Okay, Eliza was alone in the apartment so now was probably the best time to try this.
Door locked? Check! Spooky but not very scary movie? Check! Remote on the coffee table aimed at the TV so she can use it without her hands? Check! Pen to poke the remote's buttons with to make it easier for her to use? Check!
And so Wolf Eliza took the pen in her mouth and turned the TV on with her remote. Time to make sure that the time in the Fairy kingdom wasn't a fluke.
Eliza did a big stretch and then jumped on the couch settling in to watch the movie.
Max came home about thirty minutes after Eliza started watching the movie. He opened the door and walked in. He blinked seeing the wolf on the couch but he smiled after. He joined her and looked at the movie.
"Oh I love this one. Good pick," He said softly, not wanting to interrupt the movie too much with his arrival.
Eliza flinched, flattening herself to the couch as if trying to sink into the cushions. Damn it she was not expecting anyone back so soon. It was nice that he was pretending this was normal...even if that somehow made it even weirder for her.
She scooted back a little, giving Max space to sit on the couch if he wanted it.
Eliza's ears lowered half way as she thought way to hard about that question. Could she eat popcorn like this? Probably but she was going to have to do a google search or something about wolf diets later wasn't she?
And could she eat it without leaving crumbs all over the couch? Probably not... but that's what vacuums were for right?
So Eliza nodded. Yes she would like some popcorn please.
Max snapped and two bowls of popcorn appeared between them. Normal bowls. No dog bowls thankfully. He grabbed a handful of his and ate it. He summoned a drink for himself too and took a sip.
"This is nice. We should do movie nights in the future maybe," He said casually as he kept watching the movie.
Eliza's tail started wagging as she tried to fish out some popcorn with her paw with limited success. She was chewing on one she did manage to grab when Max asked about making this a regular thing. She nods, yeah that sounds like a good idea.
Although next time they can do this when she can actually talk and use her hands, that would probably make this easier.
Just the Vanessa showed up on screen and she growled.
"Boooo! Fuck you. Get off the screen, bitch," He heckled the Vanessa and grinned at Eliza. "All tits and cruelty that one. Fuck her with something on fire, hard, and sand papery, am I right?"
Eliza nodded, growling at the screen again, even working up to a bark which she hadn't meant to do, she turned back to the popcorn hoping Mac wouldn't noticed she'd done something as ridiculous as spooking herself.
Maybe she turn human again, so she could just be silly with Max instead of trying to pantomime being silly in this wolf body.
Max laughed seeing the startle from the bark and then barked himself to just have fun. He leaned back into the couch and watched the movie more intently.
"I get why you hate her, by the way. I hate her. No. I despise her. And I hope one day I get to see you kill her, again."
Eliza whined when Max barked too, she was about to slink off the couch and go into the other room to transform when Max started talking.
She sat up and stared at Max, the movie with it's Vanessa for gotten in the light of this new info. Her past self had gotten to kill the vampire Vanessa from their world? She pawed at Max's leg hoping he'd tell her more.
Eliza was trying to slip though the crowd to get away. She was mad at the ghost taking advantage of Esme, mad at how it had spoken to her, mad that Esme was going to help him anyway, and mad at herself for not being able to do anything about it.
She was also afraid, she hadn't meant to transform, or grab the possessed Emse like that. By the time her brain had caught up to the rest of her she had already done it.
Fine, FINE. She might have been a brute about it but she had made sure Esme was okay and made sure Max knew what was happening now she just need to get hone and calm down before she loses her temper even worse and hurts someone.
"Ugh I need to get out of here already." She growls to herself as she kept walking. The one good thing about this form was that she was bigger, and looked like she could snap someone in half if she wanted. She didn't know how to feel about the extra hair though, the blond dusting on her arms and streaks in her hair.
Whatever, it would be gone once she was back to normal anyway.
Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
Evangeline calls out to her before registering that Eliza looks any different. Even once she does notice the changes - the added height and muscle, the hair - she doesn't hesitate to approach her.
"Bad day?"

Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
"Uh..." Eliza has no idea how to respond to any of this. But hey at least she doesn't look mad at herself any more! "You sound like you don't like them."
"Are you not human either?"
Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
She lifts her hand and wiggles it like 'kinda'. "No, I'm human. And humans are... fine? But they're fragile, and I have a long history of the humans around me dying on a near-daily basis. So it's kind of hard for me to get attached to them. I'm working on it here, and I'm better than I was, but..."
Still kind of a struggle.
Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
"Oh god... I mean I guess you having trouble getting attached makes sense then." Eliza said sympatheticly.
"For me, I was told I was cursed but not how, so I stayed away from people in case the curse hurt them." Eliza explained. "And well... I guess I know what it is now at least?"
Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
"There are way worse curses than growing hair and getting super tall and buff. -I mean, I'm sure there's more to it than that, but this part doesn't seem so bad?"

Oh. Wait. He was just hamming it up for her wasn't he? Okay.
Eliza took another piece of popcorn in her mouth and whipped her head to throw it at the TV.

Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
"Yeah... some of the ghosts are assholes."
Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
Why is she shrinking away from her like that???
Re: Hymn for the Missing - "Wolfman" Eliza for Evangeline
"You don't think this is..." Eliza waved at herself. "Freakish?"
