BEACH PARTY

The sun is shining, a cool, crisp ocean breeze flutters across the shores of Solarpeak Beach. There's not a single cloud in the sky, the perfect day to have a party! Whether you heard about it through Yoimiya's network post, word of mouth or just happen to stumble onto the festivities, everyone is invited to Ellipsa's scorching hot Beach Bonfire Party! Grab your swimsuits, sun dresses, or whatever you feel the most comfortable in, and join in on the fun.

Gonna Soak Up the Sun

Through the combined efforts of Sisu, Yoimiya, and the many kind volunteers who lent their assistance in setting up the venue, the beach party is here and open to the public! Upon arrival, everyone will be given a choice of colorful, handmade hibiscus leis or bracelets to adorn for the party. They aren't mandatory in the slightest, just a cute little thank-you gift to those who are attending. After receiving a warm welcome from the hosts, you're free to set off and have fun! Meet up with friends or introduce yourself to new people from distant worlds, the party is your oyster. Of course, there will be plenty of other activities to partake in as well. Venture forth to the fun!

Feeling brave and daring? Sitting on top of the ocean is an inflatable balance beam built especially for water jousting. Foam joust poles and life jackets (if you wish to wear one!) will be given to would-be challengers looking to scratch the itch for a fight. The goal is to assert your dominance by knocking adversaries into the water and be the last person standing. Show off your strength and become the champion of the beach!

Perhaps you might be in the mood for a bit of fun in the sand. A large area of the beach is sectioned off for the grand Sandcastle Competition. Solarpeak residents from all across the city are bustling with excitement, flocking in to watch the artists do their magic, so go wild with your creations and give them a good show! Buildings, any kind of sculpture, or even just a basic castle are all accepted, let your imagination run free. You can even drag a buddy in for a helping hand if your work of art requires assistance. For the winner, the grand prize is a summer gift basket filled with goodies for a nice relaxing spa day at home. Tucked away inside the basket are gift cards to various restaurants in Ellipsa. Don't fret if you aren't interested in participating! Anyone is welcome to walk around and marvel at the competitor's creations.

A Feast for All

The hosts are bound and determined to ensure that no one leaves this beach hungry. If you're craving a cold tasty treat to stave off the heat, a bustling shaved ice stall is here to cool down roasting attendees. An endless variety of flavors are available for mixing and matching, waiting to quench your thirst. If you are feeling adventurous, there are a few questionable flavors on the menu such as Bacon, Durian, Jalapeño, Ketchup, Mushroom, Pickle juice and Seaweed. Try them at your risk or if your palette is "hungry" for something more on the "unique" side.

For those who made inquiries about alcohol, special arrangements have been made! A small pop-up bar has been set up for today's joyous occasion. The bar's pride and joy is a variety of summer-themed cocktails but you can also find other basic liquor or non-alcoholic drinks if your tastebuds are craving simplicity. To go alongside the refreshing beverages, food is also provided at this small establishment. Some of the dishes on the menu are: kebabs with a hint of rum, peach bruschetta, spring rolls, fish and chips, crab hush puppies, and a spicy jalapeño popper dip (you can also ask for the ghost pepper version of this dip if you are feeling brave). All the hosts ask is that visitors to the bar be mindful of the people who can't or aren't interested in drinking.

Decorated across the shores of the beach are tables, picnic blankets, and sizzling hot grills for the designated picnic area. In a similar fashion to the potluck that took place a while back, several tables have been set up for those who like to go crazy in the kitchen or wish to advertise their food business by bringing samples to share.

Time flies when so much fun is taking place! As the last light of day begins to fade, the stars come out to brighten up the night sky on this clear summer day. However, just because there's no more sunlight, doesn't mean the party is over. Far from it! There's still lots of excitement to be had for the attendees who wish to stick around for the night festivities.

A Midsummer Night's Glow

On the middle of the beach, a blazing bonfire burns ever so brightly inside a log fire pit. Eat snacks, catch up with friends, meet new people, or get cozy with others should one be feeling touch starved. In need of an icebreaker? A game of truth or dare or telling scary stories makes for a good way to pass the time. Maybe you'll have a fateful encounter and land yourself a date before the night is over.

With a sky full of beautiful stars, a bustling bonfire, and a large open space, the atmosphere is perfect for dancing. The DJ for the evening is the bright and energetic Aimoto Rinku, here to bust out an array of sick beats with her turntable. There's plenty of fun to be had in a group conga line or grab a partner for a slow, romantic bolero, and dance to whatever music piques your interest. A small makeshift stage is also set up for those who wish to sing, Rinku will be more than happy to work with any potential performers. From upbeat EDM to ballads, all types of genres fill the air with music. Let loose, enjoy the melody, and dance the night away!

Festive Mementos

For one of the hosts, summer just isn't the same without fireworks exploding across the sky. To end the evening with a bang, a beautiful barrage of fireworks paints the night sky in various colors and patterns. As a final gift to the attendees, Yoimiya has prepared sparklers for everyone to play with. There are a variety of colors to choose from, pink, red, blue, green, orange, purple, yellow, etc. No matter what color catches your fancy, with a little flick of the wand, all of them appear like twinkling stars sparkling and flickering across the stick.

To end off the light show, fireworks representing each of the seasons burst into the sky. Blue snowflakes for Winter, pink cherry blossoms for spring, a yellow sun for Summer, and red maple leaves for Autumn. After the vibrant display, a final golden ray of light flickers and explodes into a bright, heartwarming message for all of the guests. "Thank you for attending! You are all amazing! Let's have a great time in Ellipsa!"

[Hange rests an arm on Levi's shoulder for support, lifting the afflicted leg up from the ground so that he can take a better look at it. Thankfully it doesnt seem as though the injury is rapidly worsening, but the skin is definitely inflamed and the reddened outlines of tentacles are becoming more and more visible.]

I didn't.. I didn't notice it until I felt something on my leg.

[Placing the foot back on the ground, Hange turns to the waters where they had been standing. After a quick scan, something small can be seen coasting along on top of the waves.]

That's it, right there! You see? It's a pale white, you can barely see it against the water. Look-- [And they're already hopping back over to the water's edge--]

[ N o p e . ]

[ Levi's quickly grabbing them to stop them from wading into the water again, and maybe sitting them down on a rock while he's at it. He'll force it if necessary, but he's pretty gentle otherwise. ]

You stay put. Keep that leg elevated and don't move. [ Surely snake bite precautions apply here, right? ]

[ And, sure enough, he's grabbing that bucket -- hopefully it's empty by now, otherwise crab-chan is going to have a roommate -- pausing by the waterline to brace himself and swear heartily, and then hopping in, shoes and everything. It probably looks a bit funny since he's moving kind of like a stork in a puddle, as if it somehow will get less water on him. ]

[ He catches up with the floating jelly before it makes it much further, still in shallow waters luckily, and ladles it up with the bucket, careful not to touch it. There's some ramen-like tentacles hanging over the edge at first but they slide into the bucket a moment later. ]

[ And then he's wading back to shore as fast as he can, holding the bucket as far away from himself as possible. ]

[This may be one of those rare times where Hange follows his instructions perfectly, because treating this as you would a bite or sting from some other animal is the best course of action even though nothing else really feels off other than the leg and its noodley welts.]

[It really is a role reversal because now Hange sits on top of a rock, honestly a little mystified at what they're seeing as Levi wades around with the bucket in an attempt to catch it, because they're pretty sure when asking him to join in earlier he said he wouldn't be caught dead in the waters.]

Oh, you caught it! Careful-- the poison noodles are quite long! [Please don't get stung too this really hurts!]

Should we ask one of the other beach-goers if they know what it is?

[ He just makes a grunt of affirmation -- yeah, I can see that -- and pours some water off carefully, so that the creatures don't die but have to stay low in the bucket, so that hopefully neither of them comes in contact with it again. ]

You can ask the doctor.

[ There's no more time to waste!! ]

[ Which... how do they even get to the hospital again? There's air buses, but it'll take a while to get to one and then the trip itself might take a while too. He thinks he remembers seeing a teleportation station near where they entered the district, and those things usually had a speed dial for the hospital, police station and such, but it would take a while to reach it from here too. If only there was some way they could get to it faster -- ]

[ Hm. ]

[ He will offer Hange the piggyback option, but if they seem at all reluctant about it, he'll just heave them over one shoulder like a sack of potatoes, take the bucket into his opposite hand, and then stroll toward wherever he remembers seeing Eren last. ]

[ As soon as he spots him, doing whatever he's up to this time, Levi raises his voice a little to get his attention. ]

Eren. I need to borrow you for a minute.

[ He may look calm, but on the inside, he's totally panicking! ]

[ Eren isn't busy, mostly hanging out with a drink (not booze!), considering if he wants to risk some other weird food. Probably. He likes trying food, after all, though the ghost pepper stuff was a lot…

Then Levi comes up carrying Hange and he forgets about food. Levi looks pretty much the same as always, but if he's asking for help (in not so many words), it's probably something to be concerned about. ]

Okay. What happened?

[Hange tried their best to assure Levi that they could hop along the beach just fine, which did indeed end up with them being promptly tossed over Levi's shoulder for the journey.]

Oh, Eren!

[A little upside-down wave accompanies Hange's cheerful yet pained smile as they do their best to lift their head up and twist around to greet him.]

It's probably not as bad as it looks! I don't feel too bad other than the stinging.

[Yeah that didn't answer shit.]

[ Levi pins Hange's behind with a glare, then emphasizingly looks toward that welt-scribbled, swelling calf that should be in plain view. Then he looks back to Eren and just rudely cants his head toward Hange as an indicator because both his hands are busy at the moment. ]

Hange was being a fucking moron and got stung by poison noodles.

[ Well, that's... pretty to the point, at least. ]

I'm taking them to the hospital. There's a -- "teleport" station here but it's by the edge of the beach. [ He nods at the general direction, still managing to maintain a calm facade but the amount of talking he's doing and the sense of urgency probably gives away that he isn't, really. ] Any chance you can get us there faster than I can hobble on this useless leg?

[ Yeah. He's not saying "please" exactly, but it seems that he's actually willing to trust and rely on Eren's power here. How long has it been since the last time that happened?.. Definitely before the end of the world, right?.. ]

[ Eren kind of stares for a moment, tries to figure out just what the fuck is going on. He can't quite get there. ]

Poison noodles?! Where did you get poison noodles? I didn't even see noodles here.

[ It's not his fault he doesn't get this. He knows he's missing some crucial thing, but what the hell else would poison noodles be and how could they sting? Ugh, okay, well there are more important things here. ]

…Yeah, I can—

[ He reaches as if he might take over this carrying job, since that's what the ask is, but he stops.

Oh.

Oh.

That's not what the ask is. Levi isn't asking him to run there on his human legs. He's visibly shocked when he realises what the captain is asking him to do. Really? That's a lot of trust to suddenly have, though it's about Hange being all right and has nothing to do with him specifically. Still. ]

Yes, sir.

[ He says like it matters. Like Levi is still his captain and he's still a soldier and not a monster who will end/has ended the world. Normalcy.

When in time is this?

That doesn't matter.

This isn't usually how he does this anymore, (he grew out his nails, he often carries a knife, though not here at the beach) but maybe the time confusion hits him a little. He raises his hand to his mouth and bites down. ]

The noodles are in the bucket.

[Hange points to the bucket still held in one of Levi's arms, the poor jellyfish sloshing about in there as they ran up the beach.]

[If this were anyone else Hange would assure them that they felt fine even if a little sore, and that they could make their own way to a doctor just for peace of mind, but once they realise what it is Levi is asking for, there is absolutely NO WAY they are about to pass up a personalized Attack Titan transportation service!]

Y-yeah, it's really sore! Actually, my leg is burning a lot! Levi says I should see a doctor so if you can take us there quick, I'd really appreciate it!

[oh how fast the tables turn..]

[ Levi wiggles said bucket a little with some irritation, making the jellyfish bump against the walls. ]

It's some kind of a creature.

[ But Hange said it looked like ramen noodles, so that's what it's called now. And poison, well, that's just obvious from the way Hange's leg is swelling up-- ]

[ Eren seems to understand his request. Levi nods and takes some steps back just in case, though he's aware Eren's long been able to transform without blowing up the people surrounding him. But this is indeed already a huge show of trust, he can let himself have some little doubts here and there. ]

[ If the circumstances were different, he might not resort to something like this... Then again, it's not like the transformation seemed to have any particularly bad effect on Eren's psyche; he'd been doing it to help around the city and so far he had seemed to be improving. And, well, perhaps it's around time for him to extend some tiny crumbs of trust again, follow up on that symbolic sharing of tea they had done earlier in the month, proof that it's more than words or little gestures, proof that he really is willing to try his best to give Eren a chance. ]

[ But he might have let it sit another week, another month, if every molecule in his body wasn't screaming at him to not let Hange die again, to something this utterly stupid and preventable-- ]

[ He can fucking feel the sudden mood shift on his back, and he turns his head to give them the best flat stare he can muster. ]

Oi. Four-eyes. Don't be gross.

[ He's not cancelling the personalized Attack Titan Uber, though! Just maybe feeling quite a bit calmer than he was a moment ago, that is until he recalls Hange's last fucking words being some titan groupie garbage and figures that it is, in fact, an unreliable metric to measure their well-being. ]

[ Before he transforms, Eren gets a look at the jellyfish. It just looks like a wiggly blob. Is that thing really alive? The tendrils must be the "noodles." Sure, he can see it.

What the fuck is it, though. Also why is it in this bucket if it's poison— no, he knows the answer to that one. Hange is the answer to that one, though he's a little surprised Levi didn't just pitch it back into the sea.

He'll have to ask someone about this poison noodle creature, but…later.

Hange makes a big deal out of the titan thing as if they haven't seen it a hundred times.

The lightning crash of the transformation is probably disruptive to anyone still around to see it, but it doesn't destroy anything. He's got enough handle on it and they're out in the open anyway. There's nothing to get in the way.

Without the ODM gear to help get them off the ground this time, Eren really does have to carry them. He's not about to just grab, though. Sounds like a good way to get his hand sliced up (surely Levi isn't without a weapon at all). It wouldn't really hurt; the way the titan feels pain isn't the same as the way he feels it in his regular body. But it would delay this rescue.

So he goes to one knee instead, hand out for them to step onto. He didn't ask if he should run, but he didn't need to. This is an urgent thing, and he can avoid squishing beachgoers, it's fine. ]

How am I gross? [That question is rhetorical.] You're the one who called Eren over.

[They may have seen it hundreds of times by now, but Hange still gets that little spark of joy in seeing the transformation happen again. Eren holds a hand out for them to hop on, and once they do Hange is once again attempting to wriggle out of Levi's grip, seemingly unbothered by the shooting pain in their calf as they try to break free in order to get a better view before they make their way across the beach.]

..You can put me down. I'll just hold on to you that way, it'll be fine! Eren won't let us fall!

[Levi please!]

[That titan obsession may be getting the better of them, and it may be something as simple as running across a beach, but Hange is saying they trust Eren not to let them come to any further harm, and to get them to their destination safely. It's something small, but also significant, right? ]

[ The main reason Levi went through the trouble of grabbing it is because everyone knows that when you get stung by an unknown animal you're supposed to bring it to the doctor! ~~Which is advice outdated by about 300 years, but that's AoT for you.~~ He doesn't want to risk it just in case the creature isn't something common in this place. ]

[ Levi takes a moment to steel himself -- he's stepping into a titan's hands without his gear and they'll probably be carried like a bug just to make sure they don't fall which is fucking terrifying -- and chooses to extend that last bit of trust, stepping into Eren's palm and kneeling down for stability. ]

[ By extension, Hange's legs will be hitting the surface of Attack Titan's hand as well, because they're too damn long, and Levi releases his hold on the back of their knees though he will definitely have some choice words if they let go of him completely. ]

...the station is that way.

[ He raises his voice a bit so it hopefully reaches Eren's ears while gesturing at the direction -- he probably knows it, anyway, but it doesn't hurt to make sure. ]

[ It should be just a few minutes with this kind of transportation, hopefully. ]

[ Eren recognises that this must be a lot for Levi to risk. Of course he would never hurt either of them like this now. Technically the Attack Titan as it is now never does. There's some awful monstrous thing he becomes later that Eren has an understanding of because he's seen the world through its eyes, memories of the ground from impossible height, the strangeness of it as if most of his body is somehow gone despite being enormous.

But after fighting against that? This must still be a lot.

He's not entirely sure how Hange died. Not fighting him directly. Fighting the Wall Titans? Either way, it sure doesn't dampen their enthusiasm about titans in general. Lucky him(?).

He nods once down at Levi, an acknowledgment. He knew where it was, but he doesn't mind the reminder. He just wants Levi to know he heard.

Not for the first time, he wishes he could talk like this, because what he's about to do is probably not a good time. Nothing for that, though. Levi knew he'd have to carry them somehow and he can't let them fall.

So he closes his other hand over that one, as carefully as he can. He doesn't have the exact same finesse as a titan that he does as a person, but he's not clumsy. But he's been held by a titan. It's not exactly a fun time.

Because they have nothing to anchor them, though, there's more. Sorry, heichou.

Along the edges of his hands, crystal forms, creating something like a seal. There's no way they can fall out of that. There's still space there between his hands, so they might get jostled a little, but he's doing his best.

He stands up and takes off, not at a full run so he doesn't just bounce his passengers around all over, but at fast walk. It's not that far for a titan. ]

[To their credit Hange does keep hold of Levi, choosing to kneel down beside him once the second hand closes in around the one below them, after which they are likely holding a little too tightly around his shoulders, not really paying attention to it because there are much more fascinating things happening here!]

Levi! Oi, Levi! Look!

[Hange is pointing to where a gap in the hands was allowing daylight to spill through, but now the light is becoming muted as the area begins to fill with layers of crystal.]

Eren! [He likely cannot hear it, but whatever!] ERENNNN! You're able to control it this delicately, while concentrating on moving? This is great! Your Titan form never fails to surprise me~! Don't you agree, huh Levi?

[They may be uncomfortably jostled about as they make their way across the beach, and it's a miracle that neither of them have been stung by the jellyfish that threatens to escape its bucket any time their balance is thrown off, but you wouldn't know it judging by the look on Hange's face, who is evidently having one of the best days of their life right now. Injured leg? What injured leg?]

[ Levi, in fact, does not think this is great. In fact, he practically goes rigid when the crystal starts forming -- not moving, practically holding his breath just until he's sure it doesn't turn into spikes and warp through him, fight or flight response kicking in -- and then slowly relaxes again as he forces himself to remember that Eren doesn't seem to have ever wanted to harm him, not directly at least. ]

[ Even if they don't know him as well as they thought they had, that was then and this is now. Hasn't he proven himself at least a little bit since? While this is a little more trust than he had been intending to give, the brat certainly deserves better than for Levi to suddenly wonder whether he's going to be killed upon asking for his help. ]

[ He winces slightly when Hange SCREAMS IN HIS EAR and he elbows them for good measure. ]

Shut up. He can't hear you.

[ He does keep one arm extended to hold the bucket, though, so that it doesn't turn over. Trapped in a crystal cage with poison noodles, now that would be a nightmare, luckily his sense of balance is excellent. ]

[ From here with his hands and the crystal, Eren really can't hear more than some muffled sound that is probably Hange gushing over the whole thing. That's just how they are, after all. But he doesn't need to hear them, just needs to get them to the doctor at the other end of the beach.

It's not all that far when you're 15 meters tall.

The finesse of it is probably more due to the War Hammer than anything else. Eventually he'll show Hange at least some of that. He owes it to them after threatening them the last time they'd seen each other at home, probably. He's just never sure how much he wants to give away, to who, and when. It's hard to stop being a manipulative asshole once he's been doing it so long, whoops!

Levi's instinct is right, though. He's never wanted to directly hurt either of them. He hurt Hange more than he meant to in that jail cell but otherwise? No. Not them. Not his friends. A lot of the things that happen aren't Eren directly fighting them. What he did to Mikasa and Armin was calculated to make them hate him (spoilers: that was never going to work). It's not to say he would never or could never hurt any of them, but…well, it's complicated.

Here and now removed from it, he absolutely does not want to. That's good enough for the time being.

A few probably terrible for Levi and not terrible for Hange minutes later, they all reach the end of the beach. He stops, then slowly kneels back down. The crystal dissolves into nothingness again and he takes his top hand away, setting his other one down on the ground so they can hop off and go get that…noodle sting…treated.

See, captain? No spikes! No broken trust this time. ]

[The journey is over far too quickly and soon enough Eren gets rid of the crystalized safety net and opens his palm so the pair of them can continue their journey.]

Cool... so cool!!

[Hange looks a little flushed, which could be from the unexpected Eren-Uber, or from the heat, or from noodle poison making its way through their body. Who knows!]

Hey, Eren! How did you do that? That level of control while running, it was simply amazing! And then you removed it just as easily as you created it! You've really been practicing well with it, huh?

Is that the titan's hardening ability? Or was it something to do with the War Hammer titan?

[Yeah Hange is making no effort to actually leave right now, just unconsciously leaning on Levi's shoulder to alleviate some of the leg's pain as they focus on what is truly important here (titan abilities).]

[ Levi doesn't expect Eren to break his trust right now, but he still breathes a sigh of relief when after a few (absolutely hellish and claustrophobic) minutes they see the light of day again. It's over. Good job. ]

[ Hange doesn't look interested in in leaving, but he's definitely not liking that flush. It's probably just their titan excitement, but he can't know for sure, can he? So Levi grabs the poison noodles with one hand and Hange with the other -- quite possibly heaving them over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes -- and steps down from the Attack Titan's hand. ]

[ He takes a few steps toward the teleport stone, then pauses and glances back. ]

Hey, Eren. [ He seems to hesitate for a moment before deciding that he has, in fact, earned it. Who knows what color Hange would be by now if they hadn't gotten here so fast! His worry starts buzzing again so he gets on with it; ] ...Thank you.

[ With that, he turns away completely and, still manhandling his bespectacled buddy, of course, stomps off toward the center of the mini-station without further pause or lingering. Better wave goodbye, Hange! (It's almost like he's hoping to make off before anybody can process what he just said, oops. We're normal about expressing feelings in this house.) ]

[ Once there, he just needs to set the destination dial to the hospital, and touch the glowy stone in the middle -- with how much he and Hange seemed to be carrying each other around today, he will have more than enough energy for the teleportation. ]

[ Once he's sure the titan isn't needed anymore, he lets the transformation go, sliding along it down to the ground as it dissolves into hot steam as always. The marks stay on his face, but he's used to that by now. They'll fade when they fade.

He considers Hange's question. ]

I guess it's probably both.

[ That's not a great answer, but he doesn't want to get Hange distracted considering what titans can do and which power is tied to which thing. They can do that when they're not poisoned by sea noodles!

Not that Levi is going to let them stay here and chatter anyway.

If Levi thinks Eren isn't going to notice what he said, he's dead wrong. He has Eren's full attention after saying his name, especially with that pause there. But that thank you surprises him, after everything.

Once the surprise fades enough, he almost smiles. It's like he wants to and doesn't remember how; all that carefully cultivated blankness is still hard to crack through, like a layer of ice on a glacier, unless he's angry. ]

You're welcome, Captain.

[ Levi might already be too far away to hear, but that's fine. Completely normal about feelings in this house, yep.

He would tell Hange to be more careful, but they won't, and Levi has that part covered. It's kind of nice to be helpful without hurting anyone for once. Huh, weird. Will he remember that feeling later? Who knows. ]

[Hange really wanted to stay and talk more about Titan Things™️, but Levi is having none of it. He does indeed need to throw Hange over a shoulder in order to get them to actually move, but at least they aren't fighting him on it once up there.]

[They don't really think too hard on the little exchange either, Hange's relationship with Eren is decidedly less awkward (at least in Hange's view) so thanking him doesn't really feel like some big thing.]

[Oh well! Not any time to dwell on it because they're off!]

[Levi sets the dial and off to the hospital they go, poison noodles in hand...]

[ Eren should definitely remember that feeling. Hell, he should definitely remember how to smile, too. But maybe he'll get there eventually, little by little, like a droplet of water carving its way through stone. ]

[ For now, he can enjoy the rest of the party, while Levi puts his hand on the crystal and whisks himself and Hange into the lobby of the hospital. ]

[ There's a line to reception, of course. Levi still believes that there's no time to waste and muscles his way to the front, handing off the poison noodles bucket to Hange so he can use his free arm to grip the nearest nurse by the lapels and demand to see a poison specialist immediately. ]

[ By some miracle, he doesn't get escorted out of the hospital and is instead allowed to accompany Hange into the examination room minutes later, perhaps because neither of them is able to say what exactly stung them and there's no joking around with venomous animals. ]

[ Of course, once the doctor sees the "poison noodles" in the bucket, they probably regret prioritizing this case a little bit, but as showing them outside to wait seems likely to only cause bigger problems, not to mention that both people appear to be Saviors From Another World, they'll proceed with the examination and treatment. ]

[Hange takes the jellyfish bucket and just sort of trails after Levi, right up until the moment he begins to manhandle the staff, at which point Hange is butting in between them and hastily apologizing, leaving the bucket on a chair in order to pull him away from the poor nurse.]

H-haha~! It's not that urgent, I'm sure.. We can wait! Right, Levi...?

[He's worried, probably more than Hange is to be honest, so they can't really fault him for his behavior. Thankfully the threats and talk of venomous animals is enough to get attention though, so they get moved to the room soon enough....]

[.....And after a quick examination of the leg, the bucket, and explanation of what 'jellyfish' are, the Doctor makes it clear that nobody is in danger of losing their life today, so no further aggression will be tolerated. (Hange is side-eyeing you, Levi)]

[After the nurse applies some sort of cream to the leg with instructions to repeat it at home for a couple of days and to soak it in warm water, they try to offer an injection of some sort of anti-inflammatory, but it turns out to be a huge pain in the ass with neither of them agreeing to it until they know what is in it, because injecting serums hardly ever ends well, and then Hange is wanting to take a sample of it to run in some fancy medical software they've seen before in the research center and before long the poor staff give up, offering a simple ibuprofen with the option to take it or leave it before the pair are prompted to leave, poor jellyfish still sloshing around in its bucket.]

....Hey, Levi. Let's go back to the beach!

[Absolutely nothing has been learned from this encounter.]

[ Of course he's worried. He's had to watch them walk away into certain death before. He's had to be left alone. There's no way he's letting some damn glob of jelly make him go through that again. He's irate and violent and even somewhat jittery, and his shoulders only slump with some relief once they're in the doctor's office being told that nobody dies from a sting of that jellyfish. ]

[ He almost wants to lie down on the floor and groan -- fucking four-eyes, putting them through all of this -- but manages to mostly hold it together. He's definitely ignoring the side-eyeing, though, because fuck that. ]

[ They're out in the lobby by the time Hange apparently has recovered completely, and he reaches out to grip their ponytail so he can turn their head toward him and stare for a few long moments. ]

Absolutely not.

[ And he's also taking the bucket-- ]

And we're getting rid of that.

[Hange won't fight it too hard when Levi snatches the bucket away, but they don't really like the tone he takes when saying to get 'rid' of it. The creature did nothing wrong!]

That's why I said we have to go to the beach! We need to put it back.

[It's fine, Levi. Nobody will get stung again. (Probably?)]

I don't want Noodles to die because we had it trapped in a bucket, in the sun for all this time.

[It's a typical Hange moment, obviously more concerned for the creature that could have potentially killed them rather than their own wellbeing.]
