What had started with Mami stress-baking far too much cake and offering to give some away, had lead to a number of other offers to bring food, and soon she had ended up in charge of a substantial potluck mingle. Well, she supposed it would make for a nice welcome party for everyone else who had been dragged into this strange new world with her!

And so, a number of small tables and picnic blankets had been set out with cakes, cookies, hot dogs, burgers and other sweet and savoury treats that her and others had been brought along. Mami had even taken the time to decorate the table with little flowers that she'd gathered as well, just to add to the atmosphere that the cherry blossom trees already provided.

Hopefully it would be a relaxing, pleasant afternoon.

Unremarkable. Plain clothes and a hoodie. Nothing close as... unique as what I am currently wearing.

[There's another pause.]

Though I might have to look for new casual outfit soon... Instead of wearing only this all the time.

Well, it's good to have choice. I know what it's like to have a favorite piece of clothing, though.

[ Bridget says, hugging her own hoodie a little closer. ]

Those clothes do attract a lot attention, though. Something more casual would be nice, I'm sure.

[The previous world at least these clothes don't look like they were out of place. Here, though? They do attract attention, like it had with Bridget.]

Mm. I am still terrible at picking outfits, though. [Even if he wasn't an alien mech masquerading as a human, he'd still have a hard time with that.]

Mmm, maybe you should find someone who can help you, then?

[ Beam! This nice woman must have friends, right? Bridget is just a little ray of sunshine. ]

[What friends...? Well, he had friends, but they aren't here with him.]

Maybe...? But I do not know anyone here who could help me.

[Y'know, given the purpose of the potluck, here.... Maybe he should be doing exactly that, making friends. But the beaming look on the other's face isn't what he call subtle.]

Ah...

[ Bridget rubs the back of her neck, suddenly awkward. ]

Oh, I don't know if I'm any good at that stuff.

Is that so...

[He picks up a brownie from the plate.]

Still better than me, I'd imagined. I practically have no, ah... Fashion sense.

[He shrugs, then pops a piece of brownie into his mouth, vut right after pulling down the avatar's mask. ... Hm? That's a new taste.]

[ Bridget tilts her head. ]

Ah, I suppose I can help I just... don't want to give you bad advice.

I wouldn't even know if it was bad advice, anyway.

[He admits before popping another brownie.]

Besides, I trust you at least would know what would look... cool, yes? [Cool, but also not standing out much? He's not sure if it's possible, but....]

W-Well, I'd know!

[ Bridget asks the question nervously. ]

Er, I guess? I'll do my best!

We can plan to, ah... shop for clothes later. Do not fail me when the time comes.

[Unnecessarily adding pressure to her with that.]

Ah, I've forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Soundwave.

[ An odd one, but pretty cool? She thinks? ]
