[ After Gabi scares the shit out of Levi during a quest, and he turns to Hange as he already knows they're part of the potion brewing crew, it doesn't take too long to find out that Gabi's not the only one suffering from the disease... ]

[ As the completion of the cure draws closer, they figure to start gathering the afflicted Scouts and those willing to ease their suffering in Hange's apartment, however as it turns out, running an alchemy lab from an apartment leaves very little leg (or butt) room, so in the end, everybody who showed up (and their +1s...) get shuffled into the much more unencumbered apartment next door belonging to Eren and Levi. ]

[ The ground rules will, of course, be laid out before entering as to avoid another sand incident: outside clothes and shoes must be left in the wardrobe by the door, absolutely no exceptions, unless somebody wants to be folded twice and thrown into the hallway. Any snot covered handkerchiefs must go into the special basket marked "biohazard", and there's several hand sanitizer spray bottles around just in case. ]

[ Assuming everyone is capable of following basic hygiene procedures, eventually they will all get served tea (yes, even Reiner, though he's probably getting an extra long stare in the face as the cup is being set down) at least once, possibly more, depending how long it takes. (Those shivering will also receive a throw blanket or two with the implicit instruction to not get disgusting body fluids on it.) ]

[ The apartment is clean and has little furnishing, but there's a nice big couch with some armchairs and a soft carpet in the living room, and of course a wide screen TV picture box. If anybody wishes to tune in to the latest Annika episode, they're free to do so. There's... maybe some leftover food in the kitchen, most notably stew in the fridge that seems to contain little pizza squares?.. but the pantry and most of the other cabinets are instead filled with tea, if anybody goes looking around. ]

[ There is also a (secretly cursed) Roomba that seems especially keen on hanging out on the walls today, and a terrifying cute Yamask shyly hanging about. A void cat might also join the party at some point and yowl until it receives a share of the pizza stew. ]

[It's likely nothing, but Hange isn't one to dismiss concerns outright. So they offer some assurance:]

I'll check in on him, alright? After all, I know him better than anyone. I can read Levi's moods rather well.

[So if he's just stressed at everything going on in his living room or if he's sick, Hange will hopefully get to the end of it.]

[The burner is turned off, now it is time to simply let the suspension cool for a minute or two before they divide it up into proper doses. Sounds like a perfect time to finish that tea!]

He makes really good tea, I've noticed. Nothing like the stuff we have at home.

Well the tea-leaves found here are definitely better quality than the ones we had access to at home, even compared to that nice stuff the MPs had been hoarding. But yeah, our Levi knows his stuff when it comes to tea! It's a hobby of his, in a way?

[Which leads into a random side thought:]

If you ever need to suck up to him for some reason, try getting one of the brands he favours.

[Teabags ARE convenient, but Levi making the tea himself is even more convenient than that, and better tasting!]

[Or, Hange could simply tell Jean what tea Levi tends to drink, but honestly it's kind of funnier to picture him trying to snoop around in the kitchen over there...]

Great! I have everything written down here, but let's go through it. Then you can give me a hand while I go check on Levi and Eren in their apartment.

[Hange slides the notebook closer to Jean so that he can read it- it contains a list of ingredients for the potions including how to measure the right amounts depending on how many potions you wish to make, and then a step by step guide on the brewing process.]

We're on step 5 for now- it's been twelve minutes already so we need to let it simmer for 8 more..

[And while that happens, Hange talks through the remaining steps that will being this batch to completion.]

[Jean pays close attention to the notebook and what Hange is telling him, nodding every now and then. It's fairly easy to understand - luckily this particular potion isn't the hardest one of them to do.

He also makes sure to look at the various tools and the ingredients - one of which he helped to find, too, and making small mental notes about them.]

I get it. I should be able to help with the next batch for sure.

Great! Levi helped me to wash and chop everything up earlier, so we won't have to worry about that. We only have to weigh the portions we want.

[And for a few more minutes they pair work on watching over the simmering pot, and then adding a few more bits of mushroom paste before bringing it to the boil once more. Five minutes later, they are ready to turn off the heat.]

There! We can bottle it up now. See, that wasn't hard, right?

[Hange grabs a few potion bottles and lines them up, instructing Jean to begin filling them.]

They will take twenty minutes to cool to an appropriate temperature, so we can take them over to Levi and Eren's once we're done and see how everyone's getting along.

Hopefully no one's had a nervous breakdown...

[Jean is definitely focusing on the filling, so he doesn't spill anything. It's very precise job, but he doesn't mind it. Then it's just waiting for the 20 minutes.]

Gabi should probably get one first. She's in a real bad shape.

Yeah.. she's definitely the worst off..

[Poor girl, she really did look like crap when Hange peeked in earlier.]

[As jean fills up the glass bottles, Hange sticks a cork in them before transporting them to a little tray, the type used to perhaps hold your dinner while you sit on the cough except in this instance it is going to be used to transport potions down the hallway.]

..We may as well take them over there while we wait on them to cool. It will give us a chance to check up on everyone else too. Hopefully no arguments have broken out..

[The last bottle is sealed, and there we go! One batch done! The kitchen may be a mess, but that's fine because Hange will be back to brew more soon anyway.]

Alright, let's go. Oh- will you bring that mug too, before I forget to return it.

[Levi's tea mug that is most definitively now claimed as Hange's mug.]

[Jean sets a timer of twenty minutes on his phone and shows it to Hange.]

This will notify us when the required time is up. I made sure to start it the moment the last bottle was closed. That way they've all been as long.
