Sorry about the short notice but
Any chance you could make it to a birthday party sometime this week?
Should've been the 22nd but well
Kind of lost track of time

[ When you actually show up to the park near Flynn's one-bedroom apartment, you'll know where the party is right away: chains of wildflowers string trees together around the clearing, and there's a big buffet table covered with lots of (clearly labeled for different dietary needs) food. The recipes definitely lean Japanese, and most of it's handmade, but there's also a selection of storebought snacks still in their wrappers for some reason. ]

Not at all, but there are monsters that we protect the people from, other than that it was pretty normal.

I thought everyone thought their world was normal. 'Cause it's normal to them.

Normal is relative, so you're not wrong.

You must be used to fighting monsters like people have to do here, though! That sounds cool. Everyone keeps saying I shouldn't because I'm really new to it.

[He wonders if anyone has asked her that.]

I think so! It's gonna help us fix everything here, and the people here need us. So isn't it a good thing?

You have a really good attitude about it. I think you're right about the reason you want to help.

It makes sense to me! I mean, they need our help, and we need to go home, and we can't do that unless we help them, and they can't get their magic back unless we help them too, so if we're happy, they're happy, and if they're happy, we're happy, and then that means everybody's happy!

I see. You're right. You have such a kind heart Rinku. I'll help you do whatever you want so that you can accomplish your goals.

[Rinku's eyes widen and she smiles slowly. Suddenly, she flings her arms around Flynn to hug him.]

Ehe. I'll do my best too! Thanks a lot, Flynn-san!

[Flynn blinks and leans back on his foot as she flings her arms around him. He brings his arms around her shoulders and gives her a squeeze.]

Of course, I'm here to help you out Rinku, don't forget that.

[Rinku pulls back with a wide smile.]

I won't! You're so nice to everyone, and you work really hard!

[Flynn ruffles her hair again and steps back.]

Well, I hope you enjoy the party and get to talk to lots of people.

Of course! They're your friends, so I bet they're all nice, anyway.

Most of them probably. There are a few harder people here, but they are good people too.

I think so, too! I don't know everyone, but it makes sense to me.
