DAY
By day, Daigo Dojima wanders around Nightwake looking for anything that might still seem familiar to him. It's less that the city has changed and more that he has. He does his usual routine when in a 'new' place and goes around making small talk with business owners.Horror Errands
He can also be found looking over the quest board in town. He doesn't really have his feet under him yet, but having something useful to do would be nice.
Otherwise... he just ends up fishing in the park again. He's done a lot of fishing in the past four years, and it takes him into a distracted, almost meditative state. (That should definitely be disturbed.)
He thinks bringing some cat food to an old lady should be an easy task, but soon finds himself ejected from the airship station by an angry red demon. Literally sent flying, he lands on the gravel outside with a groan...NIGHT
By night, Daigo Dojima heads into downtown Nightwake. He hasn't been back to Tokyo in years now, and he gazes around at the nightlife quietly, filled with nostalgia. Eventually, he makes his way into a club that is loud, with flashing lights and dancing people. He gets a drink and finds a wall to lean back against, where he just observes the dancing and lets the music vibrate his tired bones.WILDCARD
Happy to roll with anything, or write you a starter. CR meme comment.

Horror quests
Curious about Ellipsa, Koro has been going around exploring. Curiosity has somehow led him to an airship station at some point. The first thing he senses is the presence of an infernal being when he arrives, but he doesn't even have the time to put his guard up as he sees something dive straight at him??]
What theβ
[Instinctively, Koro holds his arms out and manages to catch a man, so out of nowhere that he actually steps back a little despite being able to hold the person easily. Koro looks around, as perplexed as his stoic face can show.]
Okay I did say earlier that it would be nice if a cutie flew into my arms but I didn't mean it literally.

Who--
[ But the angry demon is roaring and stomping after them. A shrill little old lady voice calls out an apology. ]
Never mind.
[ Daigo returns to action mode and reaches into his leather jacket for his gun without stopping to ask to be put down. ]

Koro can only stare in confusion towards the direction the man is aiming. A red blur flies towards them and abruptly lands, causing the ground to shake, before stomping towards the two. If the man in Koro's arms is shooting at the demon, it doesn't seem to be having any effect.]
What in the...?
[A large, red, horrifying creature stands before them, with razor sharp teeth and a powerful body. It appears to grin.]
Ah. A brother. Good, good. Keep him still while I tear his soul out and rip his flesh from his bone.
[Koro freezes. It...can sense other demons? Shit. His grip on the man does indeed tighten, but the way Koro slowly starts stepping backwards with his emotionless expression slowly shifting into concern indicates he has no interest in assisting with such a violent action.]
no subject
No tearing, no ripping.
[ He can get back to the guild easily with the teleport crystal, but he also wants to lead this menace away from the old lady at the airship station until the guild arrives to take care of this... What the hell is he supposed to do with a demon??? ]
I'm warning you.
no subject
Haha! Indeed! Give it up, human. You have no chance against two of us!
[Koro grits his teeth. The demon keeps spurting out his true identity. Regardless, when the demon starts heading towards said human, Koro approaches quicker, fast enough to get between them two, his back facing the armed man.]
You're not getting anywhere near him.
no subject
Don't get yourself hurt on my account!
[ He also can't get a shot on big red... ]
no subject
[Koro stands his ground. He doesn't want the other to get hurt on his account either.]
Why do you defend him? You and I are the same! Do you think you can have him all to yourself? I saw him first, you know! Regardless of who you are, I won't let you stand in my way!
[Ugh does this guy ever shut up??]
no subject
He hurries the volunteers from the Autumn Guild, concerned for the other man. ]
This way, come on!
Park
While the frisbee that had been thrown and suddenly arced toward the gentleman fishing at the lake sailed harmlessly over his head, Koromaru, who had been racing toward the disc and following the trajectory, decided it was going to use said gentleman's back and head as a spring board and launch himself at the frisbee... and land right into the lake with the disc in his mouth.
Minato sighed and ran over to the lake edge.
"Sorry, sir," He panted softly. "Koro-chan, get out of the water! You're disturbing the fishes!"
Re: Park
"Don't worry about it... I wish I were that excited about frisbee," he joked.
He brushed some dirt off the collar of his jacket with a vague frown. Did he get it all?
no subject
To which Koromaru walked right up to the fisherman and rested a paw on his knee and a tilt of his head. "Arf!"
We think that means, I'm sorry but who can say? Minato didn't actually speak dog.
no subject
He can't possibly know how smart Koro really is, but he's willing to play along with the premise regardless. He's not the kind of adult to tirade at a teen and his dog. He saves that kind of energy for the moments that actually deserve it.
"You two live near the park, or are you just visiting?"
no subject
Koromaru barked again and placed his paw onto Daigo's extended hand. Cute, Minato even managed to snap a picture really quick.
"Visiting," He answered. "We live in Nightwake normally. What about you? Are you native or from another world, too?"
no subject
So he was here fishing and trying to resist the urge to go live in a shack out in the segments by himself. His self-effacing smile and laughter are just a little bit pained. He would be keeping up appearances better if he had gotten a haircut and shaved his beard. But he tries anyway,
"I'm not sure yet whether I want to stay in Nightwake again or if I want to spend time in the countryside."
no subject
"Second visit though, huh? I say just go with the flow. Moving around isn't so bad, either."
no subject
"I've always lived in Tokyo," he observed. "So Nightwake feels familiar, if much smaller... But people need help out in the Segments much more often. If I'm staying, I'd rather be of help."
Really, Minato had the best solution to just let it be as it may. Go where the work is. The hesitance is Daigo's own: emotionally caught between the familiar problems of city life and the unfamiliar problems of the magical countryside.
