[That was...unexpected. The sudden darkness across the city has left Koro concerned, and feeling more or less "blessed" that he's used to dark areas.

Hell can get pretty dark at times.

Even so, if not sight, then Koro's other demonic senses would likely be a big help compared to any typical human walking the streets. Speaking of which...Koro definitely senses a presence, and a heavy one at that. Fear. Anxiety. Koro hates it. The very sensation makes him tense, reminds him of things he'd rather not think about.]

Hey. Are you alright? Come towards me, okay?

[Koro's voice is a stern concern, but gentle. Showing confidence and authority through a stoic voice, not the usual sultry husky tone that he usually gives. Too worried for his usual time...which is probably to his detriment. A human typically wouldn't like hearing such a random deep voice in the dark.]

( He's really working up a sweat here.

This slight, small young man with his sleeves rolled up, looking more like he's suited for an office job than what he's doing at present. Really getting into the corners for spring cleaning; they're supposed to be making furtive preparations but, oddly enough, the prospect of cleaning and working hard at it seems calming to Ko.

So he goes for it, silent in a room with a few other people. After a little while, he's standing from his task enough to approach someone working alongside him. )

You've been working hard. Care to take a break with me?

02. ) LOST

( Ko's been separated from those closest to him, but there's still work to be done. Having been paired off with someone else alone, they stand with hands joined under a fairy ribbon. His hand is the necrotic one and cold to the touch.

Stepping closer to the rod, Ko turns to his companion: )

( Deki is wheezing trying to get the generator moved; its a bit too bulky and unwieldy for him, even with someone else's help. He has to stop. )

Need a ... moment. You might be better off just ... haaaah getting help from ... someone else.

( He's been cornered by someone who really, for some reason, has it out for him to an absurd degree. They almost seem feral, and Deki doesn't stand a chance. He never could. Those around him seem to be leagues better at fighting, but the thought of doing so makes him a little queasy.

So there's not much he can do when sharp fangs sink into his neck. )

( Amahiko might very well have died, were it not for quick thinking. He had to rip apart his own jacket in order to make a tourniquet for his arm; he doesn't even have it in him to lament about the loss of that article of clothing that flattered his shape so nicely.

He can't seem to move. Breaths shallow and slow.

Dying of blood loss just seems to lift all the cares up and out of his head entirely. )

02. ) AFTER THE ENDING

( With everything over, Amahiko has to recoup.

He's going to have a pretty gnarly scar on his arm from here on out. He hadn't even really considered that who attacked him was a vampire; everything moved too fast, and his memory of the attack is spotty and fuzzy at best.

Thankfully, he'd been saved from the turning. He thought he'd be more introspective when the healing was done, but ... Amahiko finds it hard to feel very much of anything, seated outside a little shop in Nightwake. )

This place fuckin' rules now!

( Miku looks the part of rioter once more; a bandana tied over the lower half of her mouth, a heavy wooden baseball bat in hand. Her shiba, Rabies, follows her faithfully and excitedly as she goes through the city.

She's way too excited about all this, but at least she seems to be ... fighting for good this time? She's quite a little agent of chaos, but now she's taking out rioters with her bat and fists.

Until she comes across a few people ganging up on someone else ... But there's no hesitation there, either.

Cackling, she holds her hand out, almost as though throwing something, and something odd begins to take place: without having touched them physically, a few of the other rioters startle as though bashed across the head. )

02. ) A LOOP, CLOSED

( Miku has her eyes closed, but its not really helping her concentration very much ... She's doing her best, but the physical toll that the riots had taken on her, in addition to her curse from home, seem to be getting to her at this pivotal moment. )

( It's not that Uta hasn't cleaned before, but rather that the hustle and bustle of preparations is so very new to her. She seems like she wants to make conversation with someone else as she goes about cleaning windows, slow and sure. Looking over at other people, until she seems to stop, a little defeated, taking a break by sitting on a windowsill. The breeze from the open window blows at her dress from where she sits, and she keeps her head down. )

( Uta is over someone who's been hurt; she does not do well with blood. She can't really access her Song World either. Now isn't the time, and it feels wrong to do so anyway. Not to mention she'd need someone's permission to do so.

She takes off her long arm warmer, though, using it to apply pressure to a wound on the person on the ground in front of her. )

[ Oh, this is going to be miserable: Takakage has to put his foot down with Ko. He feels a bit ill, or maybe like he'll DLR any moment. Hands trembling a little, the visions of Ko being hurt swimming around in his brain, both a pure, unfettered fear and something that he needs to keep in mind to steel himself.

To say no to his God, before, was impossible. He never even wanted to.

But now he has to.

He sets down a bowl of katsudon in front of Ko on the coffee table. ]

I implore you to eat, Ko. You can't pour from an empty cup.

Takakage inhales deeply, as though steeling himself. If he were to allow Ko to leave without rest, he could very well end up with him being hurt beyond saving.

And that can never happen. ]

[ Takakage sure is pushy; he just said he thinks he's awake and yet offered tea anyway. He doesn't say anything, though. Just watching him pet at his face.

They're... kind of cute together. Takakage calling him Ko, not Ko-sama or God. It's odd. He thought he'd be jealous. ]

Or I can cook for you. Think it's been a bit since you ate.

[ He is just full of surprises. Atsuhide sees it isn't easy for him in the slightest. Inhaling like that, settling himself down to be what Ko needs, even if Ko doesn't want it.

Has to say something as he comes to sit next to Ko on the couch with his own bowl of katsudon.

Honestly, he doesn't feel much like eating, either. ]

C'mon. I worked hard on it.

( He means it, but it might come out a little touchy-sounding. He seems to realize, hunching his shoulders up. )

( God, he's glad to see Hijikata. He watches him handcuff the guy, righting himself to standing and stepping a little closer to his friend. The man is looking pretty dazed with that hit to the head. )

I'm a little tougher than I was since arriving here, but not as ... battle-ready as I thought. You must have your hands full.

( Ko stares at Takakage a bit, blinking a few times before he lowers his gaze to the katsudon. )

I'll wait for it to cool a bit, but I'll eat. Thank you both.

( Effectively humbled, Ko reaches out to grasp onto Takakage's hand, squeezing it with eye contact held ... Looking to Atsuhide to place his hand to his knee briefly before sitting back on the couch. )

You're right. I can't help anyone if I'm running myself into the ground. ... I still want to, though ...

( He is positively trembling at that voice, hugging onto himself like he's going to fall apart any moment out of pure fear. )

( Can't help but feel like he should have been training his magic and body in the way of being combat-ready a little more. )

[Frozen from fear? Koro experienced such a thing in humans many times. His whole body tenses, being reminded of how often humans froze out of seeing him. Too painful to bear, Koro shakes his head of awful memories and intends to soothe the frightened human no matter what it takes. He can't just leave him there!]

Okay. I'm coming towards you then. Try to take deep breaths. You're going to be okay.

[His voice is softer now, as his heavy footsteps echo in the darkness.]

Oh, don't ask. This is one of the worst shitshows I've seen since I got here.

[He rummages through his Hammerspace Purse and offer Ko a potion.]

Drink this. It's 'Feel Invincible'. It'll make you look all blinged out, but it'll protect you from pysical attacks.

[He absolutely means that "all blinged out" part. If Ko drinks it, he'll glitter all over the place.]

( From what Ko's seen of Hijikata, he's pretty dedicated to his job. That's respectable.

He takes the drink and looks it over before taking a swig. Ack. Sparkling from the limbs towards center is quite a sight. )

( Deki is absolutely not taking deep breaths; he's hyperventilating, crouching down to his knees, hands tangled up in his hair in extreme panic. )

( She asks is casually, but the undead make her bristle a little. )

( Her companion must be a performer, too; she's immediately jumping into the song like that, and the feeling she gets from dueting with someone who knows what she's doing fills her with such joy.

She has a smile on her face as the song closes out. A smile she hasn't let show in years, it seems. )
