Candy Obstacle Saga | Oh no! Someone dropped all of our experimental candies all over the mall. Now some places are blocked off because of them. We designed them to make one of the mobile games into an actual, rewarding mini game, but now they're just obstacles. Fortunately, it seems they work just like the game would, like we hoped. Please help us clear the candies - and feel free to eat any you collect. | Trying to jump or fly over them will result in being pushed back. Trying to destroy them with weapons or magic will reflect the attack back to the person. It seems the only way to proceed is physically moving the candies so they make a three line - so team up with someone. Every cleared candy will give the players regular-sized, edible candy. Making a line of three candies will make them disappear. Getting four on row makes a striped candy that will clear a whole row (best not stand right on the row you might get knocked back). Making an L-shaped formation will make a wrapped, explosive candy that destroys the surrounding candies twice (again, best not to be too close to the explosion). Five in a row makes an extra special sprinkled candy that will clear every candy of certain color. Unpredictably, the candies will keep reappearing for a while when destroyed. It seems clearing a certain number of one color will clear them all, eventually! What color it is is usually indicated by the color on the wall. | Candy, 1000 Moon Coins per game |
Prepare for Trouble and Make it Double | Happy Halloween-time of the year! Our store (the Party Hardy) is organizing a fashion show of halloween costumes, with a twist! We want this to be done in pairs! We either give you a theme or a prop and you coordinate a matching outfit together. You can also do it with more people, but not alone. Those who want a challenge and win extra can do this by completely cutting communications with your partner. In other words working in different rooms and then seeing what kind of costumes you come up with from the same theme. The closer they are to matching, the better the prize. Once the costumes are done, you do a little walk on the catwalk together. After that you can keep your costumes for the festivities ahead. | Go wild with costume ideas, but please keep them all SFW. There are all sorts of clothing, accessories and other props in the dressing rooms. Some of them even have magical effects like fake fire or levitating weapons, depending on what you're going for. The judges are very lax, so the costumes don't need to be exactly matching - but the closer they are the better, of course. Those who manage to coordinate a costume without knowing what the other is doing will be praised and told they must be soulmates, whether it's platonically or romantically. | Anywhere between 500-2000 Moon Coins, A free costume |
Sleepovers in SEAKEA | For the next two months, SEAKEA is offering a chance to sleep at our store. You can come here for a night or for several, use any of the rooms like they're yours and just enjoy. The restaurants are open all night if you're craving for food. There are also places to set up small parties or play games like hide and seek. There is also the SEAKEA Maze you may attempt, made with our furniture. Those who go through the maze will get a special goods bags. We're doing this to promote our wares and possibly improve on them. So any opinions can be left on opinion boards provided for everyone. | Unbeknownst to the SEAKEA staff, some of the more mischievous ghosts have infiltrated some of these sleepovers. They may start scaring people (rattling chains, making eerie 'ooOooOoooo' sounds etc) and moving furniture and other items around. They're even making the SEAKEA maze even harder. The special goods bags include various small, but useful items that can be found from homes. Some of them may be goofy in design, but still work as intended. | 100 Moon Coins per night spent, free food, one free furniture, goodie bag (maze bonus) |

I Always Feel Like Someone is Watching Me CW/TW: stalking, jumpscares, being chased | There's something moving in the forest just north to the Unnamed Mountain. I don't know what it is, but it feels dangerous. Like you're constantly being watched. It's making people really uncomfortable. Maybe it should be investigated? | Anyone who enters the forest to investigate will feel the eyes on them even more intensely. After traveling in the forest for a while it gets increasingly uncomfortable. Those who actually manage to continue and don't flee will soon find what can only be described as the Slenderman. A creepy black figure with tendril like arms who will appear like a jumpscare and start chasing people. It never actually attacks - nor do attacks harms it. Upon escaping the forest after meeting the Slenderman, something drops into their pockets. A ring that has the description of "Use this when you want to see the invisible". The ring will allow a person to see silhouettes of things they would normally not see (ghosts/spirits included) but not their proper form - nor can they interact with them. | 3000 Moon Coins, a ring |
Is Bone Juice That Delicious? CW/TW: gore, bone sucking, death | Natives are finally able to visit the Winter Segment and couldn't be happier! However some of them seem adamant to go outside the marked paths. Bodies of the natives have started to turn up because of that. They're all in the same condition: all of their bones in their body have been sucked out. Everything else is completely intact. It must be that one enemy again, back for revenge. | The monsters behind the case are called Warlock Skeletons. The suck bones out of living things with their dark magic to make skeletons that move and do their bidding. They can be killed as long as the powerful jewel on their neck is destroyed. However, they have placed a barrier around the jewel that stops anyone from grabbing it with methods like telekinesis. The barrier can be destroyed by destroying another, hidden jewel. | 5000 Moon Coins |
Snowball's Chance | A species of sentient snowballs have appear in the Winter Segment. They're very adorable with their little faces, hands and feet - but they are very, very angry. They have knives (where did they get those?) and they attempt to stab people and their horses - only getting their ankles. Which isn't too dangerous, but it's very annoying and hurts. People have tried to stomp them, but they just reform and are even angrier. I saw one of them calm down after it got a scarf from someone and wrapped it around itself. Maybe that's a clue? | The Snow Ballers are jealous of people who have warm clothes on their person. They also want that fluffy and nice feeling! It's very cold, being a sentient snowball. Helping them get what they want will calm them and stop them from attacking. Destroying them will only make them reform themselves and become angrier. Even melting them into a puddle doesn't help. | 1000 Moon Coins |

Don't Eat Your Veggies CW/TW: eaten alive | Giant mutant vegetables have appeared all around the Spring Segment. Theory is that they're angry about vegetables being eaten... so they're trying to eat people and animals that eat them. Scorching, cutting and smashing them should do it. They're all very similar to the vegetables they originally were, but they have giant mouths with sharp teeth and mean eyes. Some of them even pop out of the ground without a warning. | The giant vegetables are all sorts of vegetables you can find. Most common are the carrots and the cucumbers, less likely to attack are broccoli and cauliflower. They don't have any special attacks - they will just try to eat anything they find offensive. | 4000 Moon Coins |
Rabbits Need Scritches Again | A migrating group of Giant Rabbits has recently arrived back to the Spring Segment and now they're shedding off their winter fur. The problem is they're really, really itchy. I feel bad for them. Could someone go scritch their fur to help them? Even comb their fur so the winter fur falls easier? You can use the fur in so many different clothes once its off, too! It's so fluffy and nice. | Giant Rabbits are Moose-sized rabbits that change segments every half a year. During the two month period a lot of them will be crossing over and needing some help with their furs. As a reward you will gain a friend for life who you can come visit anytime when you need some rabbit therapy. Thanks to last time going so well, the rabbits have gained courage to bring their little ones along. Baby rabbits are the size of deer and don't need as much scritches - but they will demand that they be played with. If the rabbit mothers see that they're a good match, they will let you adopt their babies. | 1000 Moon Coins |
❗High Risk Quest❗ Attack on Kingdom CW/TW: nightmare facing, poison, gore | We reclaimed the Fairy Kingdom, but it still needs time to recover its magics. As it is, it's still vulnerable for more attacks. The fairies can't counter all of the attacks. The corrupted fae are out for revenge and they've brought their giant familiars with them. They themselves are the size of small human children who control the beasts and set things on poisonous fire. The familiars are giant Faemoose. They're completely black creatures with glowing eyes. Not only do they have the power to stomp things to the ground and stab someone with their antlers, but they also have control over shadows and dreams. If one of their shadowy tendrils touches someone they will be trapped inside a shadow orb, forced to face their worst nightmares in their mind. Killing the faemoose will break the shadow. | Poisonous Fire is a special brand of fae fire that releases smoke that's poisonous to breathe. The smoke remains behind even if the fire is put out/made harmless. Faemoose, meanwhile, are very weak to pure light magic, lightning and their own magic turned against them. | 40 000 Moon Coins |

Mummystreet's Back Alright CW/TW: mummies, skeletons, mind control | Areas near the Deserter's Desert have recently seen an increased amount of Mummies. They have certainly appeared from out of nowhere (or from sand, actually). They're a menace, but not in a fatal way. Instead they're trying to wrap bandages around people to turn them into them. The bandages do have a 1/50 chance to actually make someone completely act like a mummy (walking in a trance, wrapping bandages around people) that can be canceled by taking the bandages off. They should be dealt with as soon as possible. | The mummies are otherwise mostly harmless, but the Research Center would appreciate if someone captured a few of them so they could study them! Actual mummies have skeletons underneath all the bandages but nothing else. If they're stripped of their bandages they will comically cover their genital area and run away. | 2000 Moon Coins |
Pirates of the Great Lake: The Comeback | Mysterious ships have made an appearance on the Great Ocean Lake: ghost ships and pirate octopi ships. They're disturbing all life on the lake, throwing explosive and other things into it. The Research Center has provided ships that can be taken to the waters and some pirate outfits to fit the theme (optional). Destroy the enemy ships and restore peace to the lake! | Ghost Ships are ships that don't seem to have any members onboard (or they can only be seen by the Winter holders). Pirate Octopi are octopi with eyepatches (and some even have mechanical tentacles in place of normal ones). The ships rarely fight each other but they don't consider each other allies either. | 3000 Moon Coins |
Took the Wrong Turn | I never thought I'd say this, but I saw Polar Bears in the Summer Segment. What are they doing all the way in the Summer Segment? Poor guys must be feeling hot. They need to be returned home to the Winter Segment as soon as possible. Please help the poor bear. | The Polar Bears were unfortunate victims of Teleport Fairy pranks. They are now lost and confused and need cooling down - and help getting back home. Getting them to the Southern Cold Sea in the Autumn Segment helps with most of the way, as they can swim north to their natural habitats. | 3000 Moon Coins |

All Hail the Pumpkin King | A species of sentient scarecrows with pumpkins for their heads have been doing a series of trials to compete who is the strongest and best fit for being the Pumpkin King. Unfortunately these trials often include stealing, scaring and fighting with anyone who comes even close to the Segment. Please put an end to their trials. Their special ability is controlling regular crows, so be careful of getting pecked. | When someone defeats enough Pumpkin Scarecrows in a group, the survivors will bring a crown made of wheat and fallen leaves and try to put it on the victor's head - this crown is in no way magical. They will crown even someone who isn't a scarecrow. There can be multiple pumpkin kings. They're not exactly well organized. Those who have been previously "crowned" as Pumpkin Royals will be challenged to multiple rematches. | 1000 Moon Coins |
I Said Leaf Me Alone | Majority of the autumn leaves have turned magical and have started to cause people to fall into a state of sleep whenever they hit someone. Luckily, most people have fallen asleep on the safe zones, but there are those who did not. Be careful not to get hit by the leaves and try to get rid of them instead, all while saving the people sleeping in wrong places. As long as a leaf remains on someone they will either sleep or feel very drowsy and the more leaves they have on them the more potent the effect is. | The effect is less effective through clothes, but will still make one feel sleepy/yawn a lot. With enough layers of clothes the characters will be able to collect the leaves for extra potent sleeping potions. However it's not recommended to eat the leaves as they are, as it might lead to a comatose state instead. A strange new effect is that people get very angry when someone tries to stop them from sleeping. They might even smack someone. | 2000 Moon Coins |
❗High Risk Quest❗ The Blue Flames CW/TW: burns, death danger | We all know Angler Will-o'-the-Wisps are really, really dangerous. They don't seem so bad compared to this other type of Will-o'-the-Wisp that has been discovered. Dubbed as the 'Flame of the End', they are giant (4 metres/13.12 feet) humanoid creatures made out of blue flames. Fire magic doesn't affect them, water doesn't extinguish them. They attempt to burn everything to the ground, friend or foe. Those who've managed to escape them are still in pain because if the flames touch someone, the pain remains with them forever until the creature who did it is killed. | The Flames of the End can be defeated by closing them into a confined space. Between rocks, into a box, buried underground. As long as it can't escape through the cracks, you'll win. It can be cut into smaller pieces and dealt with piece by piece. | 50 000 Moon Coins |

Color of Your Underwear | Hey all! We're looking for models for our new underwear line, made to fit all genders, sizes, ages and races! There are several designs, colors and all types are customisable for anyone. Some of them also have some magical properties, but all of them are labeled as such. Head over to the Underground Mall and the 'United in Sexy Underwear' store to participate! You also get free underwear of your choice. | Magical properties include: changing color depending on mood, making certain body parts look more naturally enchanting, sparkles for modeling, literal fireworks when someone gets horny (feel free to come up with other mostly harmless and potentially embarrassing ones). Most of the underwear IS labeled, but some have been mixed up so the effects may be a surprise. The pictures will be displayed on billboards in the Underground Mall as well as their city on the Internet, but everyone is expected to sign a contract saying it's fine. Of course someone can just miss the fine print. | 10,000 Moon Coins, free underwear (magic effect or not) |
Love for Pole Dancing | Our group, The Magical Pole Dancers, is hosting FREE lessons in magical pole dancing. We will go through the basics at first and then make our way to more advanced and magical pole dancing skills. You will also get a free magical pole you can just set up at home and then store it in a magical pouch when you don't use it. What does the magical part mean? Well, we also work as strippers so some of the magic is meant to arouse our audience and make them only look at us, but there are also skills that just boost others' mood, bring someone into a more relaxed space of mind. Some spells are also just for yourself to relax after a hard day. You can even make yourself feel like you're dancing in the air while being completely safe on the pole. | Due to the nature of some of the spells, the places for the lessons have private rooms for people who get too affected by the magic. Lessons usually have 2-5 students at a time with 2 different NPC teachers. | Free Lessons, Magical Pole & Pouch for it, Pole Dancing Spells |
City Crime Quests
This questboard is on an app on the phone and is only unlockable if your character has received a (handwaved) code for it from one of the crime organizations or just criminals of Nightwake. Another way is to hack your way in if you know it exists.
You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonable way for your character to get there.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.
Should players doing these quests wish for IC consequences, they may report their character here - or just assume that NPC law enforcement characters are on a lookout for them.

Emotional Crimes CW/TW: power sapping, capture | I have an experimental device that will help capture anyone into a cage made with emotion magic. I want people to test it on others, preferably otherworlders since they have all sorts of powers. The cage is made to nullify powers (both their native ones and their power holder ones) when it surrounds someone. Only way to break out of it is by countering the emotion with a stronger one or the person who made the cage cancels it. Whatever you decide to do with the person you capture is none of my business and I take no responsibility for it. Just leave a review on the app on how it works to earn your prize the next day. | The cages are made with magical energy and emotion magic. Strongest of all emotions is 'Love' and it will break any cage even before it properly forms around someone. After that comes 'Hate', which is next to impossible to break unless countered by Love. Otherwise, emotions work opposites. Someone traps you with Sadness as the core emotion? Counter it with Happiness. Only negative emotions can be made to make the cages; only positive ones can break them. Neutral ones are either or. The device breaks after three uses and becomes useless. It can be recreated if someone is technology savvy enough. Please remember to ask permission for anything and discuss how the situations go. Consent is important OOCly. | 10,000 Moon Coins |
One Rule: Don't Look CW/TW: cursed things, body parts, death-danger | I have a lot of packages to deliver. My only rule is that you don't open them. You must deliver them to the set locations and leave them with the directions given. If you end up opening them, I'm not responsible and you don't get paid. The client will know if it was opened and inform me right away. Oh, and giving the package willingly to cops? Gets you straight on my shit list. | The packages are picked up from and delivered to different places inside Nightwake. The person is actually rooting for someone to open the packages along the way, but they will also be pleased if the packages reach the recipients. Inside you may find: A smoke bomb curse that will get released the moment the package is opened (turns anyone who breathes in the smoke into a stone statue, slowly and painfully - cured by a kiss), a ravenous demonic creature (of your own design!) that will go on a murder rampage, an electric shock meant to cause a district-wide blackout, a body part or something other cursed that you come up with. | 20,000 Moon Coins |
Quest Plotting Form
Evangeline | Original (Lobotomy Corporation) | Summer
So, the good thing is, I checked and summer shapeshifting to spruce up costumes is okay! -The bad news is I'm still pretty new to this sort of thing. Last year I heard 'dress as something scary' and went as a Sweeper, and then everybody at the party was wearing sexy costumes instead.
But I'm willing to try if you are! I just might need a little bit of guidance on the right scary-to-hot ratio.
[Hopefully her partner is more experienced with Halloween than she is!]
[I Always Feel Like Someone is Watching Me]
[When the Slendermann jumps out at her and her travel companion, of course Evangeline is Evangeline at them instead of running away.]
Oh! Hi! It's nice to meet you, handsome!
[...The Slenderman just stops and looks at her. She looks at them back. It's kind of awkward.]
...Not much of a talker, huh?
[Took the Wrong Turn]
[Currently fretting over an overheated polar bear.]
I'm a Summer, there's not a lot I can do to cool this guy down... I've got a water bottle in my purse, do you think that would help?
[Love for Pole Dancing]
[Let me know if you want to thread this and I'll put a starter in your IC inbox! Taking classes with other characters or showing off what she's learned to CR, anything works.]
slenderman........
Are... you lost or something? Are you the guy who's been scaring people? Maybe they just need to get to know you!

Took the Wrong Turn
[As overheated as the polar bear looks, it's still a wild animal, and while Frieda knows what a capable fighter Evangeline is, she doesn't want her to have to fight yet again.]
If it isn't afraid or aggressive, I can just teleport us all to the Winter Segment.
[They're not exactly dressed for it, but Evangeline can keep herself warm, and Frieda's titan powers do a good job at keeping her from getting sick.]

Depends what people consider "scary", I guess.
[ To him, that's honestly kind of the same thing... he'd probably leave a room full of "sexy" costumes faster than he would after running into something "scary". Unless it's the proper kind of scary, like existential dread or fear of failure, but how the fuck would you dress up as something like that? ]

[ Either way, he's here, keeping a bit of a distance from the bear just in case, though he seems to be relaxing a little as the animal is tolerating Evangeline and just looks miserable in the heat. ]
...Don't worry about that. I have all the water we could need.
[ Has he mentioned that he has Winter powers before? Well, if not, she's about to find out! ]
[ Except he doesn't try to conjure water at the moment. Instead, the temperature around him -- and the bear -- appears to gradually but quickly plummet into sub-zero degrees. Hopefully she brought a jacket... though just taking ten steps to the right should do the trick too! ]

Kantera | END ROLL (Imeeji CRAU) | Spring
An excuse to sleep in an extremely comfortable bed? Don't mind if I do.
[Kantera has a very large bat plushie that he's cuddling. There's ghosts rattling their chains in the background, but...]
-They don't seem to be physically harmful, so we ought to just ignore them, no?
[Rabbits Need Scritches Again]
This is an enormous struggle. [Despite his words, he's happily playing with a baby rabbit the size of a deer fawn.] I already have two rabbits, a cat, and a Pokemon, please remind me I don't need to adopt another pet.
[But it's so SOFT.]
[I Said Leaf Me Alone]
Excuse me, but please wake up.
[Gently shaking your shoulder... sorry about this, but you shouldn't fall asleep out here!]
[Don't Eat Your Veggies]
[With the razor-sharp wind that his spring powers provide, Kantera calmly slices apart a giant carrot.]
As a doctor, I can't just abide by something discouraging people from having a healthy diet... 'Tis truly a shame, though.

[She wants to adopt one too darn it! Mukuro's got a similar sized one she's petting- all whilst it nudges her pocket for treats. Clearly it can smell the field rations she keeps there!]
Hey, slow down- I can't feed you and pet you-

[Sleepovers in SEAKEA]
Most ghosts aren't harmful. They either want attention, got unfinished business, or just want to be left alone. We can see if they leave us alone if we ignore them.
[He looks over at Kantera.]
So do you think they're hoping we'll buy these beds if we stay here enough?

Amy Rose | Sonic The Hedgehog (Archie) | Spring
“Oh, boy! Sleepover!” Amy said, cheerfully. The idea of sleeping over somewhere was exciting, even if it was at SEAKEA. It had to be fun, right?
A set of clothes to change into, snacks, blankets, pillows. This was going to be the best ever!
Of course, she had no idea about the ghosts.
Don’t Eat Your Veggies (CW: Violence, maybe gore?)
“Augh! We’re supposed to eat you, not the other way around!” Amy shouted, smashing her hammer against the carrot trying to eat her. She thought the quest talking about man-eating plants were a joke, but it wasn’t!
“You’re making me not want to eat you!”
Mummystreet’s Back, Alright!
“Uuuugh… uuuuugh…”
There’s a strange small mummy wandering around the Summer Segment that looks… off. Pink quills and fur with a hint of red dress and boots.
It’s Amy, alright. But, she’s acting like a mummy. And if she catches you, she might try to wrap you up, too.
Emotional Crimes (CW: nudity?)
Amy gasped in shock as a strange energy cage formed around her. She had spotted someone sketchy nearby and, clad in her magical girl costume, tried to ambush them. Instead, Amy found herself snagged in a strange cage.
“H-Hey! Let me go!” She shouted. She tried to summon her hammer, only to realize it hadn’t shown up. “What the…?” She tried again and again, nothing. “What gives?!”
She went to use her wind magic and even that didn’t want to work. And before she can react to that, she gasped as her costume started to glow, causing her to try and grab it, dropping to the ground as it started to fade. “Noooooo!”
One Rule: Don’t Look
Amy had just driven off a suspicious figure trying to deliver a package. He had dropped it in his panic, leaving it with Amy.
“Hello, what’s this?” She uttered, poking it. “Such an odd package.”

Nakamori "Choco Korone" Aoko | DCMK (CRAU) | Summer | cw: violence, serious or silly
[ Sitting on a bench somewhere in Nightwake is a Mysterious Parcel. It's been done up to look like a present, complete with nice, shiny gift-wrap and a bow; all the better to tempt the naive, the curious, and the opportunistic. Clearly someone accidentally left it on their way to a celebration! ]
[ Maybe your character is the one who goes to open it. Or maybe it's some random passer-by or another, and you just happen to be in the vicinity. Either way, ]
Wait, don't open that-! [ Korone calls out as she skids around the corner, her fancy titanium bo with blue and yellow detailing appearing in her hand as if by magic … too late! The moment the gift-wrap is off and the lid is even slightly open, there's a burst of dark-light and energy, and an outpouring of noxious cursed smoke. You might not realise it right away, but as well as smelling and tasting eye-wateringly godawful (overripe soggy sprouts and microwaved tuna, anyone?) it has the handy-dandy ability to interfere with your abilities to some degree. ]
[ Which is extra handy-dandily unfortunate! Because out of the smoke rises — drumroll, please — an ink-dark, humanoid-ish demonic beast with far too many eyes, too many teeth, spines, a whippy tail, tentacles, and a ravenous craving for violence (and possibly human flesh). Bystanders run screaming as, with a shriek like the horrendous lovechild of a pterodactyl and an otamatone, it launches itself straight for -
BONK.
Korone's staff in the face, apparently. Help a girl out? ]

Rinku flung a fireball at the moose. She might have looked a little silly with a Nine Lives on over her armour and a corrupted-fae-resistant cloak over that, but that wasn't important right now. She managed to dodge the moose, but seeing Max impaled, she started throwing fire at it.
Not that it seemed to hurt the moose that badly. It bellowed and started to turn, while others started coming up.

Frieda Reiss | Attack on Titan | Spring
[After Jade told her about Halloween and its dangers, Frieda feels both excited and apprehensive about experiencing it herself for the first time. Hopefully, here in Ellipsa it'll be less hazardous than where he's from! So far, things do look harmless and fun. Having participated in a fashion show before (and the fact that it turned into a disaster notwithstanding), she signs herself up for Party Hardy's event. Once they've received their theme, she turns to her assigned partner.]
Do you think we can try to do it "blind"?
[(OOC: Feel free to supply a theme, otherwise I will!)]
2) Sleepovers in SEAKEA
[SEAKEA is truly a marvellous store. Frieda already likes visiting it under regular conditions, so she's more than enticed by the prospect of staying overnight! When she encounters a fellow participant after dark, she's already in her long white nightgown.]
Do you also want to try the maze? After the ones in the fairy kingdom, this should be easy, right?
[Famous last words?]
3) I always Feel like Someone is Watching Me
[This quest sounds eerie alright. Who or what could be watching people in the winter woods? Luckily, the forest in question isn't far from the airship station, and while it might take a human a full day to reach it, her titan can cross the distance within a few hours (unless her questmate has alternative transport). As such, they find themselves among the trees before long.]
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I really do feel watched... do you feel eyes on you, too?
4) Snowball's Chance
[Having heard that the sentient snowballs want clothing, Frieda comes prepared: She bought a bunch of winter clothes for dolls! As such, she can be found handing them out, clad in her white winter outfit as usual. The little creatures are flocking to her, and she's talking to them quite sweetly!]
Here, let me help you with the sleeves... there you go! Oh, it suits you!
[If her questmate runs out of snowball clothing, she'll happily share! She truly splurged on this.]
5) Don't Eat Your Veggies
[So this time, it's giant mutant vegetables! If titans could digest food, this would be a perfect chance to get Frieda's Founder all the vitamins it needs, but alas, it can only help destroy them. (
Would swallowing them get them slow-cooked in the titan's hot stomach fluid, though..? But then again, who wants to eat something that's been in there?) Once Frieda and her companion spot the first enemies, she advises:]Just give me space so you don't get caught up in my transformation. They should be no match for my titan.
[Wow, isn't she confident? Granted, it really helps that these man-eating vegetables can't be reasoned with - but even so, if she were still the same person as 10 months ago, she might just convince herself that people deserve to be eaten even by monsters like these.]
6) Attack on Kingdom
[Despite the hardships of the fae trials last month, Frieda returns to the fairy kingdom to support the defence efforts. Even if the fae brought giant familiars, surely her titan is stronger! Alas, she wasn't quite prepared for the sight of the dark faemoose. In hiding, she observes one setting poisonous fire to a gate.]
Is brute force really the best way forward here..? I reckon there's only one way to find out, hm?
7) Mummystreet's Back Alright
[Capturing a mummy should be easy enough for a titan! After travelling to the Deserter's Desert (via titan express or other means of transport), Frieda recapitulates the plan.]
Is it alright if I just transform and grab them, and we tie them up? Or do you have an easier idea?
[She feels like it can't get much more straightforward than that, but you never know!]
8) Took the Wrong Turn
[Polar bears in the Summer Segment... Frieda can only wonder how they ended up here, but it really can't be good for them! But the Summer- and Winter Segments are far apart, even for a titan. They need a better plan.]
I think it'll be easiest to hold on to them and teleport everyone to the Winter Segment's airship station - that's the northernmost teleportation point, isn't it? I just hope they won't attack us. Do you have something we could feed them to appease them?
9) All Hail the Pumpkin King
[Now this is Halloween - at least going by the imagery around the city and in Frieda's mind! But the pumpkin-headed scarecrows are causing too much trouble to be left alone. Observing a group of them from a distance, she ponders her and her questmate's options.]
Should we fight them fairly, become Pumpkin King, and order them to stop? Or should I just use my titan?
[She sure has lost her inhibitions about that!]
10) I Said Leaf Me Alone
[Now this is a fun quest! Despite a horrendously slow start, Frieda has been getting a better handle on her wind magic as of late, and the leaf situation seems like a good opportunity to hone it further. She laughs as the leaves whirl around her in the gale she called forth and eventually land in a big heap.]
Now, how shall we dispose of them?
[(OOC: If you'd like to plot anything out, here is my plotting comment!]
SEAKEA
[Hina squeaks from the table, where she's demolishing a meatball the size of her head. Mecchan doesn't look quite as pumped, though, climbing onto Rinku's shoulder and warbling.]
Don't worry! It's just SEAKEA. We were okay the last time we got stuck here, right?
[Mecchan nods, but he's still shaking.]

Toshirou Hijikata | Gintama (Prismatica & Isle of Avalon CRAU) | Summer
[Experimental giant candy... really, it's always something. This is kind of stupid, but Hijikata is here to help because it's what a good policeman does! Knowing that he has an audience, he gets a little cocky about it.]
Alright!! I strategically cleared away all those three-in-a-row ones so I can go around the corner with these!
[He pushes the last large piece of candy into the L formation (observe how he's strong enough to not need any help with that!), watches with his hands on his hips as the identical candies all magically gain a wrapper, and... gets caught in the double explosion that blasts the surrounding ones away into nothingness. He yells!!]
2) Prepare for Trouble and Make it Double
[Party Hardy's costume contest brings back fond memories of the first time Hijikata actually enjoyed Halloween - back on Prismatica, where he dressed up as folklore creatures with a loved one. Of course, he's also attended several masked balls and the like across worlds since then, so he thinks he's got what it takes! Granted, he and his questmate don't get to set the theme this time - but even so.]
We can do this separately, right? Don't you want the big prize too?
[(OOC: Go ahead and supply a theme, otherwise I will!)]
3) I always Feel like Someone is Watching Me
[Normally, this quest would be too creepy for Hijikata (sure, he's ventured into the dangerous woods of Avalon in similar circumstances more than once, but this it notoriously haunted Winter Segment!), however he heard from Rinku that the monster lurking in the winter forest isn't out for harm... and that it hands out a potentially interesting reward. So here he is, wearing his uniform coat from home over the rest of the ensemble as usual... and standing just a little too close to his companion.]
Shit, I can already feel it... but I have it on good authority that the creature doesn't hurt people, so let's press on!
4) Is Bone Juice that Delicious?
[Hearing that boneless corpses are turning up again mentally sends Hijikata back to last year. So there are still warlock skeletons out there! He hated facing even just one - he doesn't want to get his bones sucked out!! - , but something needs to be done about them, and he's defeated one before, so here he is! He goes over the strategy with his questmate while they're still at the fringe of the Winter Segment.]
We've got to destroy the magical gemstone it wears, most likely on its neck. That gem will shield it from damage otherwise. I'm not above using my bazooka, but if you've got something more precise, be my guest!
5) Don't Eat Your Veggies
[Hijikata may be on cordial terms with the regularly sized vegetable monsters that inhabit the abandoned farm, but with this giant variant, all bets are off! He wears a grin on his face as he approaches the area in which they were sighted with his questmate.]
What do you say? Should we make this a good old-fashioned ground battle, or should I call Shirobeko?
[The winged bull may already have carried them out here, depending on whether Hijikata's companion has their own transport or not.]
6) Attack on Kingdom
[While he was pretty eager to fight the oversized vegetables, the threat posed by the fae and their dark familiars isn't to be taken so lightly. Thanks to the recently installed teleport stones, travelling to the remote location is now easy, but as soon as Hijikata sees the first faemoose, he takes cover rather than charge at it right away like he tends to do.]
Damn, these things look plain evil. I'm not sure if my fire, lightning and earth are going to be of much use here, but then who knows if they don't possess saveguards against physical attacks too?
[His Status Lenses may provide insight... but only if someone fought a faemoose before and also wore them.]
7) Mummystreet's Back Alright
[Now this is an enemy type Hijikata hasn't heard stories of in a while! His confidence is right back for this mission, and as he and his questmate enter the desert, he seems to take it easy, keeping himself (and them, if they keep close enough to him) cool with his temperature control ability.]
Honestly, this shouldn't be so bad. I mean, we'd have to be pretty damn clumsy to get wrapped up in bandages!
[It's like he's trying to jinx them!]
8) Pirates of the Great Lake: The Comeback
[So the pirates are back, too?! Did all the four Segments' monsters hold a meeting and decide that it's time for a comeback with the first round of beatings far enough in the past? It almost seems like it! Once more, Hijikata is pretty confident as he and his companion set sail on the Great Ocean Lake.]
There's no need to hold back! I'll sink any pirate ship I see!
[Especially the ones with ghost crews. Those are just too eerie!]
9) All Hail the Pumpkin King
[It's another almost nostalgic return! Last time, Hijikata didn't even leave any scarecrows alive to crown him pumpkin king, and this time, too, he seems eager to fight them.]
This will be fun, you'll see. They don't have any magical attacks or anything. We can just go in and make pumpkin chutney!
10) The Blue Flames
[Well, this quest takes his cockiness down a solid notch. Hijikata was the first otherworlder to die on Ellipsa because he walked right into an anglerfish will'o'wisp, so hearing that a new, giant variant has turned up makes him feel some kind of way! Nevertheless, he's compelled to face this enemy... not that he's sure of his strategy, as he confesses to his questmate en route to the area where the monsters were sighted.]
I'll be honest, I'm not really sure how to best tackle these things. My usual elements and weapons won't do anything, I'm sure of that - but maybe I can bury them with earth magic. It'll be tough, though, because they're damn fast. Do you have any better ideas?
11) Emotional Crimes
[It's really amazing what the criminal elements of Nightwake will come up with (Hijikata's only explanation is that they've got to be sadists). Naturally, he isn't inclined to let these ongoings continue, and after persistent investigations, he manages to track a culprit down. After bursting into their hide-out, all-but-shanking the relevant information about the cage's functionality out of them, and incapacitating them, it's down to the captive's ability to counter the emotion trapping them!]
Do you think you can do it? If not, I'll guide you.
[As if he were any good at that... for a start, whenever he's pissed, he sure finds it hard to feel forgiving! But he's going to do his best here. (OOC: Go ahead and choose a pair of emotions, otherwise I will!)]
12) One Rule: Don't Look
[This quest reminds Hijikata of one he undertook back on Avalon. Curiosity got the best of him and his questmate back then, and they peeked into their mystery package... only to find out that they were inadvertently smuggling a dullahan head to the mages of Celliwig. Things went south shortly afterwards, so he's not at all inclined to let the current local activities go unchecked! Whether he has a quest partner or just approached someone carrying a suspicious package around on their own, he cuts right to the chase.]
Let's open this box together.
[That wasn't a suggestion, but an order. (OOC: Feel free to choose what's inside, otherwise I will!)]
[(OOC: If you'd like to plot anything out, here is my plotting comment!]

Sonic | Sonic the Hedgehog IDW | Summer
Sonic hadn't been at the sleepover for long before he'd heard there was a maze, naturally he'd decided to go see how quickly he could solve it. If it was an easy maze, maybe five seconds? Something more intricate could take a minute or two. At least that's what he'd expected when he'd told whoever he was at the sleepover with that he'd 'be right back' and took off.
It's been three hours. Either Sonic's finally met a maze capable of thwarting him, or something is amiss. Anyone who decides to go looking for him in the maze can probably hear him in the distance calling out for an assist. But like, also trying not to sound too uncool about it. He's got an image to maintain, after all.
"Okaaaay, this was funny for like, ten minutes? But I'm hungry now, can we maybe stop moving everything around? I can appreciate a good prank, but even I have my limits!"
I Always Feel Like Someone is Watching Me
Yo dog did you wanna get grabbed and yanked behind a tree real fast by a little blue hedgehog BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING. Don't worry, it's just Sonic, but he does seem to be bothered by something. Whatever could it be?
"Shhhh! There's like, some kinda teleporting noodle guy in a suit out there and I can't shake him!"
He seems more annoyed than scared really, but either way the thought of leaving the forest hasn't occurred to him at all. That would be admitting defeat and Sonic ain't no chump!

Nine | Sonic Prime | Summer
This quest was proving to be incredibly easy, and actually kind of fun. In a real-world space. Nine seriously doubted something like this would hold his interest in a mobile space. The blockages were a nuisance, yes, but clearing them was just down to how good at puzzles a person was plus how fast they could work. Between his brains and his tails the fox could work fast.
A storage bin full of candy sat off to the side of his current workspace with a sign that simply said "Help Yourself" as he worked away. He didn't really see the appeal of the stuff, so anyone else could have it. Those explosive candy blocks though...
"If you're here for candy, I suggest you wait until I finish this chain."
Don't Eat Your Veggies
There were a lot of nuisance monsters cluttering up the quest boards. Some were legitimately dangerous, some were genuinely a waste of time...because he was not wasting his time on charity for jealous snowballs (if they wanted something they could learn to make it themselves instead of attacking people), and some were genuinely dangerous. This one was just a good test of his current magical limits and precision.
Angry veggies were probably only a danger to the most helpless among the residents, especially since they lost their nerve once they saw a few of their friends go down to a burst of fire and the sharp tips of his tails. Under most circumstances, Nine would have found their retreat reasonable and natural, and called it a day. But...there was a time when he was among the most vulnerable, would have been at risk from a horde of hungry teeth. It made him angry, the thought of these things finding someone's kid or helpless pet and devouring it because they had the advantage. So he did what needed to be done, took off after the retreating roughage to finish the job.
Attack on Kingdom
This was an actual problem and serious threat. Nine wasn't invested in the people of this world for the most part, but this wasn't an issue of just people. This was the darkness and corruption making a move that could set back their progress. And he was determined to do whatever was needed to not see that happen.
First up was observation of the situation, the need to observe the enemy and their tools. But also to see if anyone needed his help. This wasn't a solo mission, and anyone who came to help needed to be ready to cooperate.
Flying overhead, Nine focused on the two biggest threats he could see, the smoke from the poison fires, and the faemoose. Of the two, the moose were easily the bigger threat. The smoke was a deadly hazard that he could possibly help with. Possibly weaponize for later. The moose...it looked like direct engagement was the biggest hazard, because not only did it increase the chance of being maimed, but physical contact implied making it easier for the shadow tendrils to connect. It was safer to assume said tendrils could occur anywhere that close.
Pulling a ball from his belt, he released his bird robot and pointed to the smoke. "Grim Birdie, collect any of the poison that occurs on the battlefield. Otherwise stay in observation mode until I say otherwise." Once the robot flew off to begin her task, he pulled out his grapplegun and took aim. He just needed a target distracted enough for a clear shot at tangling up the front legs.
candy
[Yes, Rinku brought her Sobble, her chameleon, and her Zubat to the mall. The former two are perched on her shoulders, while Hina flies over to the bin of candy and bites a gummy grape to drain its gooey insides. Rinku giggles.]
How do you even do this? It's a big puzzle, right?

Esme Faulkner | Changeling the Lost | Autumn
Grooming big adorable animals for money wasn't what Esme expected from the quest board, but he knew animal care for a number of reasons so he decided he could help here throughout the season. Maybe keep the fur he collected for later use.
Smiling cheerfully at his current customer, he diligently scratch all around the haunches before following up with firm, gentle strokes from a soft brush.
"Don't worry, you'll feel better very soon. I won't let you go home uncomfortable." Even if his arms were getting a little tired.
Rabbits Need Scritches - 2
No one had told him that young bunnies were so playful and demanding. Esme yelped in surprise as the deer-sized bundle of fluff bowled him over and then bounded away to stare at him expectantly.
He couldn't help laughing a little, rolling onto his knees and hugging the youngster around the neck as she came in for another go, scratching her lower belly.
"I can't play if I'm always flat on my back, you know."
Took the Wrong Turn
Lost polar bears? How they were different to regular bears, Esme wasn't sure, but he could relate to being lost far from home, so he ventured out to summer to help and...oh. White bears? They were pretty.
Cautiously, he approached a pair, hands up and open. "It's alright, I'm a friend," he said soothingly. Hopefully he could do this quietly and without any tricks. Mostly for the sake of the bears, but also because being tricky usually meant other people got affected too.
Took the Wrong Turn
A woman is amongst the bears is a woman, who is kneeling by those ones who were suffering the most and had laid down. She looks at Esme and while her expression is fairly stoic, she offers a nod.

Costumes?
[Russell is quietly examining the stacks of fantastical outfits.]
… … I’ve never really celebrated Halloween before. Have you?
[He seems to be reserving judgement on whether dressing up is a good idea until he hears others opinions on the matter.]
[II. WATCHING ME]
[Whether you’d paired up for the mission or perhaps you just ran into him and decided to go together, one thing was certain: Russell was not a very talkative teammate. He doesn’t say much of anything and barely changes expression as he walks quietly and carefully with a baseball bat at his side.]
… around here, maybe?
[There’s a rustling sound and a crack of a twig underfoot. You’re not alone. The strange slender creature steps forward and Russell… takes a step back. His whole body tenses and he grips the bat a little tighter. He looks scared.]
No…
[III. RABBITS]
[Russell runs his hand through one of the larger rabbit’s fur with a delicate caution. If you’ve met him before, he looks more… relaxed? Almost content, even. There’s the tiny hint of a smile on his normally solemn face.]
…They’re… bigger than I expected.
[He says softly, mostly to himself but definitely in earshot of whoever happens to be nearby.]
[IV. WILDCARD]
[Come at me with anything else you’d like - Russell can be easily roped into any of the other quests with a little convincing. Feel free to hit me up via PM, his plotting post, or on plurk at

That criminal quest, huehue
Kokoro Belmont | Otomedius | Winter
[Kokoro puzzles over the giant gumdrops making a mess of the floor. She fails to lift one up and ponders it.]
They say these have been a nuisance here for the past two months, but... how does one remove them, exactly?
[2) Is Bone Juice That Delicious?]
[Okay, it's a little weird and probably concerning that a brand new otherworlder, much less a very short teenager, immediately signed up for the evil bone-stealing skeleton quest! But when you get there, you'll find Kokoro somehow not yet deboned, but fending off the mook skeletons, grabbing one by the skull with a whip and chucking it into the Warlock Skeleton's barrier harmlessly.]
Ugh... it must have a weak point to undo its shield!
[3) I Said Leaf Me Alone]
I... am not entirely certain how we are to be rid of all these leaves, but I assumed picking them up and bagging them... Was I to bring a rake?
[Kokoro sighs. Why this?]

That's what you have me for! I'll use my wind magic to gather them all in a heap. From there, though, we'll have to figure the rest out... it's a pity we don't have a summer power holder with us; they could burn or rot them!
