[Most would only know Neuvillette as the calm, composed man who works in Amberfall library and occasionally shows his face on the network to ask a question or two.

In the midst of the ghouls and demons he is a different kind of being entirely, with the long blue horns that sweep out of his hair glowing brightly and something like wings shining from his back and hanging to below his knees as he hovers effortlessly in mid-air. His eyes glow, too, fierce and pearlescent as a sigil lights up before one outstretched palm and he sends a blast of water towards the Vice Captain so strong that it knocks one of the heads clean from the neck it is attached to. The neck itself writhes and flails as Neuvillette darts forwards and lands, briefly crouching to absorb the impact before setting off at a run.

A blast of wind knocks back a line of lesser demons that would have served as shields or fodder for more strength. He comes to a stop next to someone else braving this nightmarish enemy.]

Flank it. I will take the right-hand side.

[He could not say no to a call regarding dragons. The ones in Ellipsa may not be his own people but they still feel somewhat like kin, and Neuvillette does not object at all to spending some time ‘babysitting’ some rambunctious fairy dragons.

Though he did not make the mistake of assuming that anything fae would be easy he somewhat underestimates just how boisterous and energetic the little creatures would be. They seem to take to him quite naturally, recognising him as a fellow dragon and a friend of the fae, but that does not mean that they make things easy for the old man.

And so, Neuvillette inevitably ends up half-trapped under a pile of snoring dragonlings, having been dog(dragon?)-piled and then chosen as a bed. He does not seem to particularly mind this, and is even petting one of the little ones as it snoozes curled around the back of his neck and shoulders.]

[As a fairy dragon himself(though definitely not one like these little ones), Malleus absolutely had to investigate, and despite not being the exact same kind of dragon as he had hoped, he has much in common with the hatchlings.

They're following him around as he delights them with magic, blowing his wicked-looking green fire for a gaggle that are not quite ready to settle down before he comes across the Neuvillette pile.]

.... Oh! Mister Neuvillette! I almost hadn't recognized you beneath those hatchlings.

[He is not much more than a hatchling himself, but these babies make him seem practically fully grown!]

Ah, Master Malleus.

[He does not straighten up, if only because he cannot do so without disloging one or more of the fairy dragon hatchlings currently sleeping on top of him. Neuvillette is already familiar with Malleus thanks to their paths crossing in the library and several shared interests but has not had too much occasion to have any in-depth conversations with him yet...

He does, however, recognise the other as a fellow dragon, even if they are not of the same type. There is a certain respect inherent in that recognition.]

You will pardon me if I do not get up.

[It would be quite impossible.]

[Malleus will forgive him for not getting up. Even he has been having more trouble than he expected keeping the little ones entertained in a way that does not end up in him being nipped or scraped here or there(thankfully, he is fine enough at healing, he isn't too worried).]

I do not mind at all. The priority is the hatchlings, hm?

[He squats next to Neuvillette, smiling.]

I suppose I should have expected to see you here. I have never seen so many dragons in one place...!

Nor have I.

[Vishaps were too far removed to be called dragons at all, anymore, and though he sometimes gets faint glimpses in his mind of times gone by when those like him were greater in number he does not know that there was ever anything quite... like this.

He seems fairly content where he is.]

If you sit for a minute, I am sure you will find yourself in much a similar situation. [A quick glance is sent Malleus' way.] They may be glad of an extra bed.

[Being under the water is not a concern of Neuvillette’s, given his natural affinity for it. He’s like a human-shaped lantern in the relatively dim light of the underwater caverns as he carefully explores them, with the horns at the back of his head glowing faintly blue, and he takes his time to pick up shells and useful-looking rocks to take back and give to the mermaids.

The dolphins seem to love him, congregating around him wherever he goes, and it does not seem that he minds at all. He will even send them off to pester anyone who seems to be looking longingly at how he has managed to gather so many of the creatures around him.]

It would seem that I have more than enough. [He comments mildly as he offers a couple of bags of mixed shells and minerals to someone passing by.] Would you like these?

[Sisu is also swimming around. She's in her dragon form and whenever the're dark she activates her ability to glow. She's also been playing with the dolphins a lot - they seem to enjoy the softness of mane.

When Neuvillette approaches, Sisu gives him a wave.]

Are you sure? I think the more items you return the better the rewards.

I have little interest in greater rewards. All of my needs are currently met.

[He does offer the items to her again, seeming content enough indeed to hand them over if she would like to take them. If not, he doesn't mind keeping them himself in any case. Said 'greater reward' would likely go on a gift or some such thing for Navia, or a sweet treat that she might enjoy.]

I find myself in places like this primarily for the experience of it.

Okay, then! I'll gladly take them.

[She takes them gently, smiling widely.]

I completely understand, though. I also like exploring just because I can see what all is out here. The water here is so deep, there's plenty to explore.

Precisely. If I happen to stop to take part in something like this then it takes nothing from me.

[Often it serves to enrich his experience of an area or its people, or what he might find there.]

I have journeyed into deeper waters, but the dangers increase as one moves further from the surface.
