| It Had to Be Glue | There's a strange sticky substance that has been forming near the springs, and I've found that it's helping some warm weather herbs grow while the substance is on the ground, even in the coldest temperatures. I'm curious about it, and will pay whoever brings me back six jars of it to study. | The substance is a naturally forming glue from the residue of ice-slugs and fertilizer that works as a growth formula for anything planted within it, and can be used as a natural adhesive and gum for cosmetics! Run around a track with various obstacles while carrying the person you love the most. While the contest is called Partner Carrying, it could also be a sibling or a friend, too. Some of the obstacles are a little bit muddy, but what's a little mess when you're having fun? | The obstacles are filled with different things made with what nature provides, such as going through mud, jumping over logs, jumping over logs into water, and various other things. Be creative! How someone carries their partner is up to them, but the one carried isn't allowed to touch the ground during the race. Getting wet or muddy is naturally allowed. People are allowed to partner up even with strangers, the natives running the competition won't do a background check. | 2000 Moon Coins for making past the obstacle course and a "Clean Mud Off Things Instantly" Spell for participating |
| Shake your Groove Thing | There's a dancing troupe in town, and they claim that their dances can stimulate hearts and bring joy and blessings to all. They were seen escaping to the Spring Segment. | They're thieves! They're using a mind-altering dance spell during their performances. The goal is to sabotage them and reveal to the world that these jerks can't dance at all, and break the spell with a real one! If the quest taker doesn't know how to dance, they'll be given a pair of dancing shoes that will let them move it, move it for fifteen minutes to break the spell. | ❗High Risk Quest❗ A Hundred Needles | Cacti are usually something you find from the desert, right? Well, I saw a bunch of them in the Spring Segment. Not just that, but they kept changing places every time I looked away. It's like one of those games where you need to freeze before someone spots you moving... but with cacti? In the spring segment? I was too afraid to approach them any more than that, but maybe it's worth checking out what they are? | Cactifolk are monsters that have risen from the Darkness due to someone leaving their dead cactus too close to the barrier. They move every time no one's looking by uprooting themselves from the ground and creating a set of legs and arms. Some of them even create faces. If someone gets too close to investigate, they stop pretending to be regular cacti and attack with needle projectiles. These needles cause a lot of damage and having a hundred of them stuck to somebody will kill them (99 does not, but it's really painful) due to the needles having an essence that will activate at that moment. When desperate, they will try to "hug" their opponents - by body slamming into the opponent they're fighting. Their needles act as a good defense against weapons, but magic does at least decent damage. To deactivate any of them, one must flip them upside down and pluck out a needle... or alternatively tickle them with a feather. The dark energy surrounding the monsters will make otherwordly abilities less effective against them. And yes, these are inspired by a certain recurring Final Fantasy monster. | 9000 Moon Coins |

| Crawling In My Skin CW/TW: plant parasites | Strange Plant monsters have been appearing all over the north area of the Jungle of Judgement. These monsters, like everything else, don't approach the Temple of Life, but they do approach anyone who wanders away from the place. A friend of mine got touched by one and now has a weird mark on his hand - and it keeps spreading! Please help me figure out how to help him. | Parasite Plants are monsters that will attempt to leave their mark on people. The mark starts spreading, attempting to take over their whole body and eventually root the person into the ground. It hurts quite a bit as the mark slowly spreads. It will take approx. 2 weeks for the plant to take over one's body completely. Samples suggest that keeping the mark in cold water will halt the growth - and making a potion out of the leaves of the monsters will kill it completely. The plants themselves are very weak against cold things. | 5000 Moon Coins |
| Motion Motivation | On the shores of the Great Ocean Lake, there are a variety of seashells. One seashell out of twenty is a special one that is essential for medicine that help with motion sickness. You will recognize a seashell with the right properties by touching them and feeling a cool sensation coming from the shell. I would travel to find them myself, but I am a victim of motion sickness and the beach can be a little dangerous without powers. But I will reward you with the potion and some moon coins for the trouble. | The seashells come in a variety of colors and shapes. There are other seashells with magical properties as well, as mermaids who come up occasionally would tell: one that lets you sense when rain is about start (feels moist despite having been in the sand for a good while) and another that can turn seawater into something one can drink (feels soft, despite having a hard shell). Like the one mentioned in the quest, these seashells are one in twenty regular. | 1000 moon coins per five seashells, motion sickness medicine |
| Not My Wonderwall | Do not trust the oasis that appears on the Deserter's Desert. I was taking a break on a beach near the Lighthouse when suddenly I started feeling thirsty. Instead of going back to the airship, I noticed an oasis nearby and decided it would be faster to go there than back. But once I got there, I was almost eaten by what looked like an octopus. In the middle of the sand! The oasis was apparently an illusion it can create, since it disappeared right after. A dangerous beast. Might be a good idea to get rid of it! | Sand Octopi are a giant species of octopus that live in the sand. They come to the surface only to lure animals and people alike into their illusions that look like a refreshing oasis. Once the prey is close enough, they will reveal themselves from the sand and try to eat whoever is there. Their tentacles feel rough and have the ability to stun someone - but if you slice them off they won't at least grow back! | 3000 Moon Coins |

Much like the lake's restorative powers, this gold will fix anything and leave a golden mark in its wake. We've heard there's an art called 'kintsugi' where you fix broken things like this. We would most definitely like some of this special gold, more of which can be probably found from the forest, but recently there's been more monsters roaming around. We will reward people for any rocks they can find with the gold in them. | Kintsugi Rocks can be found all around the lake and north of it, as they have been formed by the lake's healing powers. The melted gold can be used on various items as well as on people (the scars will turn golden). It's said to bring good luck to anyone and protect the cracks and wounds from reopening. The gold attracts Apprentice Crows: a species of crows that are learning under the Warlock Crows and do small elemental spells, like conjure fire or water at anyone with any sticks they find. | 4000 Moon Coins, Bottle of Liquid Kintsugi Gold |
| That's My Internet | The areas near Autumn Segment have had very bad connection lately. Anyone who lives nearby the river surrounding the city will tell you about how they've died in games due to bad connections. No one else believes me, but I swear every time connections go bad, these bioluminescent moths appear out of nowhere. Could they be connected to the case? Hehe, see what I did there? | Wi-Fi Moths are a species of special moths that feed on a variety of electricity and data connections by landing on wires and boxes that produce them. This time they have taken an interest in internet connections. A few moths wouldn't pose a problem, but there's a huge amount of them flying around. They escape to the Autumn Segment after they've eaten they share, glowing bright in their bioluminescent light. Capturing them will allow the person to boost their internet connection for a while, especially if they keep feeding the moths electricity (like full batteries). | 500 Moon Coins, Wi-Fi Moth |
| ❗High Risk Quest❗ I Came In Like a Landslide CW/TW: buried alive | Due to the increase in rain, Autumn Segment also has had an increase in mud. This, in turn, has created landslides. They're threatening the barriers built for natives to safely walk outside. On top of that, some people have mysteriously been swallowed by mud, never to be seen again. It's like a part of the landslides are alive. We need power holders to help out to manage the mud as well as they can. | The mud has been corrupted by the Darkness, making it into various Mud Monsters. These monsters take different shapes and forms to attack people and eat them to make their mud even stronger. People stuck inside the mud can survive for a while due to small air pockets inside the mud, but the longer it takes, the more likely they drown or suffocate. Their weaknesses and strengths are easily relatable to regular mud. The hard thing about the monsters is there are a lot of them, usually even at the same time. The dark energy surrounding the monsters will make otherwordly abilities less effective against them. | 9000 Moon Coins |

| Under(wear)cover Mission CW/TW: Public Nudity | A casino in the Red Light District is hosting a competition, where you play with your clothes on the line instead of your money - but if you win you get a million Moon Coins. It's basically Strip Betting. The problem is, they're cheating and we know it. We need people to join in on the competition and find evidence of the staff playing dirty. The worst part is, if you lose all your clothes, they will kick you out into the street naked. Don't ask how I know... | The clothes you bet with start with accessories and proceed to underwear at the end. Giving up during the contest will lead to the same results as losing, except you at least have some clothes on your back. City Crime Quests
This questboard on an app on the phone and is only unlockable if your character has received a (handwaved) code for it from one of the crime organizations or just criminals of Nightwake. Another way is to hack your way in if you know it exists.
You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonably way for your character to get there.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.
Should players doing these quests wish for IC consequences, they may report their character here - or just assume that NPC law enforcement characters are on a lookout for them.

I will leave stolen goods at specific locations marked on the app, so you can get them from those places. Later I will post a location to pick up your payment. | This person does a lot of robberies and there's a lot to be framed. | The Ace of Spades | Here's a list of people my boss wants to have beaten up. It's too much of a hassle, but I bet there are people on here who could do it for me. You don't need to kill anyone, just make sure they feel the punishment and leave an Ace of Spades card next to their beaten up form. These people have angered the boss, but not enough to kill them yet. [It takes a bit of maneuvering - and in that time, the next pair reaches the top of the wall and promptly jumps down into the mud pool! Mud splashes everywhere in the radius, but luckily Hijikata and Lyney are too high up to get hit.
While they're on the way down, another pair reaches the top and yells for the first jumpers to get out of the way, but they're struggling to leave the muddy pit. Hijikata looks smug.]
That was a good call!
[Granted, just as they reach solid ground, the mud-bathers are ready to carry on, and the pursuing pair follows their example, making Hijikata dash hard to get out of the splash zone and succeeding for the most part - a few splashes may have gotten on him and his "rider", but he's undeterred.
Ahead of them is a water-filled pool with logs floating in it, however the first muddy pair racing alongside them ignores those and plows right into the water, apparently happy for the opportunity to wash the mud off before it hardens. Hijikata sees the opportunity to pull past them while staying dry... but he's not accounting for the logs rolling and drifting in the wrong direction under him!]

[For a start, though, he'll try the logs! The first one is pretty well-balanced, and he manages to run across it without flailing or staggering, but the second one immediately starts rolling around its axis.]

[If only he had the balance of an autumn power holder! Regardless, he fiercely leans against the motion and adjusts his footing, more or less running at an angle - and out of partly sheer stubbornness, partly Lyney's fast uptake in likewise distributing his weight in a helpful way, he does manage to get to the end and jump onto the last log, which doesn't roll as badly.
By the time he lands them on dry ground, they've pulled past their competitors in the water, but Hijikata is a little out of breath from the effort - only for a moment, though. He's a samurai who trains his body every day; he has stamina left to spare!]
Okay, what now - ah!
[It's a huge staircase made of hay bales! Each "step" is about half as tall as Hijikata, which means he'll have to pull himself up with Lyney on top of him - an exercise in sheer strength.]
You wouldn't happen to be a spring power holder, would you?
[If he were, maybe he could discreetly float himself a little! But if not, no matter. Hijikata prides himself in his strength as much as in his speed and endurance, after all.]

[ All he can really offer are words of encouragement alongside his keen senses, shifting his weight on Hijikata's back whenever he can to help the man keep his balance or lighten the loard wherever he could. It wasn't much, but it had to be better than simply being dead weight. ]
[ He grimaces at the staircase, frowning a bit as his mind scrambles in thought. ]
I am, but my current powers are too weak to be able to help... buuut, I might be able to give you a little boost in each step.
[ Taking out a deck of cards, he palms one in his hand so only Hijikata can see, before flicking it to land neatly on the next step he needs to take. ]
Just step on each card as you go up and you'll get a little boost. Don't worry, it won't be enough to ruin your shoes, promise.

[He's about to find out as he pulls both of them up and stands on it! If it's something like a real-life video game jump boost, he'll take full avail of the upwards momentum - he's been through the Gigaman simulator in the Temple of Life multiple times, he knows how to do this!
With this method, they make it to the top of the hay stairs in record time, with the audience making impressed sounds - whether at Hijikata's strength or at Lyney's card trick, it's hard to say. Otherworlders aren't prohibited from using magic, so it's not like they'd get disqualified if someone noticed (in fact, many natives are keen on seeing some of their abilities, be it in terms of local or native magic)!
Waiting for them is a zipline to carry them down to the ground, but it has no seat, only two grips to hold on to. If Hijikata can't keep a grasp on it, they'll fall into the deep mud pit below!]

[He'll at least wipe the sweat off his hands first!]

[ There's an inward grimace, however, at the next part of the course; he knows that's going to be a tough one and unfortunately he doesn't even have the strength to offer to swap positions for this part. Not unless they want to go for a dip in the mud. ]

[He purchased the potion from the Better, Stronger, Cheaper shop a good while ago and has just been keeping it in his Hammerspace Purse along with all his other magical items, weapons, camping gear etc. - why not carry everything everywhere when the bag is so small and never gets heavier?]

[Once his "rider" signals his readiness, he grasps the zipline handles with full confidence. Under sounds of admiration from the crowd, they soar over the mudpit! While the potion guarantees the success of the user's next endeavour, it doesn't lend extra strength or other powers, so Hijikata really senses the strain. His arms feel about ready to rip off or pop out of their sockets... but in the next moment, they're on the ground! There's a stopper to halt the zipline, which spares him a messy manual brake with his feet. He simply lets go, rolls his shoulders to reset them, and allows himself to briefly bask in the audience's hooting.]
We've got to be close to the end now!
[And indeed, there seems to only one more obstacle section ahead: A playground-like area that'll require them to walks across see-saws, spinning wheels, and similar installations.]

[ Someone hasn't been by the shops yet, so a few of the more unique offerings of this land don't ring a single bell in his head. Terrible, for someone trying to build up an information base. But even without knowing for himself, it's not terribly hard to make a guess at what that drink was supposed to do, which makes it sound like just the lifeline they needed. ]

[ His grip tightens again, and he sure does hope Hijikata's grip holds as well. Maybe that's where the luck's kicking in- ]

[ Lyney's got just enough reflexes in him to avoid getting suddenly crushed under Hijikata, but he takes his own bang to the knee and elbow from the unexpected crash, wincing at the spike of pain from it. Nothing's broken at least! ]

["Those losers" are having varying success at catching up with them: One pair couldn't handle the strain of the zipline and fell into the mud pool below, much to the entertainment of the crowd, while the next pair is currently strategising about how to handle the challenge. Both might catch up with them if they can't move past this obstacle in time!]

[ But for now, he ignores the pain from his own injuries, delicately patting Hijikata's shoulder in encouragement as he glances back at the other competitors and quickly estimates their progress time. They could still do this. He wanted to encourage the taller man in his ambitions and get that win. ]

He awaits the right moment to take a big step from the spinning structure onto the see-saw, which of course promptly lowers under him - but, having anticipated that, he manages to walk the narrow wooden bar from one end to the other, mustering a gradual adjustment of the angle rather than a sudden dump.
A few small trampolines follow, and he succeeds as utilising the bounce momentum well enough to jump from one to the next - one landing doesn't quite succeed, but instead of crashing wholesale again, he's able to land on his feet after staggering off the trampoline's side, which makes him wince and hiss, but get back on and continue nonetheless.
The following slide's stairs are an easy enough climb compared to the hay bales, though he's really feeling his arms and shoulders by now (not to mention the spots he hit in the fall and in the misstep just now), and once he slides down with Lyney, the finishing line is right in front of them!]

[ It's a shame that they can't swap places; Lyney's well capable of taking on obstacle courses like this, but he hasn't yet worked up to a strength level where he'd be able to handle someone of Hijikata's size for an extended period of time. But witnessing Hijikata trying his absolute best after each slip and trip gives him an itch of guilt that he should work on improving himself there. ]
