All those months of work are paying off, and Rinku and Mary have moved to Solarpeak! Their new house, a beach-stilt-style house in walking distance from the Summer Guild building, is bright inside and out, and today there are balloons and games set up underneath the house and a wide-open door up the stairs leading into it.

Anyone who knows Rinku and/or Mary will have been invited to party; housewarming gifts are accepted but not required, and food is provided, ordered in from nearby restaurants. The bedrooms are closed but everywhere else is open, and if you need to get away from the party, you can go sit outside... or if Mecchan isn't scared of you, he might let you chill in his room for a while. Otherwise, have fun with the games, the art room, the music room, the food, and anything else!

I dunno! I've tried a bunch of different kinds. I know Mecchan likes the shrimp and mayo one, and Hina-chan just tries to drink the sauce cup that comes with the bread sticks.

I guess not! I have favourites for some things, but some things it's just fun no matter what. Even if it's pumpkin pizza or something.

Eh? Oh, those things like jokes people share around and sometimes change a bunch as they share them along. I don't know why they're called that, it's some fancy psychology thing?

[Rinku pulls her phone out and starts scrolling through something. She lights up, clicks on a page, and hands over the phone.

There's a page full of variations on a photo of a jelly cat pawing at a shop window. Some have different captions like "me when maple quail is 3 moon coins" or "let him in," some edit what the cat is looking at, one replaces the cat with Mayor Michael making a similar pose.]

See? Everyone makes it different, and it changes with every person!

Hmm. I see. And anyone can make a meme?

Yeah! I think that's the point. People bring what they see and what they think into it! It's kinda like how when you sample someone's music, you're using it to make your own thing.
