[ When you head to the location of Yuri's GPS ping from yesterday's network post, you'll find a rented-out little karaoke bar with MAID FOR YOU written on a handmade banner that is temporarily covering the bar's normal name, decorated in pink and black on the inside, with a lot of cute little two-chair tables taking up most of the floor space. There are rooms in the back that would normally be for singing karaoke in private, and singing with a maid is indeed one of the things you can do with those rooms today!

The real draw, though, is all of the very cute folks dressed as maids and/or butlers today, who will — for a small fee — wait on you personally. ♥

Take a menu, select a maid, and place your orders... or just ask Yuri what all the commotion's about, he'll be happy to explain! ]

((ooc: Maid cafe fundraiser! Don't worry too much about the coins your character is spending here, nothing is too expensive (though the black menu items are at a premium), we're all just here for the CR.

PLEASE NOTE: Yuri does feel personally responsible for the safety and comfort of all the Official Maids who are trying to help him raise funds here, so he will be actively trying to curb anyone bullying their friends into signing up, and he really doesn't want anyone working for him to be wearing or doing anything that makes them uncomfortable. Adult characters who only want to wear pink ribbons? Characters who want a full coverage maid outfit, or who want to be butlers instead? Excellent exercising of your boundaries, Yuri loves that for you.

You can, however, definitely pay for the "dress up as maid or butler" menu item and use that to bully your friends to your hearts' content. 😉))

[ listen. sometimes a guy just passes out without warning and those things just happen.

eventually he'll come to... did sabo stay holding him the entire time?? ]

[ it does happen and sabo's used to it for better or for worse. ...even if it had been many years since he has had to deal with it somewhat actively. it's not unpleasant; just different. extremely different.

and while ace is asleep, he'll have adjusted both of them so that they weren't so awkwardly seated...or awkward in general. instead of sabo awkwardly holding ace upright as he stood next to him, he has moved the other chair over so that they were sitting side-by-side. ace's head resting against his shoulder as sabo quietly waits for ace to wake up tapping on the device that they were all given. what else was he supposed to in this situation?

but when ace starts to come to, sabo will only briefly glance over to ace before going to look back at the device's screen. ]

[ well, since sabo isn't making a move to actually move from their position or shove him off, he's going to lean his head a little to try to peer at what sabo is doing on his device.

in the meantime, he also shifts just a bit so he's leaning a bit more comfortably and resting his head properly on sabo's shoulder. for the moment, he's going to keep his comments to himself. ]

[ why would he ever do throw ace off of him when he was the one who positioned him like that in the first place? either way, if he bothers to care about what ace sees when he peers over to look at what he was doing, then it isn't obvious.

all ace would be able to see is sabo messaging people on the network. nothing incriminating. nothing that would bother him. in anything, sabo will also adjust himself so that ace could be more comfortable resting against his shoulder. a domestic or quiet moment, if you will, between them despite the location.

sabo can get back to work later. ]

[ never know when they've both been little shits to each other in their life.

ace is going to soak up the moment for as long as he can, though. leaning on him like this and enjoying the quiet, it was very nice, actually.

while ace is looking at sabo's screen, he isn't completely reading along with what he's doing. just picking up bits here and there while relaxing. ]

[ this is truly a domestic moment right in the middle of a pop-up maid (and/or butler) cafe, but it whatever it is.

ace may not be laying on sabo's lap but something like this was on the menu. just...maybe not the menu that he agreed to adhere to. potential rule breaking aside, sabo continues to be completely absent from any signs of being upset with ace leaning on him so.

at the most, he'll finally acknowledge that ace is awake. not verbally, but he'll swaps the hand holding the device so that he can turn slightly and brush and any stray strands of hair from ace's face. his attention still mostly on the device as he'll only glance to ace as he does. ]

[ when sabo brushes his hair back, ace closes his eyes to savor that feeling. a quiet moment like this makes everything else melt away. no thoughts about happenings back home or in other places.

it's just the two of them right here right now without very many concerns. sure, they're here to help the people of the place, but compared to everything, it didn't seem that huge of a deal right now. (granted, going on adventure and exploring was important, but sometimes you need to enjoy the little things.)

with that thought, he can't help but keep a warm smile on his face. ]

[ the smile on ace's face brings one to sabo's and for that moment he forgets where they are. in fact, sabo forgets most of everything else that he should or could be doing and allows himself to (selfishly) enjoy ace's smile. there's a feeling that fills sabo as he calmly admires ace. a feeling that resides just under his rib cage and sabo won't put a specific name to it.

but whatever that feeling is, it drives sabo to place the back of his hand to the side of ace's face and forget all about whatever he had been reading. his knuckles lightly stroking ace's cheek before touching one of ace's freckles. he had no intentions of saying anything but the word leaves his mouth before he thinks about it.

simple but fond. ]

[ if his eyes had been open, he'd probably have that similar feeling that sabo is having right now, but luckily he's just relaxing against him and just savoring the feeling instead.

the tender touches make him feel at complete peace, though. nothing to concern either of them at home or here. nothing to worry about. though, when he hears sabo's soft words, he can't help but chuckle a little and grin. ]

That a bad thing?

[ he hadn't planned on hearing ace respond to him but when he does, sabo chuckles softly. it feels like he's sort of caught red-handed but it's not as though he said anything that was incriminating. though, there is a bit more force behind his actions now that ace has shown his hand as he moves to another one of ace's freckles. one that's slightly further on his face that the first one. ]

It is when there are supposed to be other people I'm serving.

[ and yet he is still not discouraging ace from getting off of him, especially not considering his actions. ]

You'll get to them eventually.

[ is this him being selfish? yeah, pretty much. he's going to monopolize sabo's time as much as possible while he has him right now. not that he doesn't take up other time of his, but you know, not quite in this capacity with sabo "serving" him.

besides, he's really comfortable like this and while sabo is claiming he should be doing other things, he's not going to extract himself from his position until he's actually told to move. ]

"Eventually"?

[ this is really sabo claiming one thing and doing another. ...mostly, that is. but at the same time ace was supposedly a "customer" who was here to help fund the guild's formation so this wasn't entirely unfair. regardless, sabo's light touches just from moments ago switches to a more normal touch as he continues to poke at ace's freckles one by one.

as comfortable as ace looks and ignoring the mood that had settled between the two of them, it doesn't space him a light ribbing from sabo. mainly because the longer they continue like this, the more time that sabo thinks about things. things that he doesn't quite want to think about at this moment. ]

Who would have thought that after all of these years, you'd end up being this clingy.
