Levi does follow, and he doesn't immediately notice the shorter steps either so he's pleasantly not-annoyed, thanks to the fact he doesn't have to trot next to the man to keep up. At the question he purses his lips slightly, looking around before decidedly pointing toward a tree by the edge of the beach.
"There."
They probably won't see it until getting closer, but the tree does happen to be a fairly good place for this - it looks old, and perhaps not quite magical, but there sure are a few lanterns decorating it hanging from the branches.

"Thanks. Hopefully another kid will find it and it'll make them happy."

He should probably get going - pack up some supplies and embark on this fairy job they've been given. He does linger for a few moments, unsure if he's supposed to say anything, or ask if this is all, or something.
"...you're not so bad," he finally mutters and starts walking away.

"Bye, Levi. See you later." He offers a little wave as Levi walks away.
fin!
It's only later that Levi realizes he had never actually told the man his name, and yet he knew it anyway. Yet another mystery to the neverending strangeness of the day.
