WHAT: A fundraiser for office space for Yuri's up-and-coming guild, Brave Vesperia Ellipsa.
WHEN: Late April.
WHERE: Blossomcrown, a karaoke bar rented out for the occasion.
WARNINGS: Cheesecakey fun. Potentially alcohol consumption. All maids offering black menu services will be linking to an additional top-level off comm ♥

[ When you head to the location of Yuri's GPS ping from yesterday's network post, you'll find a rented-out little karaoke bar with MAID FOR YOU written on a handmade banner that is temporarily covering the bar's normal name, decorated in pink and black on the inside, with a lot of cute little two-chair tables taking up most of the floor space. There are rooms in the back that would normally be for singing karaoke in private, and singing with a maid is indeed one of the things you can do with those rooms today!

The real draw, though, is all of the very cute folks dressed as maids and/or butlers today, who will — for a small fee — wait on you personally. ♥

Take a menu, select a maid, and place your orders... or just ask Yuri what all the commotion's about, he'll be happy to explain! ]

((ooc: Maid cafe fundraiser! Don't worry too much about the coins your character is spending here, nothing is too expensive (though the black menu items are at a premium), we're all just here for the CR.

PLEASE NOTE: Yuri does feel personally responsible for the safety and comfort of all the Official Maids who are trying to help him raise funds here, so he will be actively trying to curb anyone bullying their friends into signing up, and he really doesn't want anyone working for him to be wearing or doing anything that makes them uncomfortable. Adult characters who only want to wear pink ribbons? Characters who want a full coverage maid outfit, or who want to be butlers instead? Excellent exercising of your boundaries, Yuri loves that for you.

You can, however, definitely pay for the "dress up as maid or butler" menu item and use that to bully your friends to your hearts' content. 😉))

( Zelda finds a little corner with a cozy couch and beckons for Ruby to sit down before getting coffees for them both and bringing them back. She's never been a servant before and it seems strange to be the servant and not the princess but it is sort of fun, too. She puts the coffees down on the table and sits down next to her. )

Here we are. I never thought it would be fun to be a servant but it sort of is, in a way.

[Ruby is quick to join Zelda at the couch, taking her seat beside the princess. She does notice she’s a little awkward, but she’s doing wonderful.]

Doing something else for a change is quite fun! Maybe when we get home, we can let you do a few things there instead of just me!

Also, um… how would you feel about moving here? It’s a nice place and a lot more free than in the city.

I would like to move here, I think. I like it here and there is more freedom. I haven't had much of a chance to truly live in a long time and I should like to enjoy it.

( Zelda takes a sip of her coffee and drapes her arm over Ruby's shoulders. It's meant to be a cuddle, after all, and Zelda doesn't want to fail at this important part of the experience. )

Then, it’s settled. I looked at a few houses earlier before I came here. Nice little small ones. Kinda feels like back in my home.

[Ruby takes a drink of her own coffee before moving closer to Zelda, wrapping an arm around her back. Those silver eyes of hers shine with such a fondness of the princess.]

( The physical contact is actually sort of comforting and Zelda realizes she's had little of that in her life. It's not something she thinks about for very long, though, because she's distracted by talk of the house. )

I think a small house would be perfect for us. There's no need for anything extravagant and it would be lovely to have a house here with all the flowers blooming and the spring breezes.

Exactly. And if we do need anything, we can just use one of their magic things to expand it! It'll be ours... and anyone else if our friends show up and want a place to stay, perhaps?

I think that will be perfect. And hopefully one of us does have a friend show up eventually. Some people have many from home that have come here with them.

( Zelda drinks from her coffee again, enjoying the rich taste of it. They do not have anything quite like this in Hyrule and she thinks she'll probably want more of these before they are done with the Maid Cafe for the day. )

Did you have any other plans today besides finding a house and sharing a cuddle?

I have at least one other, but he’s elsewhere and I think he’s happy so far. So, for now, it’s just us.

[She took a sip of her own coffee as she heard Zelda’s question, pondering on it briefly.]

Not really. I can stay longer if you want me to, unless there’s something you need me to do.

You can stay as long as you like. There isn't a time limit on how long you can have my company.

( Not that Zelda knows of, anyway, and there are plenty of others available to spend time with customers just now so she isn't the only "maid" around. )

This is a strange sort of way to raise money, isn't it? I've never done anything like this before.

It kinda is, and it seems fun. I kinda wish I signed up for it myself. Oh, well!

[She giggled before moving to rest her head on Zelda’s head, smiling as she did.]

Is there… anything you want me to do for you?

I think I'm the one who is supposed to do things. There's a menu, actually, but as long as it isn't anything too risque we could do it out here.

( The cuddling is nice, after all, and Zelda squeezes her shoulders. )

Just think, we're helping a good cause!

Sorry, I wasn’t sure how it worked, but if that’s the case…!

[She finds the menu once more as she giggles at the squeeze.]

And I’ll help out any way I can!

[She discovers the black menu and blushes.]

Oh, no, I couldn’t ask to do this…!

I put those on offer because I do not mind doing them but some of them are certainly things I would never do in public. I would need just a bit more privacy for that.

( Zelda isn't prudish about sex, not really, but she doesn't think she could manage to do anything too exposed right out in front of everyone. )

Oh, I see! I would never ask you to go too far with me. You've been way too kind to me since we became roomies and I'd hate to ruin that over this place!

Though, um... is kissing okay or is that too much?

[She grins sheepishly at that. She's trying to find that right spot...]

Oh, kissing is absolutely fine! I do not think there's anything embarrassing about a kiss and I'm certain there will be other people here kissing.

( Zelda hasn't seen it yet herself but there are a lot of private corners in the cafe. )

[Ruby’s cheeks flushed as she heard that. She was so certain she crossed a line saying that! Clearing her throat, she continued.]

Then, I’d like that! Should we go somewhere else or just silly little kisses here?

[She slaps her mouth shut at that.]

( Zelda looks at Ruby for a moment but keeps her face soft so she doesn't embarrass either of them. It's a delicate thing to discuss, kissing. )

I wouldn't see a problem with kissing in either venue.

O-Okay...

[Gods, why did she say that? But, still, it seemed that Zelda was okay with it. At least here. Clearing her throat, she'd bashfully lean in to kiss her.]

( The kiss is soft and gentle and Zelda keeps it relatively chaste since they're in public. )

There, see? There's nothing to be shy about. It's just a kiss. Kissing is absolutely a normal activity.

I know... I was just afraid you might think differently or turn me away because of it.

Oh, no, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't hurt you like that, Ruby. That would be cruel.

[Ruby smiled softly at that, blushing.]

You’re so kind, Zelda. Thank you.

How could I be anything but kind to someone who has been kind to me? I do not reward kindness with cruelty, Ruby. I never would.

( It's against everything she stands for, honestly. )

[Ruby smiles widely at that.]

[And she kisses her cheek in return.]

I have nothing I need at this moment but I cannot imagine there won't be a time in the future when I do have to take you up on that.

( Having friends after having been alone for so long is simply a delight and Ruby needs only provide her companionship to be worth much in Zelda's eyes. )
