🌸 sunshine, she's here, you can take a break

WHAT: A get-to-know-you-together!

[ The past week, Ayaka and Aether made an announcement on the network, inviting everyone interested to make friends and meet new people to the shinrin-yoku teahouse the following weekend. Well, this is it! The time has come! ]

Welcome
🌸 shinrin-yoku seems like a simple tea house upon entering, with a large wooden sliding door that's already opened for guests to enter.

Ayaka will be the one to personally greet her guests, offering three possible areas for seating– the traditional Inazuman set up, the space for where you can let your legs down and not kneel while seated, or outside in the gardens. Familiar faces may be abound, and guests may like to walk around and see the interior, perhaps even say hello to the manager who is walking around and sniffing people here and there.

For future endeavours, Ayaka informs guests that they may use the shinrin-yoku for business gatherings and meetings. Members of Ayato's committee are more than welcome to use the shinrin-yoku, and may even become a place for exchanging information and the like. The tea house promises to be a safe place to all.

And for this particular gathering, Ayaka is not only serving tea, but also sake. It never hurts to make things more fun!

Konpeito, Truth, or Dare
🌸 All guests, upon entering, will be given a small clear glass container. They will also be presented with a giant bowl containing konpeito. They must take at least one, and as many as they could possibly want, and put it inside their own container. They are told not to eat any for now, but no one's really stopping them from doing so!

At some point during the occasion, a game is announced. Everyone is told to check their konpeito and count how many they have! Now, they must pick a partner and play a couple of rounds of truth or dare with them. Every time they get a turn, whether they pick truth or dare, they can eat a piece of candy! ~~Or eat three or five at the same time~~ Once they've had five rounds, though, then they have to choose another partner and start over until they've finished their konpeito bowls.

There is an added rule to the konpeitos, but not necessarily required to be followed! A white konpeito must have a truth or dare related to family, green for a "favourite", yellow for love or sex, orange for childhood or childlike-ness, and pink for "hate".

Ringo (Ayaka's Eevee) and Taroumaru will be watching people and make sure they aren't cheating! Though sometimes, they may not be looking, and can even be bribed with snacks. Participants who can finish their konpeito in an hour (which we'll conveniently handwave) will receive a box of sakura mochi to take home.

Introduction Bingo
🌸 Guests are given bingo cards to fill up at some point during the afternoon! Pens are also provided, or if they have their own, then that's cool!

Participants may put someone's name twice on any of the squares, but more than that, and it won't count. The objective is to get a blackout by filling out names of people who fit the description! How one does this is completely up to them. They could even slip it into their conversations during the truth or dare games, or just randomly walk up to people and ask them things.

Two Twists and a Lie
🌸 A card is given to participants for them to write two truths and one lie on it, then they have to pin or stick it to the back of their clothing. When someone wants to play, they must first challenge you to a game of janken. If you win, you get to turn the game around and guess which is the lie on their card. If they win, then they're entitled to one guess! If they get it wrong, you have to play janken again.

So, what happens when the person gets it right? The person can now make a rule that the other person has to follow. Whether it means they have to call you "Master", end all their sentences with "yes, please", or some other rule that you can think of! And in case you can't think of anything, there's a box nearby with cute props that you can make the loser wear: cat ears, a cat tail, bunny ears, a bunny tail, a raccoon kigurumi, and some goofy glasses.

[ Nen!! That's too pure?! Shigeru's heart can't take it. It's not how you play it?? But Shigeru can't be bothered to decline such a request. He does smile bright and warm though before nodding. ] I'll make you one. It'll be the best one you'll ever eat.

[ Maybe?! ] Okay. Now I get to ask you something, so, um truth! If you could visit anyone's world from here which three would you pick?

[ The misunderstanding was worth it if it means they get to see Shigeru look like that, all warm and happy. That's a look they'd love to see on his face every day. He so rarely made it when they first met, but now it feels like they see it on him more and more.

Nen's chest fills with warmth. ]

Chipp's! That is number one, because that is where I want to go when we are finished here and everyone must return. I do not want to go back to my world at all, and Chipp has a boss with a son and Miss Hog there. After that... I would like to see your world, and go to a world with Yuuto.

Miss Hog...it sounds nice. Chipp can definitely keep you safe, and I'm sure he'd love to have you there with him! [ If anyone had that capability it's definitely Chipp. ]

That'd be nice. I could take you around the island where I grew up until my powers manifested. My world might have monsters in it but there are still a lot of beautiful places to see, like the floating isles of Armuetia. And you could meet Alex and Shuu two of my coworkers! They'd probably make fun of me the entire time but they're really nice! [ His heart does hurt a little being reminded of just how long it's been since he's seen them both. ]

Could also meet my parents. My mother would definitely spoil you and she's an amazingly good cook. My dad is...strict but he's very nice.

I want to meet your mom and dad.

[ Nen cannot say that enough?? They might not have a mother or father of their own, but the way Shigeru's expression softens a bit when he starts speaking about them is enough to convince Nen that these are important people to him. If meeting them will make Shigeru happy, there's no reason they wouldn't do it.

Floating islands sound interesting too--it has to be a magic then. ]

That's my next dare! Okay? We will visit your world and see your parents.

I think you'd like them and they would love you too. They're both very supportive of me and my friends so I hope one day you can get the chance to meet them!

[ His smile is bright and happy as he huffs out a little laugh. ]

That sounds like a nice dare to me, easily doable, but I don't know if it counts towards this since we can't actually do it. So, um, maybe pick another thing?

[ Should he be worried about what Nen will pick?! He probably should be... ]

Oh... That is a good point.

[ Nen hadn't considered how soon a dare needed to be fulfilled after it's made. Is there a time limit? Or does it just have to be right then? If that's the case... Hmm. ]

I dare you to take a picture of your face. You look very happy, and my photos always come out blurry.

[ A picture?? Of him?! His face even...?! Shigeru looks a little sheepish as he rubs his neck with a smile. There are the beginnings of a blush creeping up on him as he looks away, his hands now fiddling with his phone. ] You-You really want a picture of me? You've never asked me to do that before. Usually, I just take pictures of flowers for you. But if it'll make you happy it's an easy enough dare.

[ Though he will next fiddle with his bangs with a gloved hand before getting to it. His smile and expression are genuine and very happy, there's even a little blush on his cheeks!! He'll forward the picture to Nen's phone shortly after. ]

How's that? Not blurry at all. I can help you take better pictures if you want too. Just say the word and we can spend some time working with it. You're a fast learn so I don't think it'll take you that long to master it.

[ Oh no, that expression is really attractive on him?? It's all sheepish but happy and makes Nen's insides feel a little bit like they're made out of syrup. It's sweet. Asking him for the picture was the right idea--they only wish they'd thought to take a picture of him after they'd asked for a picture, because they want to remember this expression on him as well.

They accept their phone back with eager hands, already starting to clutch it close as a faint greyish tinge rises to their cheeks in their excitement. ]

It's perfect. I'm going to put it with my flowers.

[ What a great honor to be put with Nen's flowers?! Shigeru feels even more embarrassed about that than he really should be, his blush only deepening as he looks away from Nen for a brief second. ]

N-now I'm going to ask you a truth! What's your...favorite flower?

[ Shigeru might know the answer but he wants to make sure, okay?! ]

[ CUTE....cute, cute, cute. Nen wants a picture of that face too--

For now, though, they clutch their phone close and think for the briefest of moments. ]

If I had to pick just one... I think my favourite is the sunflower! That was the first flower I ever found. Kenta showed me when I first arrived on the network--so I bought a whole bunch! But I did not know that cut flowers wilt and die after back then... I bought the wrong kind. So I dried them out, and kept all the seed-babies so I can plant them next spring.

[ Nen is also cute, cute, cute!!! Shigeru just wants to pinch their cheeks because they get so happy when they talk about flowers?! It's adorable and he's glad Nen can make that kind of expression here. He wants to see it on them more. ]

We'll definitely have to plant them in the front yard. Sunflowers are really striking and their seeds are pretty tasty as a snack too.

Yes! But only from the second batch, okay? I don't want to eat any of the first seeds. Oh! And we cannot eat them all. I want to save some and grow more after that And then more after that, too!

[ While they haven't got the idea of a 'memento' down yet, they're at least more possessive about things than they used to be before. The feeling that they want to keep some of those seeds for what they want to do and nothing else is one of the newer feelings Nen's been having lately. The idea of being attached to a material thing as a personal possession is illogical, but...nice. ]

Oh! Of course! How about we buy some separate seeds from the store to eat then? So we won't have to use any of yours. It seems like you're quite attached to the ones you have at home. And I wouldn't want you to feel like you needed to use those for a purpose like that.

[ Besides. Sunflower seeds are super easy to come by so this is really a non-issue. ]

They're the first seeds I ever got to have. They are very important to me.

That sounds perfect! Once we're done here would you like to go to the store to help me get some?

[ Shigeru needs to get stuff for dinner anyway. ]

Hearing that offer causes Nenonen to perk up, bingo sheet clutched to their chest. They nod. ]

Yes please. I will carry the groceries.

[ They're strong enough to do that now, so they want to do it any chance they get. ]

[ Is that not what the Alraune thread is for?! ]

Then it's settled. We can all go shopping together since you came with Chipp. We can't have him going back home alone after all.

[ And Shigeru secretly enjoys the hijinks he and Nen get up, honestly. Also, it's just adorable to watch. ] I think it's your turn to ask me something now!
