Party time, party time

All those months of work are paying off, and Rinku and Mary have moved to Solarpeak! Their new house, a beach-stilt-style house in walking distance from the Summer Guild building, is bright inside and out, and today there are balloons and games set up underneath the house and a wide-open door up the stairs leading into it.

Anyone who knows Rinku and/or Mary will have been invited to party; housewarming gifts are accepted but not required, and food is provided, ordered in from nearby restaurants. The bedrooms are closed but everywhere else is open, and if you need to get away from the party, you can go sit outside... or if Mecchan isn't scared of you, he might let you chill in his room for a while. Otherwise, have fun with the games, the art room, the music room, the food, and anything else!

Oh, that's great! Like the parties Yoi-chan used to have when she was here! She put a lot of work into the fireworks shows.

I think it looks great. I can try to help get some stuff from SEAKEA if you want. Stay the night, grab stuff, come back? Sounds easy, right?

Yeah, it sounds like a ton of fun! I like when they have quests that are just doing something exciting. Like that time they opened that gacha shop and we had to try to win a bunch of stuff.

Oh man. I do too. Like sure, the dangerous ones gotta get done but the fun ones are the ones I like the best.

And they have a haunted house thing with the maze too, right? I bet that'd be fun! I hope it's not too scary or Mecchan'll make them cry, though.

You could always ask before going in. Maybe they got some less scary ones around?

I'll try! I know he cries at a lot of things, but maybe it'll help him to get used to stuff if it's not too scary... do you know anything about making people less nervous?

I wish I did. Like, it took me a whole bunch of adventures with spider demons for me to be a little less scared of spiders but...I still am.

Like right now, I got a weird computer in my brain from Relius that makes me less nervous but I don't recommend that.

Eh? They couldn't take it out of you even with all the stuff everyone was doing?

They left it in. They were worried it would be worse to break it. Like, it isn't that big a deal. At least, I don't think it is. But we're working on taking care of it.

Huh... I guess if it's not a big deal. It just makes you less nervous and doesn't try to hurt anyone?

Pretty much. It like reboots my brain if I get too stressed. Which I'm trying to get it to stop doing. Well, do it less I guess. It just sucks because it worries everyone and it makes me forget what we were talking about.

That does sound worrying! But I guess if it's actually trying to help... so they couldn't take it out but then they tried to fix it instead? I'm guessing since I wasn't there, but. And now it doesn't get how to help so it treats you like a computer?

Yeah. That's about right.

[Hina squeaks and takes off from Rinku's head to fly around MK curiously.]

I don't think you can fix it by biting, Hina-chan. It doesn't come out like that.

[This is the sound of a disappointed baby Zubat who has one solution to everything and that is to drink blood. She perches on MK's shoulder and leans on him instead.]

[MK smiles and lets Hina rest on his shoulder. He reaches up to scratch under her chin...well where her chins should be.]
