Sometime after a less than stellar conference call, Reiner sends an invitation to everyone from his world. "You're Invited to a Holiday Party," the store-bought invitation reads in swirling seasonally decorated letters. How very fancy!

The invitation specifies three things. Number one: it is a celebration of the holidays. Number two: it is a celebration of a year of a successful non-aggression pact. Number three: everyone is invited to bring a "plus one."

Surely, nothing will go wrong with this plan. Surely!

The party itself takes place at an inn in Stormreach, part of which has been reserved by Reiner. The inn is made of stone and wood, its aesthetic closely resembling buildings in Paradis. There are several spacious rooms available: places for eating, places for mingling, cozy corners for more private conversations, and access to the inn's bar.

• In one of those cozy spaces, one might find a lit candle known as a Candle of True Feelings. In its presence, people understand their feelings better and feel inspired to talk about them. How very curious!
  
  
• Of note: magic supersedes technology in Stormreach. One is far more likely to run across potions and crystals than gaming systems… But that hasn't stopped Reiner from setting up a gaming system in a corner, anyway.
  
  
• If one steps outside for a breath of (cold) fresh air, they'll find themselves close to the clock tower. Local legend claims that those who kiss on top of it are destined to never breakup. However, that legend has not been tested … yet.
  
  
• During the party, a table is filled with various gifts for the "+1s," created by those from Paradis and Marley. The gifts include knitted clothing (scarves, mittens, socks), chocolates, sweet baked goods, and fidget toys made of wood or stone. Feel free to partake, +1s!

Naturally, there is a wide assortment of food—some of which is best described as "ungodly spicy"—with a particular focus on potato-based foods. Also, peaches and pineapples, for Reasons™.

Evangeline's honored to have been invited - multiple times! - and shows up in her holiday best. In this case meaning she's wearing a normal dress instead of her EGO suit. Some of her best friends are at this party - if she can't feel safe enough to wear regular clothes here, where can she?

She has a small stacks of presents to hand out, and can be found mostly near the food, trying some of the ultra-spicy stuff and then immediately going for the bread and butter. Verdict: oof.

[Rinku, in her own formal dress, sparkles and bounces on her heels a little. (Said heels are just high enough that they're the same height, but they're close enough in size anyway that Evangeline can borrow from Rinku's gacha-tier wardrobe whenever she wants, so it's not much of a change.]

Isn't this fun? Reiner-san put a lot of work in!

[Rinku heard the dress code and showed up in something that sparkles as much as she does. She wanders the area with a look of wonder and is happily going to try and check out everything.

The food table garners curiosity, and Rinku goes to look over and try... well, pretty much everything.]

Wow, how did he get this much spice? It's so hard to find here! It reminds me of some of the places I've lived!

[And of course she's going to try out the gaming system and look at all the games there.]

Ooh, are these all multiplayer? Is there racing?

[She'll also just be wandering around and happy to talk with anyone about anything, and the Candle of True Feelings draws some curiosity, but Rinku's always honest about her feelings anyway... right?]

That's okay! I've lived in places that loved super spicy food. Does someone here really like it?

Sisu was a little susprised to have gotten an invite, but she's happily here regardless! If anyone asks she will proudly say Levi asked her. Because he's her new fruit buddy. As a gift to celebrate she's brought with her an assortment of fresh fruit and smoothies.

Some of the smoothies have more of a holiday vibe, with apple-cinnamon combinations and other very fitting holiday ingredients. There's also a strange amount of peach-related smoothies - in different combinations. All of the smoothies have the name 'Kumandra Sunshine' on their cups and Sisu will happily explain it's a smoothie bar that she and her girl Raya are working on.

"Happy Yuletide! I'm Sisu. I don't know very many people here, but I'm eager to learn about them!"

Mostly she's hanging around the main area, possibly asking how the smoothies taste like occasionally. Or trying very spicy food with results of looking like she's about to cry.

At least Jean was well enough to attend the party. Honestly, he felt fine, but most likely he would be glared at very badly if he tried to do anything too early. That and the scare he got as a werewolf was still lingering.

Jean is showing his preference for vests, but still being very festive. It's also very warm and cozy.

He is definitely checking out the games, opting to either challenge people to a fighting or a racing game. While he's not the most talented at them, he does put up a good fight.

As for food he will opt out of the spicy, since he knows he can't handle the heat. Instead he's eating whatever else. Maybe even a steamed potato for nostalgia reasons.

It's a known fact that Jean is usually very honest about his feelings, but curiosity brings him to the room with the candle of true feelings. Even a honest man like him does have some feelings that he hides.

Otherwise, he's likely just finding himself a cozy corner to sit in and just breathe in the atmoshphere.

"Jean!" An excited Evangeline presents him with a wrapped box. "Happy holidays!"

In it he'll find a shirt Evangeline thought was appropriate for everyone's favorite blacksmith.

I know Sasha-chan really loves food, so maybe she did! I'll have to ask.

Oh! Most of them were made by Raya, but I helped! But yeah they were made for this party. Though most of them will also be on our menu.

Wow, cool! You're adding them to the menu? Oh, I guess lots of places back on Earth have seasonal menu items too, huh? It's always pretty exciting. Plus these gotta help with how spicy some of the food is.

... as long as you find the right smoothie. The ones with bananas work, but I tried one with mostly citrus fruit and my mouth was even worse.

Eh? But mango milkshakes really help with it... Then again, mango isn't citrus, huh. I've lived in places where we ate a lot of spicy food, but I don't know much about plants.

Reiner dresses festively for the occasion: nice slacks, a dark green button-up, and a red-and-green sweater positively covered in dancing cartoon dogs named Snoopy wearing Santa hats. (This is festive! He researched it!) He makes a point to greet everyone, introducing himself where appropriate—always as "Reiner Braun," first name and last.

He offers his friends warm, genuine smiles, telling them, "I'm glad you could make it."

Reiner can be spotted all over the place throughout the party, positively radiating 'friendly extrovert' energy. Catch him adding handmade fidget toys to the "+1" gift table, munching on ungodly spicy food, snagging a festive drink from the inn's bar, or challenging someone (you?) to a racing game.

Astute observers may notice two additional things. One: he unconsciously keeps half an eye on Bertholdt and Falco throughout the night, protective despite the celebratory occasion. (Anyone who visibly upsets them may find Reiner suddenly swooping in.) Two: when it comes to Eren and Bertholdt, Reiner has zero concept of personal space. Absolutely zero.

Occasionally, Reiner steps away from the crowd to take a breather. He might find a cozy corner and give the lit candle an odd look; he has no idea what it's doing there.

Or he might step outside the inn, folding his arms against the cold as he breathes in snow-touched air, breath pluming white as he idly observes the clock tower.

This feels... a bit awkward. It shouldn't be. He was invited here. But, honestly, Gojyo is the social sort. Hakkai generally prefers to remain at home. Or in his own room at an inn. Of course he brought food - a wide assortment of it - because you don't just show up without a gift to a party like this.

He'll be setting it on the food table, so feel free to accost him there.

Alternatively, one of those candlelit corners, playing solitaire. With an entire bottle of alcohol, some kind of hard stuff, at his elbow. He wasn't kidding about being a homebody.

... or maybe you can catch him observing the gaming. Hakkai has never played a video game in his life. Maybe there's one kind of game someone can beat him at.

[Rinku picks Hina (who's wearing a glittery orange ribbon to match Rinku's dress) up from the table before she can bite the fidget toys. She looks at Reiner and smiles, petting her disappointed Zubat.]

Ehe... Hi, Reiner-san! You worked really hard on this for everyone!

Evangeline holds out a wrapped present: inside is an 'I'd flex but I like this shirt' shirt. She figured it would make him smile.

I mean, yeah, mango heals everything! But it could have also been just so spicy nothing helped? I'm not actually so sure myself. I should probably test it with something less spicy.

I never knew Reiner-san liked spicy food so much! Maybe I should have gotten him that hot sauce set I saw in the department store, in that "gifts for men" display.
