[ When you head to the location of Yuri's GPS ping from yesterday's network post, you'll find a rented-out little karaoke bar with MAID FOR YOU written on a handmade banner that is temporarily covering the bar's normal name, decorated in pink and black on the inside, with a lot of cute little two-chair tables taking up most of the floor space. There are rooms in the back that would normally be for singing karaoke in private, and singing with a maid is indeed one of the things you can do with those rooms today!

The real draw, though, is all of the very cute folks dressed as maids and/or butlers today, who will — for a small fee — wait on you personally. ♥

((ooc: Maid cafe fundraiser! Don't worry too much about the coins your character is spending here, nothing is too expensive (though the black menu items are at a premium), we're all just here for the CR.

PLEASE NOTE: Yuri does feel personally responsible for the safety and comfort of all the Official Maids who are trying to help him raise funds here, so he will be actively trying to curb anyone bullying their friends into signing up, and he really doesn't want anyone working for him to be wearing or doing anything that makes them uncomfortable. Adult characters who only want to wear pink ribbons? Characters who want a full coverage maid outfit, or who want to be butlers instead? Excellent exercising of your boundaries, Yuri loves that for you.

You can, however, definitely pay for the "dress up as maid or butler" menu item and use that to bully your friends to your hearts' content. 😉))

....I am discovering there is a degree of how much I can do the smiling depending on if its my own business versus another that isn't pleasant, but I am recalling I had actually enjoyed working on food service otherwise.

In many circumstances. But this is for a good cause, which makes it easier - and besides which, I quite enjoy the opportunity to dress up and look cute.

True. It is nice to have an excuse. I'm usually in need of being able to work and that's not always productive for a skirt.

Its quite annoying and the skirt doesn't usually survive. I've had to bake in so many enchantments into my coat and it still gets damaged if I get too reckless.

That is quite the issue. Does that come up with all your clothes?

Yes. I put a lot of work in something I favor, but other clothes I do more basic enchantments and just get a couple of copies if I can if I like the look.

Even then, I try to shape my fire around the clothes so I don't wear the magic down.

It was very important to mother that I could fully control my flames before I was allowed to work on improving the raw power of my flame.

[In case he ever remade the Samadhi Fire again. Especially with his father imprisoned. His father was fairly lava and fireproof himself, but his mother wasn't. If Red Son had lost control again with a reforged Samadhi Fire, she wouldn't have been able to contain him.]

Nothing burns unless I want it to burn and its been two centuries since I set anything on fire on accident.
