[ it feels so good, but a part of him wonders if any contact could provide him with these feelings... but that has him circling back to alhaitham and no! nope! not a chance! ]
[ but kaveh finds that it's hard to deny the possibility as alhaitham cages him in, erasing almost all of the space in between them. ] Ah-! [ he swears he can feel his heart beating in his ears, his cheeks heating up and coloring a deep, dark red. ] But I, a- and you, ... [ he should quit while he's ahead. ]
[ kaveh shuts his eyes and bites his lip, trying not to make a sound when alhaitham kisses him, but he's unsuccessful, and ends up mewling in frustration. he's doing this on purpose! he's being a tease to drive him insane! but he loves it as much as he hates it, so he finds himself grabbing at alhaitham's front to try to keep him from moving away. ]
Alright... [ and then he tugs him into a proper kiss, one fueled by tension and feelings and about half a dozen other things. ] All of you. I don't need to be sober to admit that. [ it's just easier to do so when he's high on touch fumes. ]

[ Finding himself lip-to-lip with his roommate feels very much the opposite of that. ]
[ He's well aware that there is... something. Between himself and Kaveh. That neither of them address because it's paired with all sorts of complications built up over time, leading to this weird roommate-fighting-friend thing. And while addressing it is an inevitability, this isn't the way he wants to. He wants a clear, logical talk between them that will iron out all the wrinkles between them. ]
[ Romantic, he knows. ]
[ It's... nice, knowing that some part of Kaveh's subconcious had an interest in him, and it's very nice kissing him with this damn sensation enhancement that's affecting them both, so he hooks his arm around Kaveh's waist... ]
[ And promptly moves to throw the man up over one shoulder, intent on carrying him like a sack of potatoes in spite of the pleasant jolts that spikes through his arm and shoulder at the touch. ]
I'm putting you to bed. Or a cold shower. Your choice.
[ Truly, a romantic at work. ]

-umf. H- Hey! Alhaitham!! [ kaveh beats on alhaitham's back for all the good it does. ] Put me down! Now!!
[ hang on a minute - HOLD UP. to bed, he says, ... ] Alright, fine~, put me to bed... but only if you're coming with me. [ COLD SHOWER IT IS. ]

[ Sorry Kaveh for your earnest attempt and also terrible taste because Alhaitham Will No Longer Be Swayed in his task of getting Kaveh back in his right state of mind. He swaps directions from heading to Kaveh's bedroom and instead for the shower, keeping a firm arm across Kaveh's legs to keep him in place in case he starts adding kicks into his protests. ]
[ At least he doesn't just dump Kaveh on his ass into the shower, but he does set him down pretty abruptly, taking a slow breath of relief as the physical contact is broken and he can start feeling his head clearing immediately. He does still feel good, the aftereffects of that 'boost' lingering in his system, but the headache from dealing with the equivalent of a drunk Kaveh is
a whole other kind of tiring. ]
Come out after you've cooled your head.

How are you feeling?

[ Snapping the book shut and tuck it away, he looks over Kaveh clinically. ]
Better. There was merit to your earlier information about energy levels.
How's your head now?
no subject
[ he reaches to relieve alhaitham of the book, checking out the title. ] Better... [ kaveh echoes the sentiment. ] Are you going to take a shower now?
no subject
It is. We'll have to experiment with what would be the optimal method for keeping our bodies taken care of.
[ When the book is out of his hands, Kaveh will find a towel unceremoniously dropped over his head, followed by Alhaitham's hands ruffling the towel against his hair. ]
Later. I wanted to verify your condition first.

[ he bites the inside of his cheek, giving alhaitham a tight lipped smile, because he’s killing him. what did he do to deserve this? ]
[ kaveh does get a little reprieve in the form of a towel being thrown over his head, something he’s thankful for, but only because it hides the color rising to his cheeks again. ] I’m fine, Alhaitham. [ he tries to knock his hands away, taking a moment right after to fix his hair. ]
Verify my condition? [ he arches a brow. ] And just how do you intend to do that, doctor?

I picked this up for your room. To remind you of Sumeru.
no subject
Why on Teyvat would you think I would want that in my room? Or in this apartment? And who made that, they have dismal artistry and, sure, follow your dreams and all that, but now when this is the result...

[ Externally, he continues to hold a completely forced thoughtful expression, one Kaveh will undoubtedly recognize as Alhaitham being an ass. ]
It reminded me of the expressions you would make at the Akademiya.

I don’t look like that hideous sculpture, he’s crazy, …
no subject
I thought the resemblance was uncanny.
[ His words are murmured, not particularly meant for Kaveh to overheard. He leaves him alone for the moment in fact, stepping into the bathroom to hang the towel to dry and replacing the statue in his room for future torment use. Unless Kaveh manages to find it and dispose of it before then. ]

[ Now he can head back into the living room to check on Kaveh once more, making an idle note in his head to contact Tighnari within the next day. No doubt the other man has already investigated into this phenomenom, so Alhaitham was interested in comparing his results against what he and Kaveh had apparently experienced. ]
[ Walking behind the couch Kaveh has fully claimed, he leans over the side of it to peer down with mild interest at whatever he'd taken to. Seems like he bounced back fast. ]
Bringing work home already?
no subject
[ as soon as alhaitham leaves to go be boring at the library or something kaveh is going to take that ugly eyesore and throw it off the nearest cliff side. ]
[ kaveh feels alhaitham's presence, so he stops what he's doing and turns his head to stare at him, because, really, he thought he was trying to avoid getting too close... and yet here he is!!! ]
I'm working on something with the Traveler. She told me about comics, or books with pictures, so I hardly think you'll be interested. [ but alhaitham can see that he's scribbled the idea lumine presented to him in the margin. ] She came up with an idea for one, so I thought I would start sketching it.

[ Curiosity satisfied for now, he steps back, moving over to the bookshelf in the room to replace the Autumn book he'd been reading earlier and taking a new one off it. ]
Having a creative outlet would be good for you.

So there would be no text whatsoever? That's impressive.
And you seem to be so fond of telling stories about me when I'm not around, it seemed like you could use an outlet for that specifically. Though I ask you refrain from using my likeness in this regard without consent.
no subject
I-! [ can't argue with that, but not in this specific instance. ] Do you think I'm gossiping to the Traveler about you? Oh please. I don't spend every waking moment talking or thinking about you, Alhaitham. [ he sits up. ] Do you think I would really put you in my little book? Your ego is bigger than I thought.
no subject
I was rather sure I was one such representation of annoyance in your life.
no subject
I don't need to draw a book to tell you you're annoying. I'll just tell you to your face.
no subject
I see. Then I look forward to one day reading about the Traveler's mysterious but frustrating roommate. Perhaps we'll have something in common.
[ Books collected, he heads for the kitchen once more to brew himself some tea. ]
