[ Magical water that could heal anything sounded a little too good to be true. But Cherry still purchases a rain coat and boots, and sets out for the lake, because healing water of any degree would be useful to have in her back pocket. (metaphorically speaking. her dress doesn't have pockets.) ]

It's a rather lovely evening, isn't it? [ Though much clearer than she expected it to be, given that they're waiting for rain... maybe they both read the weather app incorrectly? Or clouds could be on their way... ] Have you been to this lake during the daytime? [ An attempt at small talk, as they settle into a spot along the shoreline to wait for this supposed rain. ]

[ Skylark's here for similar reasons too. If it really does have healing properties, it'd be useful for the clinic to have some on hand, not to mention keeping some back at the apartment just in case. ]

Oh, yeah. I come here to fish sometimes.

[ She's familiar with Skylark - they work together in the same clinic, after all, so they've crossed paths on some occasions - but this is her first time really getting to spend time with him. ]

That sounds lovely! I have heard fishing can be quite exhilarating at times. [ She clears her throat, then recites in a voice that's only slightly gruffer than usual. ] "There is nothing like it! A battle of wits and nerves, man versus beast!"

I wouldn't put it like that, but I fish mostly to relax myself.

I see! [ It's a little hard for her to picture, admittedly, with that gruff fisherman image so firmly implanted into her brain, but who is she to judge??? ]

I would quite like to give fishing a try. My city resides on a shoreline, but I never had much opportunity to go out on the water.

[ Objectively he knows there are plenty of reasons—he knows a lot of people back home who've never been out on the water himself—but he's curious. ]

We could probably fish to help pass the time until the rain starts, I think I got my fishing rod packed.
