I. Invites

[By some miracle, Yumeno Yuuto (yes, this one,) had figured out how to use technology. He manages to create a private chat for Nen, Shigeru, Inaba, and even himself- All at once! If you've known Yuuto for more than two weeks, then you know it's a miracle that he didn't screw this up.]

Shigeru! Inaba! Nen! This is Yuuto speaking.

Would you like to go out somewhere together? I want you to all meet each other, if that's alright? I was thinking an art museum might be fun? What do you think??

II. Museum Date

[When it comes time for the actual date, Yuuto is anything but normal. He might be wearing somehow normal clothes, but he's acting almost more excitable than usual. By the time the other three arrive, he's already bought all of their museum tickets. He's also found an outdoor water feature and is completely mesmerized by the way that the water falls from the sculpture.

The sculpture itself is cool too.

But the physics..!

His eyes are glowing pink as he watches the water with his power and his tail is wagging far too happily.]

Romantically, yes. I do know that 'partner' can also be used in other ways; like a business partner, but in my particular case with Yuuto, it's just that we're romantically involved with each other, more or less.

That is wonderful! Congratulations for both of you, Yuuto is an excellent husband so I am certain he will perform adequately as a partner as well. Please protect his heart.

[ Sorry, she's caught off guard and baffled by the term. Mostly because she wasn't told about this.

Just give her a moment, she'll get back to the second half of this in a bit. ]

[ Sorry Inaba, please forgive Nen for their many, many, many misinterpretations of things most people would understand. Yuuto's been husband material as far as Nen's concerned for months....which does not make them married by any stretch, but.]

Are you a wife?

N- No!

[ That comes off a little more flustered than she would like, raising her hands defensively as her face seems to burn a bright scarlet, like a tomato. ]

I'm way too young to get married...!

[ Oho…a blush. That’s one of Nen’s favourite physiological responses. Inaba has just become fascinating—they’re going to look at her keenly now. ]

It is alright, you do not need a ceremony to be a wife. I have not married mine.

No, no, no-- [ There's definitely something frantic in her words. ] The definition of a 'wife' is to be married. At least in the worlds that I've been in.

[ Worlds, plural.

Anyway, guess it's time to throw someone under the proverbial bus and escape this conversation: ]

Maaaaybe it's time to get Yuuto's opinion!

[ That plural is definitely something they take note of, but lucky for her Nen is distracted by the mention of Yuuto—who better to weigh in on Inaba’s wifeliness?? ]

That is a good idea. Yuuto! Is Inaba a good wife?

[What has been going on here??? Yuuto returns with every map and brochure he could find. And a stunned expression.]

[He’s gotten used to Nen calling people husband, but not wife!

He spreads the papers like playing cards.]

… I have maps? [Is that an answer?]

[ Inaba is going to place her hand on Yuuto's shoulder. ]

Please tell me you come from a normal world where you need marriage to be considered a 'husband' or 'wife'.

Huh..? Ooooh. [HE GETS IT! This is honestly an achievement for him.

Yuuto smiles and nods.]

Yes, that’s how it works in my home. But this isn’t my home world. The rules can be different, right?

[He looks to Nen, still smiling.] Inaba is my partner, Nen! That’s the word we picked.

Yes, Inaba told me. I was letting her know that she could be a wife too, she has qualities which remind me of Oryou.

[ You know, the dragon lady with the kisses and the long tongue. ]

[ Oh, she hates this already, and it shows in her obviously uncomfortable expression. ]

Well, yes- but I'd like to think that the rules should be similar otherwise words will have zero meaning anymore...!

[ Is she going to have to do a network post on this. She's going to have to do a network post on this, isn't she. ]

And I'm not married, so therefore, there is no wife business going on here!

[Yuuto slowly reaches for Inaba’s hand, hoping to communicate some of his calm. He completely understands why she’s uncomfortable: When Nen first called him a husband, Yuuto almost teleported to space.]

I think that words gain more meaning as we experience the world more. For Nen, the greatest love they can imagine is “husband” and “wife.”

[He looks between the two, then points to the museum.]

Why don’t we go inside? Art is all about seeing how other people view the world, right? Let’s go learn more about the world together~!

[ He's come such a long way since then...now he doesn't bat an eye when Nen brings up the non-marriage of husband and wife! Nen would be proud if they could equate the two. Instead, they see him hold out his hand for Inaba and feel a small glow of warmth in their chest.

Yes, I want to see flower art and take pictures of you.

[ Inaba lets out a heavy sigh, but takes his hand for now.

Honestly, she doesn't want to argue on this point because this isn't the time or place for it, and Inaba at least... understands the sentiment and feeling. Even if she doesn't entirely agree.

But she'll welcome a change of subject. ]

Mmm. It all depends on what the museum has to offer. Art is more than just one's worldview at times, after all.

Like physics.

[ That's not...quite it, but. Speaking of physics-!! Nen turns to wave Shigeru over from where he's been holding back a little. They know crowds aren't great for him and the art museum seems like it'll be full of them, but: they will take a deep breath and holds it as they close their eyes and shove their hand out in the air like a Totally Normal Person. ]

Shigeru, I am ready! Ho....hold...my h-hand, too.

[ Shigeru sure has been...far away because even if he is a god and all that stuff germs bad. Germs are very bad!!! He still has his phobia of them even if he can get rid of them easily now. Crowds are also a thing he still does not like!!! But he is going to grin and bear it for everyone here because this is a special day for Yuuto and he will not mess it up!!! He gives Nen a happy smile before taking their hand.

Nen data cute. Shigeru will give Inaba and Yuuto a small wave as he smiles to them both. ] It-It's nice to meet you, Inaba.

[Nen is being too cute..! Yuuto’s tail is already wagging and they aren’t even in the museum yet. Though his expression and tone are shy when responding to the comment about taking his picture:]

There will be so many cooler things there than me, right? I wonder what kind of exhibits they have… Oh. Wait!

[He tries to offer everyone one of the maps and brochures that he’d gotten.]

This paper knows!

[ Once they're inside, that's enough for her to at least let go of Yuuto's hand and elbow him when he asks his first stupid statement. Say dumb things about yourself, get deserved punishments.

All the while she's wearing a rather cordial smile, although her voice is a bit sharp at first. ]

Say that about yourself again and you'll regret it, Yuuto.

[ Tell Yuuto that he's just as cool as the art museum pieces!! Give this poor guy some self esteem. She does refocus herself towards Shigeru, however, as she bows from the waist politely. ]

It's nice to meet you as well. [ Time to take the brochure and scan it... ] I wonder how old the pieces they have here are.

[ Mostly because she's mildly curious to see if any of the art could be related to this world's history. ]
