WHO: Everyone!! :D
WHAT: A get-to-know-you-together!
WHEN: end of August

WARNINGS: None for now!

[ The past week, Ayaka and Aether made an announcement on the network, inviting everyone interested to make friends and meet new people to the shinrin-yoku teahouse the following weekend. Well, this is it! The time has come! ]

Welcome
🌸 shinrin-yoku seems like a simple tea house upon entering, with a large wooden sliding door that's already opened for guests to enter.

Ayaka will be the one to personally greet her guests, offering three possible areas for seating– the traditional Inazuman set up, the space for where you can let your legs down and not kneel while seated, or outside in the gardens. Familiar faces may be abound, and guests may like to walk around and see the interior, perhaps even say hello to the manager who is walking around and sniffing people here and there.

For future endeavours, Ayaka informs guests that they may use the shinrin-yoku for business gatherings and meetings. Members of Ayato's committee are more than welcome to use the shinrin-yoku, and may even become a place for exchanging information and the like. The tea house promises to be a safe place to all.

And for this particular gathering, Ayaka is not only serving tea, but also sake. It never hurts to make things more fun!

Konpeito, Truth, or Dare
🌸 All guests, upon entering, will be given a small clear glass container. They will also be presented with a giant bowl containing konpeito. They must take at least one, and as many as they could possibly want, and put it inside their own container. They are told not to eat any for now, but no one's really stopping them from doing so!

At some point during the occasion, a game is announced. Everyone is told to check their konpeito and count how many they have! Now, they must pick a partner and play a couple of rounds of truth or dare with them. Every time they get a turn, whether they pick truth or dare, they can eat a piece of candy! ~~Or eat three or five at the same time~~ Once they've had five rounds, though, then they have to choose another partner and start over until they've finished their konpeito bowls.

There is an added rule to the konpeitos, but not necessarily required to be followed! A white konpeito must have a truth or dare related to family, green for a "favourite", yellow for love or sex, orange for childhood or childlike-ness, and pink for "hate".

Ringo (Ayaka's Eevee) and Taroumaru will be watching people and make sure they aren't cheating! Though sometimes, they may not be looking, and can even be bribed with snacks. Participants who can finish their konpeito in an hour (which we'll conveniently handwave) will receive a box of sakura mochi to take home.

Introduction Bingo
🌸 Guests are given bingo cards to fill up at some point during the afternoon! Pens are also provided, or if they have their own, then that's cool!

Participants may put someone's name twice on any of the squares, but more than that, and it won't count. The objective is to get a blackout by filling out names of people who fit the description! How one does this is completely up to them. They could even slip it into their conversations during the truth or dare games, or just randomly walk up to people and ask them things.

Two Twists and a Lie
🌸 A card is given to participants for them to write two truths and one lie on it, then they have to pin or stick it to the back of their clothing. When someone wants to play, they must first challenge you to a game of janken. If you win, you get to turn the game around and guess which is the lie on their card. If they win, then they're entitled to one guess! If they get it wrong, you have to play janken again.

So, what happens when the person gets it right? The person can now make a rule that the other person has to follow. Whether it means they have to call you "Master", end all their sentences with "yes, please", or some other rule that you can think of! And in case you can't think of anything, there's a box nearby with cute props that you can make the loser wear: cat ears, a cat tail, bunny ears, a bunny tail, a raccoon kigurumi, and some goofy glasses.

[That's right, don't question it. You wouldn't get an answer anyway. Aether smiles, as it seems he got an unexpected fan here. A lot of people regard him so highly... Hopefully, he won't fail their expectations.

But then they go back to the bingo.]

Right. Instead of being seen as a hero, I'd rather make a new friend.

[He laughs softly and looks down at the card.]

I'll put your name for... "blue flower charm" and "more than 3 siblings".

[Once that's done, Aether looks at Hijikata again.]

So are your siblings younger? Older than you?

[Again Aether is so down-to-earth!! Hijikata definitely does appreciate that in a renowned hero.]

My siblings are all older. I didn't live with them for long.

[It's a pretty upsetting story, and they're only his half-siblings to begin with, but he doesn't need to dump his whole childhood trauma on Aether! Instead he pats the hilt of the longsword at his hip (he left the two shortswords at home for the occasion - he expected it to be peaceful, but as a samurai he feels kind of naked without having at least one sword on him!).

I left to become a swordsman. What's your occupation, anyway? Do you purely do quests back home?

[That would be the typical adventurer life, wouldn't it?]

[There seems to be a longer story here, but Aether doesn't ask. Maybe one day he'll hear more, for now he will move on and answer Hijikata's question.]

I see... You could say I'm just a traveler who also gets requests from the Adventurer's Guild. [He grins.] I take a lot of quests, but also just try to see as much of the world as I can. There's so many fascinating places in Teyvat.

[Though, he's not doing this only because he wishes to explore the world.]

You're really living that quintessential adventurer life so far! What's your favourite place in Teyvat? In my "other life" I lived in Inazuma, but got to visit Liyue and Mondstadt. I liked them, but there's no place like home.

[A foreign traveler, obviously, will have a less biased perspective!]

[He takes a moment to think about it.]

I've seen many places in Teyvat but... I think Mondstadt has a special place in my heart.

[Being the land of freedom, it's no wonder it feels right to a traveler. But at the same time, the welcoming atmosphere of the city, the people he met there and who grew so dear to him... it all makes him want to come back there as often as he can.

In a way it feels... like it could be his "home" if he ever could have one in Teyvat.]

Mondstadt really is a nice place.

[The cheerful bard from Mondstadt he met on his previous multiverse adventure made him all the more fond of the land of freedom. He's seen Venti flitting about here on Ellipsa too, but he didn't recognise him when they first met and talked. The different timelines struck once again!]

What's your assigned season here, say? Mine's summer.

I kind of miss it. The festivals there were always so much fun and the people very welcoming.

[But for now they're stuck here.]

Oh, it's spring. And that makes me wonder how those seasons are actually assigned.

Spring is a good one! Are you a healer? Or more of a combatant?

[The healing magic is so valuable, but he hasn't actually met a spring power holder who particularly focused on it so far! Then again he hasn't really checked in with the ones he knows in a while.]

This is only my theory, but I think the seasons "choose" us based on our temperament. I'm a summer power holder, and I find that it really suits me.

[He certainly has a lot of volcanic energy, easily infuriated as he is...]

Not a healer, but maybe it would be a good idea to try in that direction.

[He's been mostly relying on the elemental energy that he already had from Teyvat. Becoming a healer would be nice. He could heal himself, help his friends if they got hurt.]

I see... Hmm, maybe I should ask one of my friends if spring really fits me. I think I'm a pretty flexible person so anything would fit.

[Just like with his elemental powers.]

[Hijikata isn't surprised at Aether's versatility. He has huge RPG main character energy! Come to think of his friends, though...]

How'd you get to know Ayaka-chan? I assume you already met her on Teyvat, not only here?

[He smiles.]

Yes. I met Ayaka when I was trying to get an audience with Raiden Shogun. Sadly, things went in a bit... different direction than I thought.

[He basically got into a conflict with a god, thankfully now resolved.]

Was that during the Vision Hunt?

[After talking way too much with the Attack on Titan cast you'd think he'd have learned to stop asking too many questions about other people's worlds, but he can't help but feel invested in this! Teyvat, and specifically Inazuma, feels like yet another home away from home, after all.]

What happened?

[Aether nods.]

When I arrived in Inazuma I was hoping to meet Raiden Shogun somehow and ask her a few questions, but instead Thoma and Ayaka asked me for help as they didn't agree with the Vision Hunt Decree.

[He frowns slightly recalling the events.]

In the end Thoma was arrested and I rushed to save him, making Raiden Shogun mad at me in the process. Thankfully, it was all resolved eventually and the Vision Hunt was no more, but I was really worried there for a moment.

[Raiden is definitely a scary opponent.]

[Wow... Aether really mixed up in the thick of things, it seems - and the Kamisato household too. As a samurai, Hijikata would naturally carry out his shogun's orders - whether in Edo or in Inazuma -, but the Vision Hunt clearly was a pretty scary time for the civilians.]

For being cultural ambassadors the Kamisatos sure are... resourceful, aren't they?

[Ayato beat him in a friendly fight here and seems to have more combat prowess than most of Hijikata's subordinates back home, and Ayaka indicated that she even surpassed him!]

I'm glad you were able to help Thoma. He's a good guy.

They are. Definitely.

[He's witnessed it many times himself. Both Ayaka and Ayato are very strong and skilled in many ways.]

I'm glad, too. Thoma is a very dear friend to me. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him.

[Thoma definitely didn't deserve that much distress.]

But he saved me, too. If he didn't distract Raiden Shogun, I doubt we would be able to get away from there.

[He truly owes him so much.]

[Hijikata smiles. That checks out; Thomas has been very reliable on their joint ventures into the Segments.]

He's not the type who'd leave a debt unpaid for long, is he?

[Come to think of ventures, though...]

It looks like you've got plenty of competent friends around here already, but if you ever need a summer power holder to join you on a quest or whatnot, don't hesitate to call on me.

[Adventuring with the famous yet mysterious traveler should result in some good campfire stories, at the very least!]

That's true.

[Thoma saved him here as well, taking care of him when Aether fell victim to the freezing heart.
