[ It takes Cal a second to realize she's speaking to him, his head turning and immediately laughing sheepishly, a touch embarrassed as he rubs the back of his head. ]

He's exaggerating. [ He would be more concerned about that bit being overheard if he didn't have a very truthful excuse! ] I worked in a ship graveyard...stuff blows up all the time there.

[ And it wasn't usually his fault! ]
