Just Shingeki cast seeing appreciating fireflies and catching them in jars while bonding on various levels.

[Petting the wolf ears counts for that, alright? Not that he hated it. As embarrassing as that was.]

Hmm... I guess there's no harm in that.

[Mercifully, Armin still has memory of The Ears.]

I could jump. [Paired with a cheeky little grin - but on Armin, there's really no threat to it.

[As for the fireflies, his eyes finding them again - all around, all around.]

I don't know, Jean...Somehow it just seems like the right thing to do.

[That's actually a sight he wanted to see. Armin trying to jump just to ruffle Jean's hair. It would be amusing.

Jean watches the fireflies silently for a while before nodding.]

Sure. We can come release them later. After the mission is over.

[Armin nods, affirmative.]

Alright. In that case, then...I should probably actually catch a few of them, huh?

Probably... take your time and some will come to you instead of you chasing them. Some are really curious about the jar.

[He points at the fireflies gathering around his jar, curious. Some visit it and go back out again. Some remain in the jar.]

[Armin definitely likes the idea of inviting the fireflies rather than chasing them. He doesn't want to scare them - if that's even possible. So, he opens the lid of his jar and waits. Sure enough, a few fly in after only a few moments. It's a comfort, somehow, that he doesn't have to force them.]

Would you look at that...

[He speaks a bit breathless. With their soft light reflecting off the glass jar, they're beautiful in an entirely new way.]

You know, Jean...I think this might be the best night of my life. Ha...

[Probably one of the best, even for the normal aged Armin, all things considered.]

You always dreamed of seeing the ocean, right? This is pretty close to one. The one in Summer Segment might be even closer.

[But this was the safe option, unlike the Summer one.]

[Armin's smile warms, purely genuine.]

I have. That's right.

It's strange...even though I'm not quite as I was when I first arrived here, I still remember being here the last few months. I remember the ocean. I come out here all the time, just to sit and think...

It's really the most amazing thing I could imagine even now. I'm quite enamored with it, really...

[So it was like that. Jean wonders what else he might remember, but doesn't ask. It's not that important.]

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure whatever's going on will be resolved soon enough. Then things will go back to "normal".

I remember a few of our trials, but...to go back in time like this - it's bizarre, isn't it? Maybe I shouldn't be so surprised, but...

Usually once a month something happens. It was the same in other worlds. Guess these places like to keep us on our toes.

[Jean shrugs.]

But this isn't the first time I've seen just some people deaging.

Do you have any idea how to reverse it?

It really depends on so many things. Like if something triggered it. Do you remember anything weird happening?

Not really, no. I...can't remember changing at all, actually. It just sort of feels like I've always been this way.

[Jean looks at him, trying to see if anything is wrong.]
