It was hard to avoid missing the girl who was "sneaking" around with her giant net. So the fact that it took Reiner so long to notice her was actually somewhat embarrassing. He was too distracted by the fireflies, the blinking points of light catching his attention no matter which way he turned. How could there be so many of them…?

When the girl said his name—sounding shocked, for some reason—she caught his full attention. Reiner focused on her, the name Gabi coming to mind. She was his cousin. (His older cousin, a lie supplied by Ellipsa's magic smoothing out any oddities.)

He smiled at her, eyes bright with childish admiration. Why wouldn't he admire her? She was so cool!

"Hi, Gabi. Are you catching them?"
