chorus. They will target the weakest of the parties and try to use them as shields, but also absorb them into the demon combination for more strength. Cutting of one of the multiple limbs or heads will be most efficient in fighting - the more they're cut up the more likely they will release any hostages who might need some light therapy from dragons afterwards. You're free to come up with different nasty abilities for the different demon parts.	20 000 Moon Coins

Delivered Cold	Near the Frozen Falls there's a gold mine of different monster bones, feathers and other ingredients that are highly useful for different potions and rituals. They're all encased in ice and that's the way they should be delivered to the city. If they're taken out of there without proper spells they will break and lose their magical properties. So the ice should be broken into pieces and brought back, but it's a difficult task and many are afraid of monster attacks. That's why we want to task this mission to adventurers.	The items can be mined from the ice with special pickaxes that are meant for ice or by using fire. Due to the cold environment, it's likely the melted water will freeze very fast. Everyone is free to come up with things encased in ice. You can even find regular treasure.	1000 Moon Coins per two items delivered
Trees Full of Medicine	In the forest south of Wolf's Blood Mountains there are magical pines. The needles from these pines are essential for veterinary medicine. The way to actually recognize the right trees is to find squirrels that have fur that shines with a light golden light. They tend to harvest the conifer cones in the trees as they are more nutritious than regular ones. As long as you don't try to steal their meals, you're free to take as many pine needles as you need. If you do upset them, you'll be bombarded with sticks and rocks they find.	The squirrels are normally very peace-loving and may even climb onto someone's shoulder - especially if they're given nuts. They might even help gather pine needles and find other trees of the same quality.	1000 Moon Coins for a sack of pine needles

Spirits of New Years Past, Present and Future CW/TW: kidnapping, trauma	Strange tidings in the Winter Segment. Apparently people have been abducted by spirits and when they come back they're traumatized and take forever to recover. They've also lost a lot of their energies, making them weak and vulnerable. When asked, they were apparently shown scenarios of their past, present and future.	Being taken by a spirit will take them to a dream world. There, they're asked different kind of riddles and made to do puzzles. Those who fail to do them correctly will be shown a 'Worst Case Scenario' of their Past, Present or Future. If they fail enough times they will have half of their stamina taken. In otherworlders' cases they will lose their touch energy. They can be fought, but solving the puzzles and riddles is the safest way to go about it. The snatching happens in pairs.	3000 for saving natives, solving and escaping the spirits gives a 'Crystal of Foresight', letting someone predict an opponents moves before they happen five times during a single fight

Going Downhill	This may be hard to believe but a species of Sentient Slinkies have appeared near the Breeze Hills. They're huge - big enough to trap someone if they choose to do so. They mostly use the hills to have fun, but whenever they get bored they target anyone close by. Once they manage to trap something they start absorbing their life energy to feed.	Fighting the slinkies should be rather easy. One could try to mess their coils or just break them apart. However, if they notice one of their own attacked they will come to help. Despite being slinkies they're pretty fast-- but they get stuck on bigger rocks occasionally, making them easy targets.	3000 Moon Coins
Everybody was Kung Fu Ducking	The Kung Fu Ducks are back and this time they're angrier than before. Instead of stealing catapults to launch themselves at enemies, they drop down from trees or hide in bushes for ambush. They use different kind of kung fu techniques. They usually aim just to beat people up and boy do their beaks hurt when weaponized. Though I think my pride is even more bruised than my body.	A species of sassy, agile ducks that love to attack opponents bigger than them. They are well-versed in kung fu and can use wind powers in combination with them. They're the same size as normal ducks. After last time they have learned how to use nunchakus and tonfas. How are they holding them? We just don't know.	5000 Moon Coins
Now I see	Farmlands are in danger of Hedgemoles turning the place upside down. Usually these monsters are almost blind in the sun and just keep to themselves in the underground, but they managed to get their little paws on magical carrots that help with eye sight. Now they can see very clearly and use this to rob vegetables and make a mess of things people have made. Help us chase them away.	Hedgemoles, as the name suggests, are part hedgehogs and part moles. They bury themselves undeground and whenever they're on the surface they use their needles to protect themselves. They can also use the needles as projectiles and ram themselves into things while curled into balls.	3500 Moon Coins

The Great Worm Lord Rises CW/TW: being buried alive, acid damage	Something dangerous is lurking beneath the soil. Without a warning the ground breaks open and a giant, ugly worm appears. It's 6 meters/19'6' feet long and it spits out rocks and acid. Despite being a worm it's very fast and rams into its opponent with full power. It can also use the soil as a weapon and make it swallow opponents. It mostly appears to eat and sometimes it has an appetite for people.	This boss only appears when enough Hedgemoles are chased out of the farmlands. The Giant Worm is thick skinned and feels slimy to the touch. It has a big set of pointy teeth and no eyes. They're weak to especially water and lightning combinations, but water works well by itself as well. They like to eat fireballs.	9000 Moon Coins
Untitled Goose Battle	You thought Kung Fu Ducks sound ridiculous. Well, try Judo Geese. These birds are twice the size of a regular human and use judo techniques to fight. We think they might have a black belt with how well they fight. They usually appear in pairs to protect the Kung Fu Ducks. Like the ducks they're also able to use items, but only do so if they're desperate.	This boss only appears when enough Kung Fu Ducks are defeated. The Judo Geese are fairly weak to magic, but they're also very fast at dodging any projectiles. They're good at disarming opponent's weapons. When they feel like they're losing they call for the Kung Fu Ducks to give them a long pole that they will start swinging around.	6000 Moon Coins

Berry Mayhem	Creatures called Bearries exist. They're a type of herbivore bear that grow berries on their backs. These berries are highly valued as an ingredient in different desserts and drinks. It has been years since anyone has managed to befriend a Bearry and get the berries, but we would like to ask anyone to try. They're usually pretty calm.	Bearries are regular sized bears that have living berry bushes growing on their backs. They enjoy different kind of vegetables or fruit and are easily spooked by loud sounds. Once they approve of someone they will lick them. If anyone tries to take a berry before that they will get offended and leave the area. The berries taste like a mix of blueberries and raspberries, yet somehow very unique.	2000 per pouch of berries
The Fairest Medicine of them All	The Fairy Garden still has some overgrowth from when it wasn't being used. However, thanks to Fairy Queens magics it has otherwise been saved from corruption, so she has given a permission to venture in and find medical herbs. A lot of the magical herbs look like regular weeds, so they need to be looked at very carefully. Of course the Fairy Queen would appreciate getting rid off regular weeds while you harvest the herbs.	You are free to come up with different herbs by using existing real world ones and adding some magical effect to them. Not all of the plants in the Fairy Garden are useful, some may be meant for pranks - like the Sneeze Rosemary or Duck Weed (makes someone sound like a duck for hours). There are no aphrodisiac plants here, but some may leave a feeling of being drunk. There's no real danger in the Fairy Garden, just a lot of plants to go through and some harmless pranks. The fairies will even bring water to the workers. Just don't accept anything else that's edible from them.	3000 for a variety pack of herbs

Scales, Wings, and Chaos Things	The Dragon Fairy Keepers need a break and have entrusted you with a very special job: babysitting their precious dragon fairy eggs and newly hatched dragonlings for a few hours. Your task is to keep the hatchlings entertained while ensuring the eggs remain safe and sound. Sounds easy? Think again— these little ones are full of energy, and they love mischief. Whether it’s singing dragonsongs, telling enchanted tales, or dodging firebursts from tiny wings, you’ll need to stay on your toes. Successfully soothe them into a peaceful nap, and you’ll be rewarded handsomely. But if they stay awake, prepare to face the chaos of cranky baby dragons— and the wrath of the Keepers!	Fairy Dragons are a very special breed of dragons capable of dragon AND fairy magic (usually they're a bad mix). Their scales are more sparkly and their wings resemble more fairy than dragon ones. Requires creative problem-solving and multitasking to keep the hatchlings entertained while safeguarding the fragile eggs. Players can use unique talents to pacify or amuse the little ones. Failure to put them to sleep leads to comically chaotic punishments, such as fire-singed clothes or being trapped under playful dragonlings. And their drool. Failure in the babysitting: No rewards and a lesson in patience learned the hard way (plus most likely a singed wardrobe). You get dragon baby drool though. It can heal small cuts.	2000 Coins and a rare enchanted dragon eggshell, perfect for storing dragonsongs with various magical abilities*

Scales, Wings, and Chaos Things
Dragonsongs that are stored in the eggshells can be used up to three times before they disappear. They release a peaceful melody that will do the effect desired. Effects that last for a while will last for up to four hours.

Battle Quests

Fly Away CW/TW: needles, poison	Cacti are usually a desert thing. Well, now they're everywhere and they're flying. There are cacti with green leathery wings going around, attacking things from the air. I'm saying they're using their needles as projectiles and diving down to give their prey hugs. Poisonous hugs, as their needles are coated in a poison that will slowly kill someone when it enters the body - unless they get an antidote, which is the flower growing on their heads.	Being poisoned by the cacti needles feels like burning up from the inside. The pain will spread from where the needle hits and slowly incapacitate the person, giving the cacti a chance to escape after the deed is done. No one really knows why they act the way they do.	3000 Moon Coins
Heat of Conquest CW/TW: lava burns	Lava Lizards have been on the move again. Even if their habitat is now significantly larger they seem to wish to expand further in the Segment rather than out there. It's yet another dry season, too, so fires are very likely in addition to other problems.	Lava Lizards are tough skinned and aggressive. They spit lava at their enemies. Luckily the projectile lava doesn't reach a very long distance. However, some of the lizards are like chameleons and can camouflage themselves into their environment. They're normally the size of an alligator, but some can grow even larger.	5000 Moon Coins
In the Deep CW/TW: acid, suffocation	Something is going on in the Siren Kingdom. They've send a distress message to ask people to help them fight Undead Moray. They're out to eat merfolk. Sometimes they don't even eat, they just play with their prey and strangle them at the end. Their saliva is full of acid. Please help them chase off these menaces. The mermaids are helping them the best they can but backup is needed.	Undead Morays are giant (10 meters/32'8' feet) long moray that have long time ago passed away. They search for merfolk to satisfy their hunger for life force. They're vicious and tend to lurk in dark corners of the sea for an opportunity to attack. Siren Kingdom is located very deep in the Great Ocean Lake.	6000 Moon Coins

Are You Friend or Foe?	This hasn't happened often, luckily, but it seems there's a monster that can take the shape of others (but in giant form, around 10 metres/32'8' feet) and use their abilities like it's nothing. We decided to call it the Mimic Lord. Anytime it has appeared it has caused horrible damage before retreating back to the Darkness or otherwise disappearing.	This boss only appears when enough monsters in general have been defeated. Mimic lord will copy the appearance and abilities of the first person who attacks it and use all of the abilities available to attack its opponents. The Mimic Lord avoids the Great Ocean Lake because if it sees its own reflection it will return back to its original form. The original form, in this case, is a small, armless imp that will avoid fighting and run away as fast it can.	8000 Moon Coins
You're Fired CW/TW: lava burns	What's even scarier than a Lava Lizard? A giant, floating Lava Shark. Occasionally the lizards are gone and the shark is around instead. Instead of being a shark that spits lava, it's actually made of the stuff. Its main tactic seems to be ramming into things and setting them on fire or melting them. It might be a good idea to invest in something lava-proof if possible.	This boss only appears when enough Lava Lizards have been defeated. Lava Sharks are entirely made out of lava and are around 18 meters (60 feet). Their biggest weakness is that if they stop completely they will lose their shape and become a puddle of lava. Water also works to harden the lava on them.	11000 Moon Coins

Made in Desert	Des(s)ert of Illusions has a species of Bread Dinos who, like the name suggests, look and smell like different loafs of bread. These little guys (most are the size of a medium-sized dog) aren't for eating, but are experts on all breads and pastries. Whenever one of them is around the room will be always be perfect for baking. We would like to recruit some for the city, but we're too afraid to wonder that far. We do have plenty of yeast and flour that they like to eat but rarely get in the desert. Unfortunately though, they're very shy and will get scared whenever someone's clothes flutter in the wind. You might need a plan for approaching them.	Bread Dinos live in the desert because they hate getting wet. If they are soaked in water they will get upset and bury themselves into the ground or sand. Some more brave dinos even headbutt whatever (or whoever) made them wet before leaving. They rarely attack anyone and love any kind of attention like scritches (which will make anyone's fingers smell like bread).	2000 Moon Coins per Bread Dino tamed
Shining, Shimmering, Splendid	Mermaids have given us a hint of underwater caves full of seashells and minerals that would go perfect with our water-related potions and spells. Especially a mineral called the teardrop that has the ability to turn tears into a superpower! We're not kidding. It's a beautiful teardrop shaped stone that can be grinded into potions. The mermaids and sirens have given us a permission to go harvest these ingredients. There is also a chance to play with dolphins and their children while gathering ingredients.	Mermaids will guide people to the right caves for the minerals and note that there are also plenty of rubber ducks in the sea they can take. They actually hope adventurers would help them get rid of them. They also help people interact with the dolphins and make sure all of the interactions are nice and pleasant. Baby dolphins also tend to get attached to people and will always come find them when they're in the Great Ocean Lake.	1000 Moon Coins per variety pack of minerals and seashells

Angry Leaves	The flowers on the Summer Segment's meadows have started acting strangely. By that I mean... they're alive. Someone tried picking flowers to make a bouquet and instead got their mouth stuffed full of leaves and petals. Some of them even have thorns. Now if someone just walks into the meadows they will get attacked mercilessly.	The flowers will attack everyone, unarmed or not, and seem like they come in peace. They hold a big grudge against people who don't ask for permission before picking flowers. If someone can handle their ire for a while they might be up for negotiations, but fighting is also an option..	5000 Moon Coins

Blood for the Tree Lords CW/TW: blood sucking	Treanpires are on the move again. This time they travel in groups and attack anyone they set their eyes on. Sometimes they're camouflaging as a group of trees before ambushing someone. Usually they drink to empty their prey, but occasionally they also take their meal with them by trapping them in their vines. I barely managed to escape, but I did lose some blood. They're a menace and need to be dealt with.	Treanpire is a living, walking tree that also has the qualities of a vampire. It uses its roots and vines to suck blood out of all living things. After a feast its branches will bloom different colored flowers, depending on the blood it drank. The flowers on a Treanpire can be used for various blood related potions and medicine, but they can only be plucked out when the Treanpires are alive. When they die, the flowers die with them. If plucked before death, they remain good for potions.	4000 Moon Coins
Deadly Lullaby CW/TW: death, hypnotic suggestion	An enchanting melody can be heard from forest areas surrounding the Great Tree of Death. Those who are weaker of mind will be drawn to it, almost as if they were in a trance. The path leads to a clearing were several fae associated with death are singing their song. They're larger than an average fae (average human teenager size) and their mission is to lure people to the forest to sacrifice their souls to summon an even stronger fae. So once they have lured people in they attack with their dark spells.	The fae are all monochrome colored and have long nails and leather-like wings. Their magic can allure opponents, suck souls out of bodies and even sing someone to sleep. They have been completely taken over by the Darkness, never to be able to go back to the way once were. If someone approaches them alone they will be shown one last mercy: they will sing a lullaby to put them in deep sleep before making the sacrifice.	6000 Moon Coins
Mystery of Weapons CW/TW: possession (of body only)	Suddenly a large amount of weapons have appeared in the Autumn Segment. They're all different types, stuck in different kind of places. They look tempting to pick up and when someone does pick up the weapon they can use it perfectly. There's just something really strange about them.	The weapons are spirits that wait for someone to pick them up. Once they do, they will take control of the person's body. The person's mind stays the same, but the weapon will move their body however it wants. If someone tries to disarm the person they will wrap thorny vines around their hands to stop that from happening. The weapon will let go once it has beaten up someone or the body it's using gets knocked out or defeated. The weapons will then vanish with a childish cackle. There are other ways to get the weapon to let go as well, of course, so be creative!	7000 Moon Coins

The more blood it smells, the more furious it will become. Once it gets in the mood for destruction nothing will stop its rampage. Just getting stomped by its hooves would probably be the end of me.	This boss only appears when enough weapons have vanished. The Giga Minotaur will target people who are injured and try to use its hammer as a baseball bat to throw them far away. It's biggest weakness is the hammer being the perfect material for conducting electricity so if it starts thundering while in battle it will retreat and run for the Silent Mountains.	12000 Moon Coins
Till Death Do Us Part CW/TW: death, darkness corruption	We know Dullahans exist, but no one expected the creature that the dark fae were summoning to be an even bigger version of it. The Lord Dullahan we call it. It's at least thrice the size of a normal, adult human being and has an even eerier aura than the regular ones. Its mission seems to be making even more darkness corrupted things in the world. The Lord Dullahan need to be stopped.	This boss only appears when enough dark fae have been destroyed OR enough people have been sacfricied. Even the darkened souls of the fae are enough to summon this boss from its resting place. Dullahans look like knights wearing a black armor and they're surrounded by a dark, eerie aura. They carry around an empty helmet that they want to fill with a head. The Lord Dullahans are larger and have bigger swords that they use to stab people with. Once stabbed with their sword, darkness starts spreading, slowly turning the person into a being like the dark fae. The darkness can be cleared by someone's embrace. By being held to unstained person, they darkness will start vanishing away, eventually giving in to the light in the other person.	15000 Moon Coins

Delicious Syrup	Once again chefs are desperate to get their hands on the quality maple syrup in the trees of Maybe it's Mapleline forest. They are, however, worried about the side effects of staying in the forest for too long so they wish to send others to do this. Staying in the forest for too long will turn anyone partially into a maple monster. It's said seasonal power holders are more resistant to it, even if not completely immune. Of course there are the local creatures to worry about as well.	Maple Creatures look like maples in different colors. A bunny may have maple leaf shaped ears or a wolf may have a maple leaf for a tail. Another strange phenomenon is that if the creature used to be carnivorous, it's now a herbivore and vice versa. Maple Mantis are giant (at least 3 metres/9'8' feet tall) mantis that eat maple trees. Their hands are like razors, so they cut pieces of the forest down and eat them like they're a bread stick. They usually come in groups of three at a time, from the south. It's completely possible to avoid battle, but there is a risk of it.	1000 Moon Coins per bottle of maple syrup
Thunder, Feel the Thunder CW/TW: electrocution	Electricity is always something that is valuable to the Research Center. We are always looking for ways to make producing it more efficient. So we came up with an idea of taming Storm Surfers, the foxes made out of electricity. It's hard to imagine what they might like, but we have a wide variety of what foxes like and things that attract lightning normally. We would like you to go and see them and see if you have persuade any to move into the city to help us. Of course, we always guarantee to treat them well.	Storm Surfers are foxes made out of pure electricity that are very playful. They usually don't mean any harm, but their touch is paralyzing, especially to those who aren't prepared for it. They usually only appear during thunderstorms, but they've been occasionally spotted just dancing in the rain. If a Storm Surfer starts to trust someone their touch stop being paralyzing... unless the person is wet. Then they will by accident.	1000 Moon Coins per tamed fox

The Consentacle is a species of tentacle plant monster that thrives when it can help people enjoy a night of pleasure It's tentacles offer both aphrodisiac and ways to tease your partner while also giving you both a night full of pleasure. Of course someone who is feeling all alone is also guaranteed to get a friend for their evenings. The Consentacle, as name suggests, will always wait for consent. Anyone who is interacting with it will have to say 'I give permission' to it before it will do anything at all. If there's anyone in the room having doubts it will wait until those are sorted out. Whenever the monster isn't out to play they stay in a clean pot of their own, waiting until it's called. It will also wash itself so really, all you need to do is be a good companion to it.	Consentacles come in a variety of colors and they smell like different flowers. They feed on energy that comes out during sex and the more one has fun with it (or in the same room with it) the healthier it is. Even just helping to couples do bondage is enough to make it happy, as long as all parties are in agreement. Those untended will eventually wilt and become crystalized, until taken back to the people who sold them for treatment. They might, however, take the Consentacle back if the fault is in the owner. The Kiss of Glamour	The eccentric alchemists at the Atelier of Allure have been hard at work creating a new experimental line of adult cosmetics, and they need a bold adventurer to test them out. Each product is imbued with unique magical effects: eyeshadow that can undress someone with a mere gaze or give someone the ability to unravel parts of clothing, lipstick infused with serotonin-boosting properties that encourage smiles, good moods, and lots of kissing, and nail polish paired with hand creams that subtly heighten the desire for physical touch and a slight more strength. Your task is to use these products in real-world situations and report back on their effectiveness and… side effects. (And organize which ones do what.) Successfully completing the trial will earn you both coins and the satisfaction of keeping a full set of these one-of-a-kind cosmetics. They last very long too!	This quest is designed to be playful and creative and very intimate. Players are to test each product's effects with partners- assigned or chosen by themselves, ranging from humorous misunderstandings to flirty interactions. Beware: too much of a good thing could lead to unintended chaos! Failure to report back means no coins, but you'll still leave with a few amusing memories and leftover samples to play with that have sillier effects. The Stars Aligned CW/TW: public shaming	A popular underwear shop is having a giveaway campaign. Those who wander even close and pass the age test (a magical means to make sure someone is over sixteen) will be offered a chance to test their way to grow some self-esteem: the star shower subligaculum. They say that wearing the underwear like you could take on the world.	The piece(s) of underwear make(s) the user feel more confident in their ability to woo people. The longer someone wears it the more they feel the urge to flex their muscles at everyone and make suggestive thrusts or other gestures they might not normally do. After the wearer successfully manages to get laid or the subligaculum is somehow taken off, the effect ends.	Free underwear, probably some embarrassing memories

City Crime Quests
This questboard on an app on the phone and is only unlockable if your character has received a (handwaved) code for it from one of the crime organizations or just criminals of Nightwake. Another way is to hack your way in if you know it exists.
You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonably way for your character to get there.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.
Should players doing these quests wish for IC consequences, they may report their character here - or just assume that NPC law enforcement characters are on a lookout for them.

It's Like Hell Out There

[Fighting armies was nothing new to Barghest. Even one as grotesque as this was of little deterrent, one must be made of stern stuff to be a knight such as herself. Lacking the taint of the Darkness, Wild Rule was perfectly capable of absorbing their power to fuel Barghest's own as she rampages through the demonic forces. Claws scrape against her armor, weapons not finding much more purchase. What does manage to get through Foul Weather she just takes without flinching, her wounds sealing as she drains her foes dry of magical energy. Still, even if she does seem to be doing well, it's a big battlefield...]

Deadly Lullaby

[Foul Weather did not serve her quite as well in her next battle, being unable to stand the touch of Darkness on the fae. Still, C Rank Magic Resistance forgives a variety of sins. Their songs of sleep have little effect on her, and she's more than capable of ending their threat. The problem was what came next...]

Till Death Do Us Part

[She hadn't been expecting the faeries' own souls to be absorbed by the ritual. She cursed her lack of foresight for that, but it meant little in the nonexistent face of her opponent. A headless knight shrouded in Darkness, hand on his sword and clearly ready to fight.]

A Lord Dullahan, one sure to make even Hessian envious, no doubt. I don't suppose you would abide by the terms of a proper duel, would you?

It's Like Hell Out There

[Hijikata knew that any Saber, and Barghest in particular, was a force to be reckoned with, but seeing her tear through the demons is a whole other ballpark of awe-inspiring. And here, he thought the fight his Rider put up against that corrupted Saber in her Memory Portal was Heroic Spirit peak performance!

Nevertheless, he's part of this battle too, and while the Fairy Knight is in the centre of the action, he does his damndest to intercept any demons that try to land a cowardly sneak attack on her. With his Aura protecting him - like hell will he be a liability! -, he uses his blood-ore-enhanced sword Mahirutsuki to deliver fierce cuts across the distance, careful to not accidentally cause a friendly fire incident.]

Back to hell you go!! Piss off!

[He wonders if he'll have to use his new Dragon Slayer Magic if this keeps up. How the hell did they multiply this much?!]

Deadly Lullaby / Till Death Do Us Part

[In hindsight, Frieda regrets joining Barghest on such a dangerous quest - not through any fault of the Fairy Knight's, but due to her own shortcomings.

When the opportunity arose, she really wanted to work together with the admirable Heroic Spirit, but in the end, Barghest had to look out for her disproportionately much. Not only did she almost succumb to the allure of the fae's song, necessitating a quick dispatching of the foes by her questmate, she hindered even that with her attempts at pacifistic negotiations! Luckily, Barghest trusted her instincts more than Frieda's idealism.

Now, faced with a titan-sized dullahan after they unwittingly completed the sacrifice, she really doesn't want to be any more of a hindrance to her companion, so she draws back into hiding among the trees... not that it's very successful, given that she's glittering like crazy thanks to her Feel Invincible potion. She needs to do better than this!! Following the clashes of swords with her eyes, she calls out:]

Beary Mayhem

Fauna was actually his specialty, rather than flora. Not that he couldn't do both, of course, and being one of Baizhu's main suppliers helped enhance his knowledge along with the Book of Foraging he had purchased from Riki. But, for this particular quest, he was much more in his element. So, once he secured himself an adventuring escort, Erenville had set about studying the Bearry before deciding his method of approach.

It had been easy enough to identify that, despite its name and appearance, it was actually not carnivorous. He had already been told they were calm creatures, but if they are rarely befriended in order to obtain the berries on its back, it likely meant they were also skittish. Erenville raised his hand to his adventuring companion, his voice low. "I do not believe it will attack unprovoked, but it is likely easily spooked and will run. Or even attack in self defense. But I would caution you to stay where you are and allow me to approach for now."

Once the viera got his assurance that his companion wouldn't join in, Erenville began his careful and slow approach. If this bearry was anything like the bears of home, there is one sweet treat he could perhaps use to bribe the creature with, but first he wanted to see just how easily spooked it would be before attempting. So far, Erenville was being watched warily, but the creature was not making any moves to run or charge, just yet.

Delicious Syrup

It was pretty much an given that while Erenville had gotten much further in his seasonal powers training, he truly was not a combatant by any stretch of the imagination. So, once more, he enlisted the help of a fellow adventurer in order to keep the maple creatures away from him while he would procure the maple syrup. He also wanted the chance to study the maple creatures if at all possible. Something he made clear to his companion in the beginning so there was no question about what they were to do there.

Of course, they were to also be mindful of how long they stay in the forest. It was already well known that the longer the stayed, the danger was poised to strike just by being there. Erenville was going to have to methodical about it, as was his companion. He looked up at the trees on the outskirts, a hand to his chin. "How long are you comfortable with staying in this forest? It would seem we have more resistance, but not immune to whatever effects this forest has. I would like enough time to study, but I do not want to bring out any further risk than necessary."

"The maple bears are cute, but they're still kinda dangerous, they just won't eat you. Maple mice are gonna try to bite but will realize you're too big and too much trouble to eat. The moose are the worst ones. If we see one of those, run. I can take one, but I don't really want to do that again..."

What adventuring escort could be better than his very own Warrior of Light? E'kayan had jumped at the opportunity to accompany his partner out on an excursion and had taken the role of his guard quite seriously for the duration, listening to Erenville when he took the lead in his own areas of expertise.

When he motions for them to stop the Miqo'te does just that, one of his ears twitching in Erenville's direction before he nods and drops down into a comfortable crouch near the ground.

"I'll be here," he replies quietly, his ruby carbuncle settling in next to him and watching the Viera with curious, shining eyes. "Be careful."

And then he watches and waits, ready to jump in the moment he sees that Erenville is in danger.

1) They always Get the Nose Wrong

[Hijikata, sporting a very noticeable pig nose, is on the war path with his sword out in the middle of the city.]

If I catch that little shit, it'll be a nose for a nose. I didn't even do anything this time!

[Oh dear. Will violence really fix this?]

2) Trash Bins Are back, alright

[Having recently regained his Avalonian death magic, Hijikata can see ghosts again, so he jumps on this quest! With his two big pokémon at his side, he chases a possessed four-wheeled garbage container through the streets.]

Maken, block its path!!

[The silent Aegislash teleports in front of the speeding trash bin, holding its round shield in front of it with both sash-like arms, and absorbs the impact seemingly without trouble, bringing the container to a standstill. Hijikata swiftly moves in and throws the metal lid open. Whether he's lifting you out after an unpleasant abduction, or you're an observer witnessing the rescue, he barks out the next command at his Emboar:]

Give them heat, Hinobuta!!

[The large fire pig doesn't need to be told twice as it grabs the now empty(?) bin and puts out an enormous amount of energy that makes its fire mane flare out. The metal container ought to be getting pretty toasty for the ghosts!]

Winter Quests

3) Grand Theft Clothes

[So the damn snowskeletons are at it again, too! Hijikata, equipped with his fire magic, an arsenal of weapons, and his trusty pokémon, sets out to demolish the dastardly clothing thieves.]

Hinobuta, get them!!

[His Emboar unleashes a flame attack that outright melts a trio of snow skeletons. Hijikata himself tackles a bone snowman, putting his whole body weight in a swing of his large claymore. The heavy weapon cleaves the monster in half, and he lets out a triumphant shout. Do they even need any help?! Or are they actually saving you from an attack here?]

4) Ice and Slime, Both Are Slippery

[Okay, furry toads are just wrong. Hijikata sets out to decimate the creatures, once again with his pokémon alongside him - they've gotten so strong, why should he leave them at home?]

There's one!! Damn, it looks like a mishapen bear... cut it up, Maken!!

[With his steel/ghost pokémon moving in to battle, it's probably up to Hijikata's questmate to ensure that the samurai doesn't get too cocky to overlook any danger from the slimy enemies! (Note: Depending on how this quest goes, they might unlock the Boss Battle Quest Even Slimier!)]

5) It's Like Hell Out There

[Now this is a serious problem. Having been one of the first otherworlders unfortunate enough to explore the Heart Will Go On glacier and discover its dark secrets, Hijikata feels a sense of personal responsibility to clear out the stray demons. This time, he doesn't bring his pokémon out, worried for their safety (for all he knows, they don't get reborn if they die!). He admits to his questmate:]

I'll be honest, I haven't really figured out what these demons' weaknesses are, other than perhaps light magic. It'll be a bit of trial and error.

6) Everybody was Kung Fu Ducking

[Hijikata dealt with the aggressive ducks of the Spring Segment before, and they really did pack a punch! As such, he brings his pokémon along on the quest as backup.]

Just let them bring it on. My Hinobuta'll show them what it means to be a real fighter!

7) The Fairest Medicine of Them All

[Hijikata isn't the biggest fan of the fairy kingdom as a location, given all the rules that need to be obeyed there, but 3000 Moon Coins is a nice price for a pouch of herbs, and with the teleport stone placed during the liberation mission, it's an easy enough journey, so he and his companion find themselves in the vast and overgrown fairy garden searching for green (or otherwise coloured) treasures, again alongside his faithful pokémon.]

Remember, Maken, don't cut just anything down! Let me consult the guild guidebook first.

[Despite the need for constant plant identity checks, the work is progressing decently well. Whenever he's sure that a patch of weeds is really just that, the Aegislash mows it down for the Emboar to burn. It's weed disposal and fertiliser creation in one go! The fairy queen should be pleased with them.]

8) Scales, Wings, and Chaos Things

[A long time ago, universes away, Hijikata once babysat some dragonlings. It was a lot of work, but it's on his CV now, so he volunteers for the task despite it being outside of his usual wheelhouse.]

Alright, then. How hard can it be? I have so many tricks in store, there's no way, they'll get bored! And if all else fails, I brought my pokémons' Transformer Keychains.

Summer Quests

9) Fly Away

[Not wanting to be an easy target for the aggressive flying cacti on the ground, Hijikata enlisted the help of his beloved winged bull Shirobeko for this quest. They'll strike those nasty poisonous plants right in the sky! Whether his questmate has a ride (or other method of flight) of their own or are sitting behind him, he soon point out some strange shapes ahead.]

There! That looks like a swarm of them!

[It seems like cacti enjoy crowding together in the air, too: It's a group of 7, all different shapes and sizes.]

We need to strike them before they realise that we're a threat. Let's get above them! I'll hit them with my lightning.

10) Heat of Conquest

[The last time Hijikata fought lava lizards, he was far less experienced with his summer magic and far poorer in boons - it's time to see how the tables have turned! Despite not bringing the best elemental match to the fight, he's confident, not least because he has his pokémon with him once again.]

Those monsters are really tough, so don't hold back, everyone - and look out, they camouflage really well in this terrain!

11) Made in Desert

[Hijikata hasn't been to the Des(s)ert of Illusions before, so he's happy enough to take the chance! While the quest itself sounds harmless enough, he wouldn't be surprised if the wildlife provided a challenge. Once again, he brings his two pokémon along.]

"Bread dinos"... absolutely wild that they haven't gone extinct yet.

[Since the creatures apparently gets scared by fluttering clothes, he's wearing a form-fitting, sleeveless black shirt and black runner's shorts, so if his questmate is a connoisseur of the male form... enjoy!]

12) Delicious Syrup

[Hijikata harvested maple syrup from the Mapleline Forest once already and knows of the strange phenomena there. Having dealt with the maple mantises before, he's here to protect his questmate (who may or may not need it)! His pokémon are with them yet again, though he's keeping his eye on the clock. He won't leave them out too long here!]

Of course, all the trees at the edge of the forest have been drained already. We'll have to go deeper in if we want the syrup. But you're not afraid, are you?

13) Thunder, Feel the Thunder

[Having been granted lightning magic by his dragon tattoo and lightning immunity by an amulet gifted to him by Reiner, Hijikata feels well-equipped to tackle this quest. Whether he'll manage to tame a storm surfer, though, is another question, seeing how animals generally tend to snub him. As he and his questmate approach a dark storm (on foot, since he doesn't want to risk harm coming to his winged mount), he wonders.]

I'm not sure if bringing out my pokémon would make it curious or scare it off. What do you think?

14) Testing Testing... Courage

[Hijikata did not want to go here. The last time he visited a haunted house out in the Segments was already so creepy and hair-raising, he's sure he lost years of life expectancy! And now, the abandoned mansion? But alas, somehow, he got roped into it, and here they are. He stays close to his questmate as he lights up the entrance hall with floating flames.]

Honestly... don't you think it's enough if we take a cursory glance? I mean, isn't coming here already courageous enough?

[Rinku pumps her fist in the air. Her Slender Ring shines, and she spots the vague form of a ghost hightailing it out of there. Since she's in the city, Mecchan and Hina are perched on her, but Mecchan is clinging hard and watching the other Pokémon in awe... his friends are so cool!]

You'd think these guys would've learned from two years ago. Then again, I guess I do the same thing too, huh? Except the putting people in the garbage part.

[ Unfortunately, Levi does expect the man to watch his own ass. Shouldn't he know better than to underestimate a foe? He's already annoyed that they've somehow ended up on here together, though he's been warming up to the pig a little bit again since their last interactions at the party, so thinning out the monsters hasn't proven too much trouble so far. Doesn't mean he trusts him to have his back, though. ]

[ Luckily, he still has an excellent reaction time, so if Hijikata does end up in trouble, he'll probably be there to help. Maybe. ]

[ For now, he's letting him and his Pokemon fight away. The area isn't particularly friendly for 3DMG maneuvering, so he's been mostly relying on his Winter abilities so far, slowing the toads down for the other to chop up and keeping a lookout for anything new showing up, just in case. ]

1) Resolution or Shame

[Frieda made several resolutions for the new year: To keep practising her magic and become stronger, to keep looking for ways to save her people back home, and to figure out what power to attain with the expensive potion she bought. In order to achieve that last resolution, she determined to get to know her fellow otherworlders better - after all, how else could she identify worthwhile powers to try and attain (not to mention the overall benefits of a more close-knit community)?

She thought this resolution-related quest would be a nice way to simultaneously earn some extra money and keep herself motivated, but no one warned her about the shaming sign that'd magically appear over her head and accounce to all and sundry that she Didn't Try to Get to Know Her Fellow Otherworlders Better! She tries to wave it away with her hands when it pops up in the middle of Nightwake, but it stays in place like a hologram.]

Please..! I'm working on it!

2) Walk the Tiles of Style

[Having braved a fashion-related quest last year, Frieda gathered her courage to also participate in this new one! She and her fellow contestant are each standing in front of a hopscotch-esque glowing tile pattern, wearing a modesty glamour looking like a plain, short unicolour outfit over their undergarments (hers, in fairness, would already cover as much skin on their own). Each step will generate a random outfit component for them: 1) Shoes, 2) Legwear, 3) Top/Dress, 4) Outerwear, 5) Headwear (with options for bonus 6) Jewely and 7) Bag if they jump on a couple of extra fields!).

Weaverinne, the fashionista sprite who called the challenge, announces its start: "Who of these two will get lucky and be blessed with sylish new 'fit? If they're unfortunate, it may just be neither!" She laughs. "Let's go, contestants!" Frieda rolls her dice and hops onto the first field - and a pair of light pink lace-up combat boots materialise around her feet. So far, so good!]

My boots from home are still good, but these are nice...

Winter Quests

3) Delivered Cold

[Despite the significant map expansion, the Frozen Falls are still quite a way out from the nearest teleport stone. Anyone searching for treasure out there will need protection, which is why Frieda goes together with a fellow questmate (chosen or guild-assigned). She may not be the greatest with a pickaxe, but she'll do her best - and should they face any danger, she'll call on her titan powers! Once onsite, she marvels at the ice field.]

I wonder how well the ice will keep in a Hammerspace Purse... we should probably leave it all out in the snow until we're ready to return home.

4) Trees Full of Medicine

[Another trek into the cold that might last a few days if Frieda's quest partner doesn't have a fast transport! If nothing else, she does have a Luxury Tent, Barrier Stones, and various other helpful equipment... but perhaps, the task itself won't take them all that long, given that they know what they're looking for.]

Is that one of the golden squirrels over there? Or is it just the sun on its fur?

5) Spirits of New Years Past, Present and Future

[Frieda always wears the ring she found in her pocket after the eerie encounter in the forest near the Unnamed Mountain, the one that bears an inscription of 'Use this when you want to see the invisible'. Maybe it'll help her with this quest... but in any case, it'd be unconsciable to leave the missing natives in the spirits' clutches! As she and her companion near the last known location of the latest people to have been reported missing, she wonders:]

6) Going Downhill

[In preparation for this quest, Frieda first had to research what a slinky is. Now that she sees them moving around at the foot of the Breeze Hills, she's still baffled at what strange things they are.]

Are they really alive..? I think my titan could handle them, but...

[Is it really alright to kill them? Granted, they have been trapping people and sapping their energy with their strange spiral body, but they don't look very frightful!]

7) Now I See

[Hedgemoles are new to Frieda as well, but going by the description, they don't appear to be all that dangerous. When she and her questmate arrive at the farmlands, they immediately see the sizeable heaps of soil the creatures surfaced from on prior occasions.]

I wonder how we could best scare them off. Scarecrows won't work if they come from the underground.

[Of course, violence is always an option, but for Frieda, it should be the last resort! (Note: Depending on how this quest goes, they might unlock the Boss Battle Quest The Great Worm Lord Rises!)]

8) Berry Mayhem

[2000 Moon Coins per pouch of berries is nothing to scoff at, all the more since bearries are said to be so tame and harmless! Frieda has a generous offering of fresh fruits and vegetables in her Hammerspace Purse as she and her questmate search for the elusive bears - potentially soon via titan, if her companion doesn't have a winged mount or similar transport that'd allow for a good view of the area.]

If we can't find any bearries even from an aerial view, maybe we should leave some of the fruits and vegetables out when we set up camp in the evening. Or do you think we'd end up attracting all kinds of other wildlife that way?

Summer Quests

9) In the Deep

[Considering the role she played in the signing of the peace treaty between the two merfolk in the Great Ocean Lake, Frieda hurries to come to the sirens' aid, despite not really being well equipped for underwater battles. Giant creatures eating people brings back terrible memories (inherited or gleaned from others as they may be), and it being moray eels feels personal on another level! Having seen first-hand how Jade constricted around an enemy siren in his merman form, she can imagine what terror these undead fish are spreading in the lake.

Once onsite, equipped with her silvery white fish tail and gills thanks to her Mermaid Necklace, she carefully stalks through a kelp forest with her questmate. They're far down in the Great Ocean Lake, and without her titan powers, the cold would likely sap her energy.]

I think I see one in the ruins ahead. We have to be very careful; if they're as fast as regular moray eels, we may get overwhelmed if we can't surprise it.

10) Shining, Shimmering, Splendid

[Whoever accompanies Frieda on the ingredient collection mission will find that the merfolk living on the upper levels of the Great Ocean Lake know her well already. They animatedly exchange the latest news on the way to the caves, and when a mermaid mentions the rubber duck pollution, she wonders aloud to her questmate:]

I feel like this isn't the first location people found rubber ducks in, is it? I wonder where they come from.

[But the first priority now will be the search for rare seashells and gems! Frieda's light magic illuminates the cave they enter, and even her Magikarp, which she brought along, swims in circles for a moment to marvel at the sight.]

11) Angry Leaves

[Agressive flowers... that's something Frieda might have expected in the fairy garden under fae occupation, perhaps, but not so much in the Summer Segment's grasslands. If negotiations are possible, she wants to attempt them! Alas, things aren't off to a good start as the small plants uproot themselves to attack her. She quickly gets up from her crouched position, but already, some of them are clambering up her skirt!]

Please..! Why are you so angry? We don't want to harm you!

Autumn Quests

12) Blood for the Tree Lords

[Frieda never heard of treanpires before, but there's a first time for everything, especially here in Ellipsa. Out and about in the Autumn Segment with her questmate, she worriedly observes the overcast sky.]

If there's going to be a thunderstorm, we'll have to set up camp... is there any shelter?

[Her eyes wander across the heath. There are clusters of tall bushes and groups of trees, but can all of the latter even be trusted - and not only because of the risk of lightning strikes?]

13) Deadly Lullaby

[The Great Tree of Death, rumoured to show people premonitions of their demise, is a landmark Frieda avoided thus far. Determined to change the course of the future back home, she's too afraid of what she might see in such a vision. She doesn't want her efforts to be in vain! Given that people have recently disappeared in the forest, however, she's here now, accompanied by only her questmate in the eerie autumn woods. At one point, she stops, listening carefully.]

14) Mystery of Weapons

[Being a pacifist at heart, with the vow renouncing war only strengthening her resolve to avoid fighting whenever possible, Frieda doesn't own a weapon. But with the new year's beginning, should she not arm herself to be less of a liability? The rumours of mysterious weapons that perfectly suit whoever picks them up seems too good to be true, but then again, have they not experienced similar phenomena before (the winged mounts, for one, that obey the one who tames them)? Walking with her questmate, she ponders the matter.]

[The sword pokémon teleports away and reappears in front of the fleeing snowskeletons, surprising them. It manages to snatch a clothing item from one of them with a sash-like arm, but the creatures only hold on to the rest all the harder as they try to get away.]

It's Like Hell Out There
[Possibility of unlocking 'There Once Was a Ship']

Wuk Lamat was still very new in Ellipsa, but that didn't mean she would sit by idly. Instead she goes where the action is and helps out any way she can. Which meant fighting off some demons. They were definitely different from the monsters back home, but still nothing she couldn't handle (now if it was ghosts, she might have been a bit spooked. Just a tiny bit).

One of her specialities is drawing the attention of monsters. Which was what she was intend on doing, so others could more easily attack the monsters. She was a tank, so she could handle some hits. But whenever she had a chance she was smacking things will all her might with her trusty giant axe.

If she sees someone surrounded by demons and/or struggling she will throw her axe at the demons to gain their attention. "Hey! Over here you uglies!"

Spring

Going Downhill

What's a slinkie, is the thought that ran through Wuk Lamat's mind when she read the quest. Well, whatever it was, it was threatening people, right? So she's there to deal with them.

And getting stuck inside a slinkie.

"Uhh... are you going to move? Cause I came here to fight you... and you're not moving at all." She's not yet noticing the energy drain. "I wonder if these are ticklish..."


Everybody was Kung Fu Ducking

"I never thought I'd see birds using martial arts... I wonder if that makes them tastier or more bitter?" She wondered if they'd also be as tasty as the monstrous colibri was after a hard battle. Clearly her mind was on food and she had her eyes on the next dinner.

Thankfully, she still noticed an attack coming and blocked off a tonfa-attack with her axe, grinning. "But first, let's see what these guys are made off."

Scales, Wings, and Chaos Things

Babysitting had sounded easy, but now Wuk Lamat was wondering if she could actually do this. The baby fairy dragons were adorable, but their songs were making her very, very drowsy and confused. She didn't have the best defense against attacks like that!!

Apparently, she mad a good mattress, it seemed. Which is why anyone could see a giant lion lady conquered by baby dragons. Some of them were also drooling on her. At least it didn't smell like alpaca spit...

Trash Bins Are Back, Alright

Ed had been chasing some of the trash cans for a while now. Some of them he had managed to empty just by transforming them into different shapes (temporarily, although the bins had weird spike and skull decorations when returned back to their original shape). It was simple and easy, and perhaps that's why he lowered his guard.

He was swallowed by a trash bin all of a sudden. For a moment things are quiet, but then a bright blue, lightning like light comes out and the trash bin is transformed into a temporary archway (the trash is all over the road).

"IF YOU THINK THAT TRASH BIN WAS JUST MY SIZE YOU'LL HAVE HELL COMING OVER GHOST!!"

Yeah, Ed might be a bit offended that the trash bin was slightly too small for him to fit in. Even ghosts are making fun of him, it seemed! (They aren't).

But he does transform the trash bin back into what it was (with a rose-skull decoration theme) and starts putting the trash back in.

Winter

It's Like Hell Out There
[Possibility of unlocking 'There Once Was a Ship']

Compared to some things Ed has seen, the demons and ghouls didn't seem too bad. Sure, it was still gross, but he was able to just fight them as normal. Any rocks and ground gets transmutated into fists to punch the demons but also into spikes to pierce them. For close combat, he has his automail hand transmutated into a blade so he can stab them, but he also kicks them with his automail leg when necessary.

At some point he does need a break so he retreats a little further away, sighing heavily.

"There's really no end to them."

Spring

Everybody was Kung Fu Ducking

Ducks doing martial arts, eh? Well, Ed happened to be very good at martial arts so he's up for the challenge. Which is why he can be met having actual duels with Kung Fu Ducks, as they do make for pretty good opponents.

If he seems like he's enjoying this... well he might. He misses sparring with Alphonse. While this isn't the same, he does still have fun.

"I gotta say, pretty good for a bird."

Summer

Fly Away

If someone told him cacti flew he would have laughed. But seeing them himself... well, he has to believe what he sees. Good thing he's able to lift himself higher in the air by making platforms appear beneath him with alchemy, so he can actually reach the bastards.

One of the cacti manages to shoot its needles at him, intending on finishing the job by diving in for a hug. The needles hit Ed's automail so he remains unaffected and he manages to raise a wall to stop the cactus from hitting him more.

"Sorry, automails don't have veins", he says as he prepares for another attack.

They Always Get the Nose Wrong

Yogi was looking a little different than normal. His nose was a cute little cat nose instead of his regular one. While he didn't mind it (especially if it was temporary... he hopes it's temporary), the whiskers did tickle him quite a bit.

"Hey! Come back! Or at least fix the others' nose if you don't want to fix mine!" he yells after the fairy he's chasing while flying without any visible help.

He could use vines to trap the fairy, but he doesn't want to risk destroying the pictures. Who knows what happens if they get damaged. Would the people's face crack? He doesn't want to think about that!!

Winter

Trees Full of Medicine

Yogi opted to do more gathering quests this time, but mostly he wanted to make sure others would be alright going into the forests. Sort of a double thing, where he gathered things, but also protected whoever he was with.

So far so good, nothing seemed out of the orginary. Yogi still kept a close watch. His ever faithful warm snowman companion (Yukkin) followed them, offering the chance to warm up with a hug.

"Hmm... are those the squirrels? They at least look very shiny."

Summer

Angry Leaves

"HEY WAIT I--- AAAAAAAA!!"

That sure is someone screaming at a nearby meadow. Yogi tries to walk in to talk with the angry plants, but sure enough, he was immediately attacked by them.

Anyone running to his rescue will find Yogi with his mouth full of petals.

"Mbwe cafefful", he tries to warn whoever is there.

Ice and Slime, Both Are Slippery
[Possibility of unlocking 'Even Slimier']

Jean had encountered Slime Toads before. This time he made sure he wasn't going with Hijikata "I am too confident for my own good" Toshirou. He didn't want a repeat of what happened before.

Luckily, the area chosen was full of trees that he could use with his ODM gear. He keeps to the air whenever the toads are huge and slices them into smaller toads, trusting his partner to deal with the smaller ones. He's fast and agile, occasionally resting against a tree trunk to check the situation.

"Are you doing alright?" he calls out.


It's Like Hell Out There (February onwards)
[Avoiding boss battle this time]

The situation at the glacier was still going on, so Jean decided to join the fight. Perhaps it was also revenge for his sworn sister (or guilt for not being there to protect her last time) but mostly the demons were becoming a problem.

The demons looked hideous, which made this one of the most unpleasant missions to deal with. Just how long was one of the tongues that kept chasing him as he zoomed around with his ODM gear? Long enough to be tied around a tree, apparently.

"It's stuck! Attack it!"

Meanwhile there was a multi-faced demon approaching at a very high speed at him to crash into him. "Oh for fucks-"

At least he manages to turn enough to avoid worst of the damage, but damn it hurts being bodyslammed into a tree by something. He better not break something again or he'll scream.

Summer

Shining, Shimmering, Splendid

Jean doesn't get a lot of opportunities to use his Mermaid form, so he decides to help out with gathering ingredients from the underwater caves. His tails is a very bright one and also impossibly long like his legs usually are. Easy to spot, at least.

Despite the size of his tail, he still manages to dive into the caves pretty well. There he's found plenty of seashells at least. And ... rubber ducks.

"I think we need a separate bag for rubber ducks at this rate."

Autumn

Blood for the Tree Lords

A mixture of a tree and a vampire. Well, there are crazier things around, he supposed. At least so far his ODM gear blades were sharp enough to cut any vines that tries to grab at him.

Against roots, however, he wasn't quite as prepared, so he ends up being tangled upside down from his leg for a while. Which was embarrassing. At least his boots were thick enough to stop any blood from being taken immediately.

"Focus on attacking it, don't mind me!" he yells at his quest partner and proceeds to cut the roots and use his gear to stop himself from falling flat on his head. He also cuts the roots nearby into small pieces in retaliation.

Testing Testing... Courage

Why is he here again. How was he talked into doing the test of courage again. He's done it twice already and didn't like either time. He was not going to like this time either. So he's huffing angrily at whoever he's with.

"I'm telling you, this is a bad idea and we should just leave before they close the doors on u--"

BANG. The door behind them has now been closed. That's already something that makes him nervous, but he steels himself.

"Oh great. If something goes terribly wrong I'm using a travel crystal to get us out of here, got it?"

Shining, Shimmering, Splendid

[Frieda, who visits the Great Ocean Lake often, is happy to have Jean with her on this quest. Their fish tails are an unexpected contrast, his with its bright fiery colours and slightly spiky fins and hers with its silvery white palette and smooth shape. That aside, it's probably the first time he sees her Magikarp, which is by now big enough that a person can hardly hold it in their arms anymore. It happily explores its surroundings, but doesn't stray too far from them.]

These rubber ducks keep turning up in different locations... it's starting to feel like someone's leaving them on purpose. But so many?

[Why would anybody do that? Regardless, she takes out an extra bag - a locally made one, woven from seaweeds and more like a net than anything else - to collect the plastic toys in.]

[Rinku is taking out chunks of ice by melting the ice around them, almost like she's sculpting ice with the flames. She catches the block that tumbles out and makes a happy noise, setting it onto the cart with the others.]

[Gotta ask the girl who loves nature to help with the animals! She's set out some Creature Treats and a bag of mixed nuts and watches the squirrels come in.]

She's more than used to music with a hypnotic touch, and she stands her ground, singing her own music under her breath, resisting. Resisting.

[Having been around so many different creatures and concepts, Meteion feels naturally at home with the various animals. Bird of a feather flock together, as they say. So she's already admiring the squirrels.]

i. old habits die hard

[Stop doing something for a length of time and get paid for it. Simple, right?
Plenty of people do this every new year-- they pick something they don't like about themselves and then promise to change it. And then after a month they're back on their habits like nothing happened.

Katsuki never understood that tradition, especially because his mom was a particularly annoying victim of it. She always had some new resolution every single year and every time he'd point out that she broke it, she would flip out. It was so stupid, and now there's a money reward attached to doing it. Though, of course, the point this time is to not actually give in and give up. To keep it going as long as possible. So.... stupid, but it sounds simple. Katsuki wasn't his mom, he could definitely keep a resolution going for even months after the challenge is up!


... Except for when you choose a resolution that's practically impossible for you to keep.]

His resolution was to not blow up at anything. He'd gotten better at that so surely it was the right choice....... yeah, no. Absolutely not. He definitely should have chosen something easier. And he looks about to be on the verge of a meltdown over the fact that he can't keep his resolution for more than 2 hours--]

[Whoosh! Right by your head flies a faerie, holding a picture in it's arm and going fast. And following after is a very, very angry blonde haired boy with a cute little kitten nose on his face. And the only thing that stops him is the person in his way.

Who he very quickly recruits into his shenanigans.]

YOU! Hurry! Catch that stupid bug!!

[Katsuki points at the faerie with one arm, the other sitting neatly in a sling. It's a bit hard to catch with one arm out of commission, so three arms are better than one right??]

iii. walk walk fashion baby

[Katsuki enjoyed the fact that there were quests to do that didn't just involve fighting or physical labour-- two things he didn't want to jump right into with his dominant arm not functioning. He still wasn't sure what was up with that, but he wasn't going to let it stop him from earning some money and finding things to do.

Something he loved in particular were challenges, and when he came across a so called "fashion sprite" holding a challenge of their own he was intrigued enough to check it out. He wasn't sure if he would join in, depending on how stupid it was, but he followed the sprite to their hopscotch game and watched others play for a little bit. The rules seemed simple enough -- land on the correct squares that make a "fashionable" outfit and win. But what made it difficult was the fashion part... that stuff was completely subjective, wasn't it? What one person found fashionable, another was sure to find it looking like trash and that ended up the case with most of the passing outfits that Katsuki observed. He personally found them kind of garish, but he understood what made each of them stand out. And the more he observed, the more he learned.

It was finally time for him to give it a try, and like with most things in his life he ends up passing on the first try. His outfit was a bit simple, and something he'd actually be fine if he died wearing it thus it didn't land a perfect score like he had wanted. But he wasn't forced to wear something stupid or no clothes at all as a punishment, so he took it. It gave him a boost of confidence, too. Which was always nice.

After his run, he sticks around to watch other people give it a try to see if there's anything he could to to improve. And he can't help himself when he sees someone step on a square and completely ruin their outfit (in his opinion).]

Not those shoes, are you crazy?! With that jacket? You should've went for the square on the left!

[Honestly, it's a mystery how Hijikata ended up in this competition. He was just spectating, having no clue about fashion, but while he watched, his confidence grew that he could totally do this too... and here he is, taking criticism from his fellow player - or not taking it, as it were.]

Emeth was running down the hall her hand over her nose and her rolled up picture clutched tightly in her hand.

Her mother had been right, never trust anyone with magic except for her. But it was fine, it was fine. She’d fixed it when it had first happened while they’d been out shopping and she could just fix it again.

Or so she thought, no matter how much energy she used to force her nose back into it’s normal shape the moment she stopped concentrating her nose would shift back to the wart covered hooked nose, the “Witch” nose that was on the picture.

“W-what?” Emeth stared at her reflection in the bathroom window. “But why…”

She’d try again, and again and again.

“Why won’t it stay fixed!!”

While it was normal for small children to lose their temper in moments like this, this would be the first time anyone living with Emeth would have seen her this angry or frustrated at anything.



B: Trash Bins Are Back, Alright – Open

“Help!”

Emeth was running down the street pretty quickly for a kid, but it wasn’t fast enough to escape the bin that scooped her up. How had a shopping trip with her guardians suddenly turned to this.

“Help! Get me out!”

Emeth make sure to make her voice shrill and scared sounding as she assessed her situation. She wasn’t hurt, and save for being dirty and carried away it seemed like she would be staying unharmed. She figured it would be safe to carry on crying for help instead of doing something drastic.

“Please get me out!”

A lot's felt calmed since Shoto's first laid his eyes on it. A kindly mermaid leads him through, and he recalls the posting's promise of pretty stones, shells, and "jewels"; eyes moss-furred walls for shimmers of abalone and pearl. He scans for shells, tracing the sediment as he sinks floor-deep, when he's noticed the shadows of one and newly additional presence.

He knows the face, though it takes some seconds for his name to return, and the boy blinks back.]

[Still-shy warmth. The way he digs to find the words, to make an effort-]

[ perhaps you've been caught by the Dark fae's singing. perhaps you're just arriving, and are gearing up to brace against their song. either way, what cuts through the current noise is... the strum of a guitar? ]

Well, darkness has a hunger that's insatiable
and lightness has a call that's hard to hear—

[ someone else is singing a cheerful, jaunty tune right over the fae, and the sound of their voice is a source of strength against the lure of the lullaby. Kaiko herself isn't fighting—yet, though she crackles with electricity—but the vicious and focused grin on her face as she sings and wields her guitar like a weapon is a pretty good indication she's having a good time. ]

[Rinku had found the music hard to resist, but then, so is Kaiko's. She snaps out of it and absolutely lights up. Striking at the dark fae with her light ribbon, she pulls out her phone with her other hand -- easier to use in the middle of a battle than her entire DJ booth -- and starts messing with a backing track to blend with Kaiko's voice and guitar.]
