BEACH PARTY

The sun is shining, a cool, crisp ocean breeze flutters across the shores of Solarpeak Beach. There's not a single cloud in the sky, the perfect day to have a party! Whether you heard about it through Yoimiya's network post, word of mouth or just happen to stumble onto the festivities, everyone is invited to Ellipsa's scorching hot Beach Bonfire Party! Grab your swimsuits, sun dresses, or whatever you feel the most comfortable in, and join in on the fun.

Gonna Soak Up the Sun

Through the combined efforts of Sisu, Yoimiya, and the many kind volunteers who lent their assistance in setting up the venue, the beach party is here and open to the public! Upon arrival, everyone will be given a choice of colorful, handmade hibiscus leis or bracelets to adorn for the party. They aren't mandatory in the slightest, just a cute little thank-you gift to those who are attending. After receiving a warm welcome from the hosts, you're free to set off and have fun! Meet up with friends or introduce yourself to new people from distant worlds, the party is your oyster. Of course, there will be plenty of other activities to partake in as well. Venture forth to the fun!

Feeling brave and daring? Sitting on top of the ocean is an inflatable balance beam built especially for water jousting. Foam joust poles and life jackets (if you wish to wear one!) will be given to would-be challengers looking to scratch the itch for a fight. The goal is to assert your dominance by knocking adversaries into the water and be the last person standing. Show off your strength and become the champion of the beach!

Perhaps you might be in the mood for a bit of fun in the sand. A large area of the beach is sectioned off for the grand Sandcastle Competition. Solarpeak residents from all across the city are bustling with excitement, flocking in to watch the artists do their magic, so go wild with your creations and give them a good show! Buildings, any kind of sculpture, or even just a basic castle are all accepted, let your imagination run free. You can even drag a buddy in for a helping hand if your work of art requires assistance. For the winner, the grand prize is a summer gift basket filled with goodies for a nice relaxing spa day at home. Tucked away inside the basket are gift cards to various restaurants in Ellipsa. Don't fret if you aren't interested in participating! Anyone is welcome to walk around and marvel at the competitor's creations.

A Feast for All

The hosts are bound and determined to ensure that no one leaves this beach hungry. If you're craving a cold tasty treat to stave off the heat, a bustling shaved ice stall is here to cool down roasting attendees. An endless variety of flavors are available for mixing and matching, waiting to quench your thirst. If you are feeling adventurous, there are a few questionable flavors on the menu such as Bacon, Durian, Jalapeño, Ketchup, Mushroom, Pickle juice and Seaweed. Try them at your risk or if your palette is "hungry" for something more on the "unique" side.

For those who made inquiries about alcohol, special arrangements have been made! A small pop-up bar has been set up for today's joyous occasion. The bar's pride and joy is a variety of summer-themed cocktails but you can also find other basic liquor or non-alcoholic drinks if your tastebuds are craving simplicity. To go alongside the refreshing beverages, food is also provided at this small establishment. Some of the dishes on the menu are: kebabs with a hint of rum, peach bruschetta, spring rolls, fish and chips, crab hush puppies, and a spicy jalapeño popper dip (you can also ask for the ghost pepper version of this dip if you are feeling brave). All the hosts ask is that visitors to the bar be mindful of the people who can't or aren't interested in drinking.

Decorated across the shores of the beach are tables, picnic blankets, and sizzling hot grills for the designated picnic area. In a similar fashion to the potluck that took place a while back, several tables have been set up for those who like to go crazy in the kitchen or wish to advertise their food business by bringing samples to share.

Time flies when so much fun is taking place! As the last light of day begins to fade, the stars come out to brighten up the night sky on this clear summer day. However, just because there's no more sunlight, doesn't mean the party is over. Far from it! There's still lots of excitement to be had for the attendees who wish to stick around for the night festivities.

A Midsummer Night's Glow

On the middle of the beach, a blazing bonfire burns ever so brightly inside a log fire pit. Eat snacks, catch up with friends, meet new people, or get cozy with others should one be feeling touch starved. In need of an icebreaker? A game of truth or dare or telling scary stories makes for a good way to pass the time. Maybe you'll have a fateful encounter and land yourself a date before the night is over.

With a sky full of beautiful stars, a bustling bonfire, and a large open space, the atmosphere is perfect for dancing. The DJ for the evening is the bright and energetic Aimoto Rinku, here to bust out an array of sick beats with her turntable. There's plenty of fun to be had in a group conga line or grab a partner for a slow, romantic bolero, and dance to whatever music piques your interest. A small makeshift stage is also set up for those who wish to sing, Rinku will be more than happy to work with any potential performers. From upbeat EDM to ballads, all types of genres fill the air with music. Let loose, enjoy the melody, and dance the night away!

Festive Mementos

For one of the hosts, summer just isn't the same without fireworks exploding across the sky. To end the evening with a bang, a beautiful barrage of fireworks paints the night sky in various colors and patterns. As a final gift to the attendees, Yoimiya has prepared sparklers for everyone to play with. There are a variety of colors to choose from, pink, red, blue, green, orange, purple, yellow, etc. No matter what color catches your fancy, with a little flick of the wand, all of them appear like twinkling stars sparkling and flickering across the stick.

To end off the light show, fireworks representing each of the seasons burst into the sky. Blue snowflakes for Winter, pink cherry blossoms for spring, a yellow sun for Summer, and red maple leaves for Autumn. After the vibrant display, a final golden ray of light flickers and explodes into a bright, heartwarming message for all of the guests. "Thank you for attending! You are all amazing! Let's have a great time in Ellipsa!"

[ Silly Tartaglia! Playfully, she rubs their noses together, giggling at her crazy, chaotic boyfriend. It's just like him to make a crazy declaration, only he would be so bold as to proclaim his wild ambitions to fight the gods of this universe. His unabashed, fearless nature is one of his many charm points she finds attractive.

Or maybe it's just that guys who seek to conquer the world are her preferred type. ]

Hehe, I wouldn't have it any other way! Nothing would make me happier than to stand by your side and witness your glory first hand.

One could probably argue that his chest puffs out a little more with her own declaration, cockiness and arrogance filling him as equally as love and affection for her. [ With a beaming smile, Yoimiya happily trots off and it's not long until she's on the stage with a mic in hand. Firework shows have always been her gig, she's never been the actual center of attention but despite this being her first time on stage, an air of confidence surrounds her. With Tartaglia's performance weighing on her mind, he's inspired to nail this little show as she sings a song that she has grown quite fond of. ]

[ Just like the fireworks she's always happy to show off, Yoimiya is bursting with energy, shining like a natural entertainer. Throughout the performance, Yoimiya makes certain to pick him out from the crowd of people to lock stares with him as she not only sings but dances on stage as well. ]

Oh, you came as a surprise ♪

[ At this particular line she winks, pointing right at her boyfriend. A line that resonates with her since he came into her life like a surprise, a wonderful surprise that's filled her life with love. ]

♪ Think you're all about me, but I'm all about you. ♪

[ The song comes to a close and with that, she ends it off with a bow. She's feeling quite proud of herself and her performance as she strides over to Tartaglia. ]

[He absolutely wants to be up front and center to watch her, making his way to the very front so he can be right there as she sings for him. It's hard to miss him, his ginger hair sticking out like sore thumb among the rest of the people drunkenly enjoying others go up on stage, his eyes locking with hers. His grin only gets bigger and bigger as she continues, returning her wink with one of his own, the expression on his face prideful from how well she sings to how she works the stage with such confidence. It makes him want to jump up there with her, the only thing holding him back from doing so is respect for her and that he loves hearing her sing for him.

Tartaglia's eyes shine back at her even through the dull gloss of the abyss, her performance making his heart flutter and beat a little more strongly, trotting up to her as she comes down to scoop her up in his arms suddenly to spin her around as he laughs.]

Goodness, what a performance! I almost had to join you up there myself.

[He gives her a quick peck to her lips, flattered and proud of her. Maybe it's just karaoke to them, but a lot of people would never get up on a stage and sing in front of people like that.]

And here I wasn't sure if you were going to be able to top my own song, [he says, winking.] I should have known you'd figure out something that was equally as sweet...I rather enjoyed it. It's made me feel like I've won the lottery here.

[ Amidst the sky full of stars, she easily spots her precious, shining star in the sea of people. She can feel the gaze of his enchanting blue eyes from the audience, her stare is locked onto his handsome face and for a brief moment, she swears that those lightless abyss eyes have a breath-taking shine to them. Performing for an audience on stage is a thrill but being able to dedicate this special song and sing her heart out to him fills her whole being with immeasurable warmth. It's an honor to have the opportunity to display her love for her beau for the entire party to witness.

She can feel her heart fluttering as he sweeps her off her feet, keeping a steady hold on him by looping her arms around his neck as they spin and merrily laugh like the happy couple they are. ]

Goes to show you, never underestimate the Queen of the Summer Festival! [ giggling in jest as she pokes her cute little tongue out at him. ] I'm glad you enjoyed the performance. It was my first time singing on stage but I'm just so happy it was for you.

[ At this moment, it's as if time has stopped and they are the only ones on this beach. In her vision, all she can see is Tartaglia's adoring smile, a blessed expression that she feels so lucky to witness. There's not a subtle bone in either one of their bodies as they display their affection for the world, she plants a trail of sweet kisses from the corner of his mouth to his lips. ]

I would have been happy if you joined me, bet we'd make a great duo on stage. If my memory serves correctly, I think we talked about stealing a few shows together.

[It's true- he couldn't care less who sees them being so saccharine to each other, smiling like an idiot as she kisses him and returning it when she finally lands in the middle of his lips, closing his eyes happily to drink her in. His eyebrow quirks at the mention of a prior conversation, before he laughs with a smile that doesn't reveal what he's thinking or what he's already planned. But, he supposes once he reveals it to her, she won't be surprised, and if her performance just now tells him anything she'll be excited about what he's had planned from earlier in the day.]

Funny you say that...

[He says as he looks over to their DJ, whom of which he's already set up a song just for the occasion with her earlier.]

...because I think we can have that opportunity right now.

[He begins to walk up to the stage with her still in his arms, very ready and prepared to steal the show now with the two of them performing together. He puts her down once they've reach the middle of the stage, waiting for the song to start as he looks at her with a mischievous grin.]

I may or may not of anticipated this- hope you like the song I picked out.

[ Before Yoimiya gets the chance to say anything in response, she's being hauled to the stage, feeling like a princess getting carried by her strong, handsome knight. The whole way up to the stage, she's giggling, taking delight in showing off their saccharine affections for the entire world to watch. But best of all? The show isn't over yet, far from it. Just as they promised to each other back during the rain dance, they're about ready to make a whole act out of being one of the happiest couples in all of Ellipsa.

May or may not hace anticipated this. What a dork! She returns his mischievous grin with an all-knowing smirk tugging on the corners of her lips, she knows her boyfriend well enough to figure out he had this special moment all planned out. He's always been so incredibly thoughtful of her, his gestures of affection never fail to make her heart absolutely melt. ]

It's like you can read my heart, you're always so attune to exactly what I want. I have no doubts I'm going to love the song you picked for us.

[ Waiting for the music to start, her eyes are sparkling with excitement, ecstatic to hear the song he has in store for them. Whatever he has picked out, she already knows it's going to be a special song that will forever remind her of their accumulation of their love. ]

[Because of course it is, he wouldn't pick a song they both didn't already know before going up to sing it. He takes the mic once again, confidently taking his place on the stage, knowing that the song doesn't start until he starts, as he takes a deep breath and begins as he gazes at Yoimiya. The Harbinger has no problem immediately getting into character, immediately adopting a longing look in his eyes for her as he starts to sing, the music coming in right where it needs to as he moves along. Tartaglia moves closer and closer to her, making sure that the audience gets a show of it all and so he can wow her with his performance too, his high baritone voice smoothly hitting every note, seemingly more singing to her than to anyone else.]

[His hand comes up to brush her cheek, as if he were trying to erase any 'doubt' she may have on the matter, even if he knows perfectly well that such doubts most likely don't exist with her. She's been fearless in the face of everything that he is and stands for, and it's a trait worth admiring and appreciating.]

no one can say what we get to be~♪

[Sung with all of his heart, that's a reality he's determined to protect and make sure of. It's hard for him to imagine many others who'd be willing to be as vulnerable as she has with him, given his station, and if fate has willed it so, he can gladly accept that it's chosen Yoimiya out of all the people in Teyvat for him to find. And truly, no one would tell them otherwise- he wouldn't let her go no matter what others think.]

[He ends his part, confident, proud of his own performance, and looking forward to how she sings the next part.]

[ Even with all eyes on them, all Yoimiya can see is Tartaglia underneath the glow of the light, being on this stage with him feels like they are off in their world and everyone else is just here to witness their unwavering love. Her heart skips a beat in her chest, his voice leaving her with a sense of wonder as she listens to him sing. The Harbinger truly is a natural on the stage, his presence has the power to captivate a mass audience, which makes her feel all the more special that he's dedicating this song to her.

Tartaglia always manages to find a way to wow her but she's in complete awe at his performance, another reminder of why she's so utterly smitten with this man. Tonight, she's going to be dreaming about his voice serenading her to sleep, that's for sure. Following up, she knows the song by heart, singing it in her soprano voice as she gets into the character of someone who wants to be with her destined partner but is uncertain of the future, her honey eyes glisten with an expression of yearning. ]

[ The sweet gesture earns him an affectionate nuzzle to his palm, she reaches out to grab his free hand, intertwining their fingers together. There's not a shred of doubt within her. From their very first meeting in Chinju Forest, she felt an instant connection with him, a spark that she's never felt with anyone else. It's with those thoughts, she prepares herself to make an important change to the lyrics because she firmly believes that he is the one she is meant to be with. ]

[ Should the universe try to tear them apart, Yoimiya has faith they'll always find each other. His status as a Harbinger has never once bothered her, there's always been more to him than his allegiance and she's grateful he's been so open and trusting with her, an endeavor that's probably not so easy for him given how perilous his job is. Once they go back home, there are bound to be many trials and tribulations awaiting them, but she's determined to stand by his side and face them together. ]

[ Using the knowledge she gained from the mermaid teacher, she finishes her part with a quick dance, by keeping their hands interlocked, pulling away and twirling into him, pressing her back up against his chest. ]

[He grins as she responds to his touch, enjoying how sweetly she sings back to him and that she's changed the lyrics a bit- that part definitely needed to say something about how hesitant she's supposed to be but Yoimiya doesn't share the same feelings at all on it. It warms his heart to hear her be so confident and dedicated to him, his fingers tangling with hers, his face flushing ever so slightly with affection as her voice captivates him. Under the lights of the stage, she looks like a shining star, singing her heart out and making him feel like the only guy in the world to her.

Tartaglia follows her lead, moving his arm along with her to let her twirl out and back in, catching her in his arm as they begin the bridge of the song, their voices intertwining and harmonizing together to create a loving melody that resonates deep within him. He sways back and forth with her against him, enjoying their performance, pouring real emotions into his singing until they finally reach the end. He lets out a small laugh, wrapping his other arm around her to give her a tight squeeze of affection as he kisses the side of her head, the music fading out and their song finally over.

The two of the hop off stage, Tartaglia taking her hand and holding it as they walk off, heading towards the water so they can have a little bit of private time to themselves.]

I didn't realize you'd be such a natural at stage performance, Yoimiya.

[She'd already proven to be a good singer before, but that was definitely a theater-like song. His voice is soft and affectionate, smiling with adoration at her now that they're away from the crowd.]

[ As expected, Tartaglia matches her steps in perfect rhythm, catching her at just the right time each and every time she twirls into him. Pouring her heart out with him on stage has been one of the most exhilarating experiences of her life, their voices filling the ocean-breeze air in a symphonic duet will be a memory she will forever cherish. Putting on a grand show of their love has been a most wonderful joyride. Tartaglia continues to stay true to his word, every second she spends with him has felt like a brand-new exciting adventure and she's looking forward to being a part of the next wild stunt they get into.

Showing off their happy couple status to the world has been a treat but she still cherishes private moments with him more than anything. Once they make it to shore, Yoimiya slips out of her sandals to step into the water, a blissful sigh rolling out of her lips from the crisp ocean water splashing her feet. ]

Aw, I'm flattered, that was my first time singing on stage for an audience. Maybe I should look into becoming an idol.

[ She playfully jokes, giggling at the idea. Performing for a mass audience on stage sounds fun but as much as she enjoys chaos, dealing with paparazzi is a bit much even for her. Besides, those reporters would be in for a bad time if they bug her too much, she's certain Tartaglia will make sure of that. ]

You were amazing up there. If you weren't so busy with your job, I would have assumed you are actually a professional singer. Your handsome singing voice is still replaying in my head.

[He smiles at the idea of her being an idol, already looking the part to him as she wades into the water. The backdrop of the water against her silhouette in the moonlight is already enough to take his breath away, and thinking how she'd look performing on a stage with a real group behind her would be pretty amazing. He would also take a lot of pride in crashing even one of Yoimiya's performances, absolutely willing to insert himself up on stage, but maybe with a little warning to her first before he does so...

His own sandals get slipped off so he can join her in the water, slipping his arms around her waist to pull her into him.]

I'm flattered you think so. I've always fancied myself a better dancer than a singer, but I guess that just means that maybe I've been downplaying my own abilities even to myself on the matter. But Yoimiya, I wouldn't of sounded quite as good if you hadn't been up there singing with me.

[Tartaglia leans down to press a small kiss to her lips, short yet still affectionate.]

But if you do become an idol, [he says with a wink,] I can't say that I won't become extremely protective of you. It may ruin your image a bit, haha.

[Any suitors are going to be in for the time of their life when he gets to them.]

[ Her cheeks grow warmer as she relaxes into his hold, enjoying his strong, muscular arms wrapped around her small frame. Tartaglia truly is a perfect fit for the water, the moonlight glow shining on his handsome face makes her heart flutter with adoration.

For a brief second, Yoimiya looks a little surprised by Tartaglia's words of choice. Are her ears deceiving her? This show-off is actually.... (gasp) downplaying his abilities? THE SHOCK AND HORROR! ]

Hahaha! Look at you, sounding so humble! I'm proud of you. [ she says as a joke, playfully booping his nose with her index finger, ] I couldn't have done it without you either, our voices were in perfect harmony and I'd love the opportunity to sing with you again.

[ Mm, his kisses are sweet just like him. With a giggle, she gently bumps their foreheads together, returning the affections with a soft peck of her own. ]

If having a boyfriend makes me a scandalous idol, I'll gladly wear that title like a badge of honor. [ she responds in kind with a wink of her own, ] But in the end, I don't think I'm cut out for idol work. Singing in front of an audience sounds thrilling but I'd much rather sing for you alone.

[ If she isn't allowed to be true to herself and show off her boyfriend to the world, then being an idol sounds like a dull, colorless life tbh :c ]

[His eyes cross for a moment as she boops his nose, wrinkling it with a smile before kissing her again. He feels his cheeks flush ever-so-lightly, getting teased like this! He can be humble...maybe. It's not really in his vocabulary but he'll try (he won't)]

[Having Yoimiya all to himself sounds like a great time. Not that he would ever stop her from going for any line of work or any ambition she has, but knowing he's the one she comes to at the end of the day is a soothing thought that he takes a lot of joy in. She's his shining firework and no one else's, just as he is her knight who would throw himself into the heat of battle for her safety.]

But, I think it all made for a perfect night tonight.

[It's the end of the night, and all he really wants to do now is spend some quality time with Yoimiya, before the two of them head home to rest for the night. But the scene before them is too beautiful for him to pass up, so he holds her close as he gazes out at the water.]

Have you had a good day today, Yoimiya?

[He wants to know, since they weren't together all day and she'd put so much hard work into this.]

[ She understands that sentiment all too well. If Tartaglia ever wanted to get into the entertainment business, she would never get in the way of his dreams. But, the teeny tiny selfish side of her enjoys having him all to her greedy self. ]

For sure! Performing with you on stage will forever be a fond memory locked away in my heart. It made for an even more special, perfect day.

[ And she has him to thank for that! Yoimiya has been so busy playing host and running around all over the place, she didn't think about making plans to have a bit of fun for herself.

But now that the busting excitement has begun to simmer down, all she wants is to be alone with him, enveloped in his arms underneath the pale moonlight. Tipping her head up, she presses her forehead against his, brushing their noses together. Unable to contain her thirst herself, she closes the gap between the, leaning in to slot their lips together for a sweet kiss full of appreciation for the love of her life. ]

Today was wonderful. The turnout surprised me but I feel like bursting with joy seeing everyone having fun. Thank you, Tartaglia. I couldn't have done this without your help.

[ Through thick or thin, rain or shine, Tartaglia is a shining ray of light who has lit up her whole world, her brave knight that always goes out of his way to pave a path and be her cornerstone. As long as he's by her side, she feels like she can accomplish anything. Yes, that includes laying waste to the gods and conquering the world. ]

[His skin tingles as their noses brush, his eyes closing automatically as she leans in, locking them together in a full, loving kiss that he returns with just as much love. It's firm, full of confidence in both of them, loving in how softly he accepts and returns the short pass, eyes fluttering back open slowly after they break. The kiss is one that takes his breath away for a moment, gazing down at her under the glimmer of the moonlight against the water, appreciating her beauty- and not just her looks, but all of Yoimiya, with every quirk and upbeat part about her.]

[Hooking his arm around her waist, he turns her so they can have a nice moonlit walk down the beach, something nice and soothing to end the night on.]

C'mon, let's take a walk, and you can tell me all about what happened today. You deserve a little time to yourself now. Someone else can take care of anything that may arise now.
