[ Elsa offers a smile to the woman approaching her, and she's just about to explain it when Bruni attempts to answer for himself, his frustrated purple only growing more vibrant, and a little fire starting on top of his headβ€” one that the woman is quick to extinguish with another flurry of ice crystals. ]

Hey now. You know she didn't mean it like that.

[ She looks back up at Frieda with an apologetic smile, a slight shake of her head. ]

He doesn't belong to me; he just happens to be a friend.

[ Elsa holds Bruni out toward her, but not before giving him a look that clearly says behave. Then, she smiles again. ]

This is Bruni. He's an elemental spirit of fire. Where I come from, he's the elemental spirit of fire. I'm Elsa. [ She neglects to add on that she, in many ways, is just like the lizard in her hand. ] And you are?

[Oh..! Frieda didn't expect fire from Bruni after seeing Elsa's ice magic. She wonders if he's a tiny dragon (so smooth and spikeless, though!), but then Elsa explains, and she bows her head in apology, albeit smiling.]

I'm sorry, Bruni, I didn't realise what an important person you are! There are no elemental spirits in my world.

[Sure, he's still a little creature - and a very endearing one -, but if he's also the embodiment of fire in Elsa's homeworld, that's rather remarkable!]

My name is Frieda. It's nice to meet you two!

[She lifts her head up at the sky, where jungulls continue to circle.]

I wonder what has them so angry... my best guess is that they see the people in the forest as invaders.

[Is it really right for them to drive out or kill the birds, then? Frieda understands the frustration of having hard-won land made inaccessible again that the people are facing, but in some part of mind a restless pair of scales is constantly weighing the sins of everyone around her, trying to make the reality she experiences here align with her ideology of non-aggression.

It's a lot harder when the parallels are so diffuse - for one, the old power holders' greed brought about the calamity that forced all remaining people behind the barrier around the city, much like her people live within the safety of their Walls, but the vast majority are powerless and innocent of the Tragedy of Greed. Surely, it can't be wrong to help them.]
