[ When you head to the location of Yuri's GPS ping from yesterday's network post, you'll find a rented-out little karaoke bar with MAID FOR YOU written on a handmade banner that is temporarily covering the bar's normal name, decorated in pink and black on the inside, with a lot of cute little two-chair tables taking up most of the floor space. There are rooms in the back that would normally be for singing karaoke in private, and singing with a maid is indeed one of the things you can do with those rooms today!

The real draw, though, is all of the very cute folks dressed as maids and/or butlers today, who will — for a small fee — wait on you personally. ♥

Take a menu, select a maid, and place your orders... or just ask Yuri what all the commotion's about, he'll be happy to explain! ]


((ooc: Maid cafe fundraiser! Don't worry too much about the coins your character is spending here, nothing is too expensive (though the black menu items are at a premium), we're all just here for the CR.

PLEASE NOTE: Yuri does feel personally responsible for the safety and comfort of all the Official Maids who are trying to help him raise funds here, so he will be actively trying to curb anyone bullying their friends into signing up, and he really doesn't want anyone working for him to be wearing or doing anything that makes them uncomfortable. Adult characters who only want to wear pink ribbons? Characters who want a full coverage maid outfit, or who want to be butlers instead? Excellent exercising of your boundaries, Yuri loves that for you.

You can, however, definitely pay for the "dress up as maid or butler" menu item and use that to bully your friends to your hearts' content. 😉))

I'm glad to hear it. I'm here under Nenonen's request, though I can't say I mind supporting the guild itself. I imagine it'll be very useful to people here going forward.

Admittedly I'm more practised in games such as shogi or chess, though I'm sure I'll pick it up quickly enough.

...It does? { that's a more interesting topic than the cards honestly. } How curious.{ does that mean more or less compatibility with vampires than humans? because he does know where nen was 'born', but that's the limit to it. really it isn't something he should be pondering about a friend anyway, so he'll leave it with that statement, along with a smile. }

I think it's unfair to consider it that way when you'd clearly have more physical abilities than I, a mere human, would. Fighting strategies or no, if I can't move fast enough to keep up doesn't that make the playing field uneven? { he chuckles } Not that I mind, I'm well aware of my limits.

Mmhmm. I have a naturally high body temperature, and theirs is naturally low. I'm like a warm blanket to them.

It's similar to how you could run intellectual circles around me, isn't it? [ Not a trace of resentment or bitterness in her voice, it's just true. She has many physical strengths, and emotional strength when it comes to supporting anyone but herself, but her intellect is nothing to write home about. ] I have to have some strengths to compensate for my weaknesses.

Surprisingly, I can understand that rather well. { perhaps it isn't quite the same, but he does know someone who feels much cozier to be near because they seem to just radiate warmth. whether it's actual warmth or not though is another thing entirely. }

Though that is also a fair comparison to have as well. We'll keep with gin then, as it seems to be a better middle ground.

Thank you, my impatient brain appreciates your compromise. [ It can never be said that Saya doesn't know her weaknesses. More the trouble is she underestimates herself in every area except physical tasks. ] What is it you enjoy about shogi and chess? The challenge?

Not necessarily, it keeps me occupied a little better than other board games. { and there's something to be said for watching your friend suffer as they fail to ever win against you- } Back home there wasn't time for many hobbies, it filled the time.

Most of it, yes. I may get a few hours to myself every now and then. Quite often it would take me away from home for days at a time.

Oh? Did you enjoy traveling or was it a burden to be away from home?

I wouldn't say I got to see very much, unfortunately. I travelled under the cover of darkness for the most part, and was often surrounded by enough guards I couldn't enjoy the view even if I'd wanted to. And then, once at the destination, it was just meeting after meeting. { he gives her a faint smile. } It's much more enjoyable to travel here.

I see. That's a shame. I'm sure it was a challenge to be so confined, even if it was for your protection.

But I'm also glad you're able to take more advantage of it, being here. Where's your favorite travel location, so far?

It's all I've ever really known. Besides, I wouldn't turn away my duties just to see a little countryside.

Blossomcrown park. { he answers rather quickly, a smile on his face. } It's much more relaxing than Nightwake. It's too boisterous for me here, but since we're saying to be able to afford a house elsewhere we've stayed in the free apartments for the first two months.

Of course not. I agree actually, most of my travels where for some greater purpose and I rarely enjoyed them. I learned many languages to get around, but other than that it was all business. So to speak. [ Since the business was murder ]

Oh? Will you be able to move near to the park?

I never really got to travel far enough to need other languages, or we had staff to handle translations for the most part.

I'll move to wherever my sister wishes to go.

Comes from doing most of my traveling with just one person, I suppose. [ Se kept as far away from Red Shield as she could. ]

I'm sure she wants to please you as much as you want to please her, so I'd bet on you finding somewhere that suits you both.

Ah, no. It's more it would be rather useless if someone who was responsible for governing a country were to leave it, would it not? I have duties at home that mean I will travel for those, and nothing more.

And that is rather possible. Not to mention Cloud will be moving with us, I imagine she wants somewhere that will be comfortable for him as well.

Yes, that's correct. Though I'm not sure three qualifies as 'large'.

Other reasons. Perhaps in our Archon's eyes it was protection, but it certainly didn't feel that way for most people.
