He's as surprised as Hange is that it didn't end up infected if what they're saying is true -- and knowing them, the only reason for it to be untrue is if it was actually worse, but at least he didn't come to smelling like an outhouse. [ Absent-mindedly, he almost closes his remaining fingers on Hange's, but they finally let go, and he lets his hand drop down to his side instead. At least he's not trying to clean the invisible dirt off of it anymore. ]

[ And isn't that the truth. He's rarely happy about it or whatever, but he makes do, somehow. He rolls his visible eye a little and raises his good hand to start peeling at the corner of the adhesive bandage over his eye. ]
If they could regrow body parts, I imagine they would've done so by now.
[ Or maybe they'd just need to go to the magical instead of the medical section and request it, but that's a surprise discovery that might help us later! ]
