The day has come. Tsubasa and Chris will, from this day forward, be roommates, sharing the same living space in Dayrise. To her credit, Tsubasa doesn't have many things with her, as she just arrived in Ellipsa, so she arrives at Chris's door with just a few things: a few changes of clothes and a literal katana to her name.

"Hello Yukine," she said as she walked in. "Where should I put my things?"

Right on her heels was something that shouldn't be here, however: A small, waddling, baby otter-like creature. It regarded Chris with a stern nod, before taking its place at Tsubasa's side, as if it belonged there.

[Chris stares at the creature as Tsubasa enters.]

Uh, on the couch is fine until we can get a proper dresser set up. You gonna explain the otter?

Thank you.

[ Tsubasa moves to set them down. ]

Hm? Oh, that is Isamu, my new companion. He came out of a strange ball I received from a vending machine in the Underground Mall. He has a warrior's spirit.

[ The otter gives a firm nod at that. ]

Huh. Never really looked into those, but...

[Chris fishes out her phone and taps on it for a bit.]

I just sent you a link to the Pokédex app for your phone. It'll be able to tell you all sorts of things, like this guy's diet, capabilities, common behaviors for his species, and how he might change.

[Chris just downloaded it herself, so she points her phone at Isamu.]

Oshawott, the Sea Otter Pokémon. it attacks and defends by slashing with the hard scalchop on its stomach, and uses it to break open hard berries as well.

I see. So he's what's called a Pokémon. Thank you, Yukine. I will download this app immediately. It will greatly assist in Isamu's training.

[ And she takes out her phone to do just that. ]

...I know this is late, but are you certain his being here will not be a problem? Are you absolutely certain my being here will not be a problem?

I'm sure. As long as we both put in our fair share of work, we should be able to afford this place easily enough even with another mouth to feed. Hell, Pokémon food is free at Riki's. And the apartment doesn't have a No Pokémon rule, so we're good there too. We might have to get a bigger place if he evolves into something big, though.

[ Tsubasa smiled warmly. ]

Thank you, Yukine. I'm sure that Isamu is grateful as well.

[ The Oshawott remained as serious and stonefaced as ever, however. ]

...That said, you make a good point about putting in "our fair share of work". I suppose I will have to get a job.

Yes and no? The Questboard pays well enough to live off of, if you're fine living like a mercenary.

That seems like it would more than cover things. Still, I want to make a living with my music. It feels more fulfilling to me.

There are ways you can do that, yeah. You'll have to get a permit before you can really start promoting yourself, but idols are definitely a thing here.

...So how do we want to divide up the household responsibilities? Keep in mind that I may need, erm, instruction on certain matters.

For now, I take care of anything fragile. We'll see about splitting things differently when you can be trusted to not make weird sculptures out of my dishes.

Warrior Training - Spring Segment, Bamboo Labyrinth

Tsubasa has no intention of resting on her laurels. A sentinel and a sword, regardless of whether they have found multiple purposes in life, must remain strong and sharp as ever. As such, after reviewing information on the various segments, she has used a teleport crystal to bring herself to the Bamboo Labyrinth in the Spring segment.

Her first order of business is to test herself in the Labyrinth itself. Choosing not to activate her Symphogear pendant, she took on the various traps and challenges with naught but her own agility, physical prowess, and sword. This is where she could be found earliest, trying to navigate the Labyrinth and overcome it. Strangely, she had no interest in the treasure, and only in testing herself.

Later, she could be found in the cavern beneath the labyrinth, literally sitting underneath the waterfall like some cliche out of an old movie. She was honing her mind and concentration, not just to focus her mental fortitude and spiritual strength, but also get a handle on the new powers she supposedly had. After sitting underneath the water for a while, she'd hold out her hand and focus, attempting to manipulate the water according to her will like she supposedly could do now.

No luck just yet, but she was going to keep trying.

Mukuro had taken to spending more time in the Segments recently. In the city, loud thoughts shattered her focus, tensing up the muscles in her body before she'd even noticed. Of course, she couldn't entirely escape them by running away, not when the thing plaguing her was her own mind... but the attempt was made regardless.

If there was one time she could ground herself, it was when she trained her body and combat abilities- that had brought her to the Labyrinth. Today, it seemed that she wasn't the only one who'd had that idea for a training location.

"Huh- someone's-" Not too far ahead of her, either. Mukuro dashed forward to investigate, flicking a combat knife into her hands as she rolled under the nearest trap. Let's see if she could catch up with the other trainee.

She would find Tsubasa on one knee, panting after having disabled a trap with her blade. Her finely tuned warrior senses caused her to detect Mukuro's approach, and she spun around, weapon drawn and her body on guard as she confronted her before she got too close.

"Who goes there?!"

Mukuro, too, shifted into a instinctive defensive stance, keeping her distance. Knife close on one her right side and her automail off-hand ready to block on the left. Her eyes narrowed in focus. A sword against a knife left her at a disadvantage in terms of range, but that just meant a faster reaction-time would be needed.

"Mukuro Ikusaba. Otherworlder. Autumn-aligned." Quick, efficient, militaristic. "You?"

She didn't recognise this person, but likelihood was high she'd been brought into this world too.

Tsubasa studied her potential opponent. The stance indicated training of some kind. The use of a knife meant Tsubasa had the advantage in terms of range in a straight fight, but that her opponent could counter it with better reaction time.

"Kazanari Tsubasa. Also an otherworlder. Winter-aligned." Equally efficient. "I came here to hone my skills."

She narrowed her eyes in turn. "I do not have to be your enemy."

Cold, calm, as this stranger sized her up. Assessed her. The sword probably wasn't just for show, this was another combatant- and her words only confirmed that.

"I came here to train, too. And get out the city."

As for the latter comment, Mukuro cautiously lowered her knife in reply. She didn't come here to make enemies, after all.

"...I see. Then we have nothing to fear from each other."

Tsubasa lowered her blade as well, and sheathed it. She then smiled, holding out her hand in greeting.

"I apologize for the chilly reception. Perhaps I can make it up to you? We could train alongside each other if you like."

[abnormalizes]

Evangeline was also in the underground lake - swimming in it, specifically, something she'd never really gotten a chance to enjoy in the City. Naturally she was in her bikini rather than trying to swim in clothes.

Seeing someone sitting under the waterfall piqued her curiosity, and she swam over, though not close enough to get lashed out at if Evangeline startled her.

"Does that work? The waterfall meditation thing."

Tsubasa has known Evangeline has been here for a while, and has endeavored not to be distracted by her presence. When she swims over, she replies without opening her eyes or looking in her direction:

"It has served me well in the past. I only hope it does so as well here and helps me in mastering my new abilities."

[abnormalizes]

"Huh! I've never tried it, but we don't have any waterfalls at home."

Pause.

"Am I bothering you?"

[blueflash]

"I recommend it if you ever get the chance. It is a great way of mastering physical, mental, and spiritual strength."

A short pause.

"And no. You are actually helping me test my focus."

Singing In The Park

Tsubasa had time for more than just honing her fighting skills. She had to keep her skills up as an idol as well, which meant she still had to perform for people. But how was she to do that with nothing to her name and no venues scheduled?

She'd just have to bring the performance to them by finding a park to sing in. Hopefully she'd interest someone, even if said park was not the place for the more bombastic types of shows she was used to. And hopefully there'd be no incidents at an event such as this.

And so, standing in the park, she began to sing...

"Love, such a fantastic word. I repeat it in my heart.
