[Oh. Hm. She hadn't meant it to be a shaming remark, but she wouldn't be surprised if she had come across like that either. She reaches out to pat Ruby's head gently]

Something like that. Most people are safe behind their walls, guilds and the knights. But it makes me happy to know there are worlds where this sort of thing is unthinkable too.

Then it just means that you're a really strong person and that you're always really confident!

[Who else would charge head on into danger when there are monsters around anyway?]

....Or at least, that's what I think. I know I can't do that.

[Judith blinks, and then smiles, reaching over to stroke Ruby's hair again. She was a good kid]

...it takes time. I wasn't always this confident or carefree. I used to worry a lot more.

[starryaied]

[It was then, for a brief moment? She couldn't help but be reminded of a certain someone who might do this sort of thing. She didn't say anything at first and simply let Judith pet his head as she glanced downward. There was a hint of red that appeared on her face before she shook her head.]

I-Is that so? What happened?

[moonstriking]

[Judith smiles warmly as she clasps her hands behind her back]

I found people to rely on. Friends. They became my family too. I realised I didn't have to do everything on my own.

[starryaied]

I'm guessing one of them is Flynn?

[Again, there was a pause as she briefly looked downward. As she thought about the people in her life, all she could do was just wonder how they were doing. While she knew Akane was here, what about her brother? Or Kana? Or Memecho? Or even Miyako?]

...Are there any people from your world too?

[moonstriking]

Yes. He is.

[Judith says it with unabashed openness. Little by little, her world keeps growing with people who have the same feelings she does. It's nice]

Yuri, Flynn. Ba'ul here...

[Patting her small whale-dragon friend]

I have to admit, I'm kind of envious. I know I have one of my friend here with me but I kind of wish my brother and a few of my other friends were here too.

I understand that feeling. There are a few people I miss, but...

[They're at home, safe and sound. Well, that's enough training for today]

Have you met anyone else you'd consider to be a friend here?

[starryaied]

[There was a long pause on her end. As she thought about it, all she could do was sigh.]

Outside of Akane-chan, not really. I tried making a couple of friends here but it seems a little difficult. I don't think they're being mean but I can't tell if they want to be my friend or not.

[SHE'S LOOKING AT YOU LEVI AND LELOUCH.]

Who wouldn't want to be friends with a cute girl like you?

What? I don't really know about that, I like to think that I just need to find the right person to befriend!

I'm sure you'll be able to keep trying then.

You know, if you wanted to be my friend, you can just say so. I wouldn't mind and I would love it if you could! I know I could use some more friends here anyway. Especially when I'm still trying to learn more about this world.

[Ruby is so lucky Judith is just entertained by this]

Oh, my. I appreciate that. I seem to be lacking them here myself.

[starryaied]

Then let's do it! Will you be my friend, Judith-san?

[All the while giving her hand out to her.]

If we're both lacking friends here, it's only fair that we stick together right?

Ah, that's true.

[She smiles and takes Ruby's hand. What a cute kid]

I'll be delighted to be your friend, Ruby.

[starryaied]

[With a chuckle, she simply nodded.]

Anyway, shall we get started with training again? It'll be good to know that I'm doing it with a friend now!

Ah, you're correct. It does feel better that way.
