[Another quest Kazunari can’t possibly turn down is the chance to take a picture of Nessie! Even Kazunari knows what Nessie is - it seems like such a cute lil lake puppy, he’d love to see one in person. And take photos? The majority of the photos he takes are for social media but that doesn’t mean he’s not good at it! His pics get the views for a reason! Plus, he’s gonna make Omimi proud!

The only problem is, though, that he’s taking pictures of a lot more than whatever is out on the water at the moment. He’s just so enamored with the scenery!

If he misses Nessie, you’ll let him know, won’t you?]

You're taking quite a bit of photos around here...

[ That's what Inaba herself says, being an obvious photographer with a camera worn around her neck. ]

[Kazunari startles just a bit, having been completely absorbed in his picture taking.]

Ack! [But he recovers.] Can you blame me?? This area is gorge!

You get it, right! [Miss with the camera.]

Unfortunately, [ Inaba punctuates with a sigh, arms crossed over her chest- ] I still can absolutely blame you. That being said, however. The area is rather nice looking, but I'm not here to take in the sights. I can do that another time, when I'm not working.

Hey, hey, I have a method! [Prepare yourself!] Nessie's the kind of creature that is only gonna show up when you're not paying attention!

[He's assuming that's what Inaba means but working. And maybe, maybe he just pulled that out of his ass, but it's not untrue.]

But if you're not paying attention you won't be able to get the photo.

[ Her response is so flat. ]

[Tough crowd!]

I ‘unno...! Something as big as Nessie is gonna be hard to miss, even from the corner of your eye.

There are ways for something large to hide or get out of sight of the camera.

Good point, piennn...

OK, time to get serious!!

[And part of getting serious is setting up a tripod. No more freehand shooting.]

Ohh — you really brought that with you?

[natsupiko]

Yeah! There's no way I can get a clear shot without one. I promise I didn't come here just to goof off.

I see. You have actual experience with taking photos, then?

[natsupiko]

[Kazunari nods as he starts setting up his tripod.]

Mm! I’m gonna be an Ultra-Multi Creator, after all! Plus, I have a bestie who is super cracked at photography, so I’ve been learning from him.

[Rinku bounces on her heels and looks out onto the lake. At least she's not judging him...]

I wonder how a monster from Earth got here? Do you think it's the same way we got all the Earth music and anime and stuff?

Right!! [Said between snapping more pictures.]

Maybe they tried to summon it the same way they summoned us, but Nessie was like "nah, I will do what Nessie does best" and peaced out here.

Awa... Yeah! That makes sense! 'Cause they always say they can't pick who they bring, so maybe that's how! I wonder if that means it has powers?

[natsupiko]

I really hope it has powers. That would be SO cool! [He’s getting really excited, bouncing on the heels of his feet a lil.] If it’s here, then maybe it’s a Summer baby with fire powers!

[roundandaround]

Yeah, maybe! Ooh, do you think that means we could lure it over here with fire? Like, "Come over here! You're like us!"

[natsupiko]

Yooo, that's a great idea! Where are your powers at? I've still got a lot to learn, but I can do a little fire creation and manipulation!

[roundandaround]

I can do fire too! Maybe we can call it over!

[She summons a little orange fireball and starts making it loop around in the air.]

Monster-chaaaaaaan! We're just like you, come over! We wanna be your friends!

[natsupiko]

Neeeesssiiie! [He cheers after Rinku and summons his own little flame starts spelling out "Nessie" and "Welcome ☆" next to her.] We can be best buds!!

[Near the middle of the lake, there's a ripple in the water. Then a bigger one and Kazunari points it out.] Oh!!

[roundandaround]

Wow! Is that it? Lemme see!

[She immediately starts taking pictures, even when nothing has actually come out of the water yet.]

Please be the monster, please be the monster, please be the monster!

[natsupiko]

[Kazunari also starts taking pictures preemptively.]

C'moooon, c'mon Nessie!!

[And from the ripple......



A massive fish jumps out of the water and lands back in with a splash.]

HUH?!

[roundandaround]

.............That's not a monster, is it?

[She slumps forward and her flames immediately fizzle out.]
