[So: Today sucked. Things didn't go to plan, Saya had died, and many of them were all various degrees of injured. Suffice to say, the mood is quite low for everyone, Chuuya included.

The thing is? When shit is bad like this, there's only one thing to do, in Chuuya's mind. So he'll go from person to person to find whoever's lingering at the research center to offer an invite out and then, just in case he can't find everyone:]


So yeah, that was a bit of a shitshow. I don't know about anyone else, but I could use a drink or five. Anyone else feeling the same can meet up at this bar, all drinks on me, and I do mean all.

Pretty sure Saya would appreciate a drink in her name, at least.


[And there's a location included in the post: a bar not too far from the research center, big enough and casual enough people can go to drown their sorrows... or toast to Saya's (future) recovery. Chuuya's certainly not going to tell people how to feel right now, but he knows how bitter failure and loss can feel, and he also knows it's a little easier to swallow with good company and good drink.

Chuuya himself can be found at the bar counter, with a glass of wine and a cigarette. He'll leave the raising of any toasts to people who knew her more intimately, he's content to just bankroll the drinking and support people in mutual comfort tonight.]

[ he arrives, not sure why. what was he doing? he didn't help. all he did was play the part of a vicious creature. the part that is still within him. rafal has never seen himself as monstrous but he had thought — he had believed he had changed.

had such a change been skin deep? he hovers by the door, unable to step through the threshold. ]

[Flynn sees Rafal and moves towards him quietly as he nods.]

Hey Rafal. Do you want to come in and have a seat with me?

[nilhilistic]

[ rafal hesitates but he does step forward finally, moving towards flynn. ]

I did not think you would be here.

[bravestknight]

I was there with everyone.

[His fight with Saya had been merely to watch Yuri's back and make sure she didn't escape. He had gotten a bit battered but being he was spring and his own powers from his own world gave him healing skills too, it was easier to play the medic after everything was done.]

Did you get injured?

[nilhilistic]

[ rafal huffs. ]

Just a few scrapes. Nothing too bad.

[bravestknight]

Good. I'd hate to think you got injured and dealt with it alone.

[He settles again with his glass of water and gives him a rueful smile.]

Do you want to drink? Or just be here to unwind?

I . . . don't know.

I'm not sure why I came.

[bravestknight]

I see. Well, we can sit together until you feel like you know what you want.

[Flynn falls silent and lets the other have his space mentally for a few moments.]

Mm.

How are you faring?

[bravestknight]

I'm okay.

[He had come face to face with some really intense feelings afterwards. He just relaxes and reaches out to touch his glass and he looks at Rafal.]

I wish things had gone better, but at least I did what I could in the moment.

I think we all hoped for a better conclusion.

[ even rafal. ]

Well, now we just wait. That's probably why things are so tough now.

[Flynn motions to the others around them in various states of upset and depressed.]

Sometimes it's easier to rest and be surrounded by those that went through the same thing.

[He takes a sip of his water and sighs gently.]

Even though it's not meant to be a lesson, I still take it as one so that the next time I try harder to do what I can to make sure others don't feel the way I do right now.
