[ When you head to the location of Yuri's GPS ping from yesterday's network post, you'll find a rented-out little karaoke bar with MAID FOR YOU written on a handmade banner that is temporarily covering the bar's normal name, decorated in pink and black on the inside, with a lot of cute little two-chair tables taking up most of the floor space. There are rooms in the back that would normally be for singing karaoke in private, and singing with a maid is indeed one of the things you can do with those rooms today!

The real draw, though, is all of the very cute folks dressed as maids and/or butlers today, who will — for a small fee — wait on you personally. ♥

Take a menu, select a maid, and place your orders... or just ask Yuri what all the commotion's about, he'll be happy to explain! ]


((ooc: Maid cafe fundraiser! Don't worry too much about the coins your character is spending here, nothing is too expensive (though the black menu items are at a premium), we're all just here for the CR.

PLEASE NOTE: Yuri does feel personally responsible for the safety and comfort of all the Official Maids who are trying to help him raise funds here, so he will be actively trying to curb anyone bullying their friends into signing up, and he really doesn't want anyone working for him to be wearing or doing anything that makes them uncomfortable. Adult characters who only want to wear pink ribbons? Characters who want a full coverage maid outfit, or who want to be butlers instead? Excellent exercising of your boundaries, Yuri loves that for you.

You can, however, definitely pay for the "dress up as maid or butler" menu item and use that to bully your friends to your hearts' content. 😉))

[ Of all things to be expected of her image... That's an odd one, as far as Nen's concerned. They wind up blinking, perplexed, but decide not to question it for now. Other worlds are fascinating--but today is supposed to be about their customers! ]

Do I need to brush your hair a certain way? Will it be okay...?

Nen would definitely feel it is so smooth and silky, though. She takes very good care of herself and her appearance! ]

[ It's just a matcha latte... Ayaka presses her lips around the straw and sips EVERYTHING.

She is fortunately (possibly) immune to getting a brainfreeze due to her Cryo Vision... ]

[ AYAKA SO STRONG... Nen watches her do that and thinks that if Ayaka can do that, surely they can too!! (This is a mistake).

They tip their own drink back and take several big gulps, before having to pull back suddenly to cough, sticking out their tongue as the back of their throat gets all frigid and cold. Oops. ]

[ She lowers her glass back to the table immediately, and she places a hand on their back. ]

Are you alright, Nenonen?

[ Nen is fine, but also they're not fine and they lift a hand to their throat a little with a cough ]

[ There there, sweet one... Ayaka rubs her hand up and down their back. ]

[ Ayaka so kind... Nen appreciates it. It'll take a few seconds of breathing out warmer air to try and un-chill their throat...but eventually it does happen, and Nen relaxes with a sigh. ]

You drank it so fast, I thought I could too... You're strong, Ayaka.

[ That she is strong, she means. ]

Though... Perhaps I may be cheating a little, since I possess a Cryo Vision. I am used to the cold.

A Cryo Vision...? Is that the same as a Hydro Vision? Ayato has one of those--it makes his sword move very fast!

[ Technically they've seen Childe use his as well, but right now Ayato comes to mind first on account of him being Ayaka's older brother. ]

It is not his Hydro Vision that makes his sword move very fast, however.

[ That's Ayato's skill with his sword doing the work! Ayaka can do it too. 😌 ]

The elements that my brother and I are able to use are different. Hydro is the element of water, while Cryo is the element of ice.

[ Dang... Knowing that it isn't magic, but sheer training that enables him to go that fast is a little surprising. Nen knows he's told them he trains hard--he's agreed to try some basics with them (and nothing more)--but they still sort of assumed that magic must have been part of it. How else could any human move so fast...? ]

That's like the Winter Magic here--like me. I cannot do the same thing as he can with water yet, though. I need more practice.

Well...

[ Nenonen gives it a few seconds of thought, then begins listing them off on their fingers. ]

I can make water and I can choose if it's hot or cold...I can move it around or make it into shapes if I think about it in my head. Mostly I just use it to clean or make food with.

I wonder if you are able to make water clones of yourself...

[ It is a Kamisato Art to be able to do something like that, but maybe magic can do something similar! ]

Water clones? Like...copies of stuff, but made out of water?

[ If there is one thing Nen has learned....it is that magic is total bc and does whatever the heck it wants without relying on the laws of physics. SO. it could probably try! ]

Indeed. Manipulating the element you are able to control, in order to let it take the shape of you.

It is quite similar to leaving your shadow behind and letting it serve as a trap to your enemies.
