[ When you actually show up to the park near Flynn's one-bedroom apartment, you'll know where the party is right away: chains of wildflowers string trees together around the clearing, and there's a big buffet table covered with lots of (clearly labeled for different dietary needs) food. The recipes definitely lean Japanese, and most of it's handmade, but there's also a selection of storebought snacks still in their wrappers for some reason. ]

[ Gifts aren't really much of a thing where Hlasoh is from, not in quite the same way it is for people from other worlds. Only rich elites give each other gifts, for the most part, things of rarity and symbolic value. Most people don't even really use money to get things, so what would be the point in giving something freely available?

Hell, even birthdays aren't that much of a big deal.

But she understands that this is not the same for many people here, so she shows up at the park depositing a pair of light parcels (they contain plush, extremely comfortable bathrobes).

She's currently helping herself to some salmon nigiri. ]

Hah. It's honestly quite amusing seeing Yuri being so embarrassed and sentimental. [ She's friends with Yuri, and has sex with Yuri, and they're fond of each other, but it's... very different. ]

I don't even get why people get embarrassed about it. Shouldn't it just make you happy? That's what I don't know.

To be blunt, have you ever been in a romantic or erotic relationship with another?

Eh? Uh... no, not really. But if I had, I probably wouldn't get embarrassed, I don't think? Because it'd be something that made me happy.

The sushi is very well prepared. The fish is perfectly cut and fresh, and the rice has just enough vinegar while not being overpowering.

I know. I'm still not used to any of the plants or animals they use for food here, and that's without trying to cook with it.

[Flynn notices her and moves to greet her towards where the food is. He stops just a little short and chuckles at her words.]

I'll let Yuri know you said that, he'll appreciate it. Thank you for coming to spend some time with us.

[He nods to the salmon nigiri.]

[He turns to grab a plate himself and a few pieces of salmon nigiri.]

Yuri and Judith did a great job on the food as well. I wanted to cook, but they wouldn't let me.

[ She gives a little bow, though it's less out of manners than just a way to engage the conversation. ]

I'm not used to having this kind of attention, actually.

[He had kept things small after entering the knights for a reason. He didn't want to burden anyone, but the sheer amount of people here was nice to see.

I'm inclined to agree with you, though there is sometimes little choice in the matter.

[ She shrugs, but gives a small smile. She probably wouldn't want a party this big for herself. ]

[ She snickers. ]

Just kidding. [ She isn't though. ] I did pet a couple of them. And I made dessert out of the leftovers.

[At that he looks confused and tips his head slightly, but then he gets it, cheeks flushed.]

[When she changes the flow of the conversation, he's grateful.]
