What had started with Mami stress-baking far too much cake and offering to give some away, had lead to a number of other offers to bring food, and soon she had ended up in charge of a substantial potluck mingle. Well, she supposed it would make for a nice welcome party for everyone else who had been dragged into this strange new world with her!

And so, a number of small tables and picnic blankets had been set out with cakes, cookies, hot dogs, burgers and other sweet and savoury treats that her and others had been brought along. Mami had even taken the time to decorate the table with little flowers that she'd gathered as well, just to add to the atmosphere that the cherry blossom trees already provided.

Hopefully it would be a relaxing, pleasant afternoon.

Gonna take some experimenting, but I'm thinking: we crisp up the skin while keeping it tender on the inside, add some spices...

[ Fork gesturing. I've never cooked or eaten frog and neither has Yuri before this moment but some of his suggestions will definitely make sense ICly if nothing else, sorry for any readers that are more familiar. ]

Ohh, Oryou knows about spices. That sounds good.

It also seems like the sort of thing that'd go great with, like, a red wine or something.

[ He will forever blame Imeeji for the fact that he has any idea what expensive alcohol would go well with. ]

Oryou knows about alcohol, but it tastes bad and it takes too much to get her drunk, so she doesn't drink it.

[It's hard to want to acquire the taste when your constitution is too good for you to get the nice side effects.]

Yeah, kind of an acquired taste. [ Hmmmm. ] What about a sweet milk tea? Cut the spice for people who can't handle it.

Oh, Oryou likes those! Oryou gives her seal of approval.

Cool. I like them, too. I can definitely show you how to make 'em.

Oryou is very interested in learning. She'll surprise her husband with it.

Do you like green tea?

Oryou likes it now. She lived in Japan, so tea is everywhere.

Have you ever had it as ice cream?

Oryou hasn't. But Oryou wants to try it now.

It's sweet, but not overly sweet. Kind of mild.

Oryou doesn't think cold tea would taste good, but if it's ice cream then it should be tasty.
