[God, there he goes again acting like Katsuki was the neatest thing since sliced bread. It's just a bento!! It'll definitely be the most amazing bento Izuku will eat in his life-- but still! Stop being so embarrassing!!!]
Not a lot, so make it snappy.
[He growls that out, to keep up his grumpy appearance and make it seem like he didn't even want to stand in the shop. Because Katsuki.. actually liked flowers. Nature was nice, and even Katsuki could enjoy the smell of a nice bouquet.
But Izuku seems to be immune to that. It must be the fact that he's gotten his first bento (not from his mom) ever that's given him a sheen of delight.
So, he turns on his heel and waves Katsuki to follow him.]
I'll show you around where we keep the flowers and the hydroponic shelves too! Maybe next time I could show you the cafe.
[He'll do just that and show Katsuki into the biggest part of the store where all the flowers growing are stored behind glass panels and properly temperate rooms with higher humidity.]
Here is where a lot of the seasonal flowers are. With these pods, everything can be grown out of season too! Isn't it amazing? For now, I won't be doing much of the growing but I'm going to be helping with heavier work like getting pots moved and watering!
[Katsuki follows behind Izuku, tilting his head this way and that when he's shown the flowers growing and Izuku explains the purpose of the rooms.]
It's your first day yet you're already talking like a Pro.
[It's a statement that sounds annoyed, but he's impressed. Like always, Izuku is a fast learner and he's sure in no time he'll be allowed to handle the flowers himself.
Katsuki peers through the glass, looking at some of the flowers beginning to bud. It looks like there's some roses in there, too.. that reminds him of the one dangling off of his phone.]
So, are you gonna start covering our place in plants now that you work here? Is that something I need to prepare myself for?
[But there is a little sparkle in Izuku. Seems he really is enjoying this kind of thing so far. And as usual, Izuku is a very faster learner. He totally didn't stay up until three in the morning reading everything he could find to prep-]
I still have a lot to learn so maybe I'll wait a little while. Or maybe I can start with something easy like a cactus or some bamboo or a sunflower...?
Don't get a cactus. You'll just stab yourself on it all the time.
[Clumsy boy... though it really was kind of cute seeing how into his job he already was. It's a new area of skills that neither of them really ever thought too hard about, and he knows Izuku genuinely enjoyed learning new things.
[A genuine question as Katsuki has no idea how sunflowers are even grown. He.. just assumes since sun is in the name, it's probably grown in a lot of sunshine????
Though sunflowers... they kind of make him think of Izuku...]
[He does seem pretty excited about all of this stuff. Who knew that Izuku would have an interest in plants and flowers? But he does love learning new things.
Izuku looks down shyly.]
But thanks for coming by, Kacchan. It actually means a lot to me.
[That honesty feels like a sharp pain in Katsuki's chest, followed by a warm feeling in his face that he's starting to get used to. Izuku is always being so sappy all the time... but this was a particularly nice thing for Katsuki to do for him, and it admittedly feels good to get acknowledged as much as he hates it when people acknowledge the nice things he does for them.]
It should! Not everyone gets to have a handmade bento by a pro chef, you know!
[Honestly, this is monumental so Izuku really can't blame Katsuki for hiding behind his ego for this one. This was very kind-hearted of him and Izuku is just really touched and surprised and happy all packaged into one.]
It does! It does, I'm really grateful, Kacchan!
[This bento is a prize!!]
I'll make sure I make it up to you somehow!
[Izuku... trying his best to make a bento in the future? It's more likely than you think.]

So he has to be extra angry today.]

This will be good for him, he thinks.]

[He doesn't want to agree that he's clumsy...! But Katsuki is probably right.]
Then... Maybe a few sunflowers?

Don't worry about it. Both of my jobs have to do with cooking, so it's just to help me keep my skills sharp.
[Speaking of jobs, Katsuki pulls his phone out to check the time and notices.. he's about to be running late.]
I gotta go. Stop by after your shift if you want something good for dinner.
[Is Katsuki going to give him free food? Maybe.]

Right! I'll do that. Good luck today, Kacchan!
[He waves him goodbye!!]
