Day after the end of the event

[ When he wakes up, he swears he's aged another century. Even through his closed eyes he can tell the sun sits high in the sky and he wouldn't be surprised if it's past noon. Thanks to pure exhaustion, he at least didn't have nightmares that he can recall, and he decides it's still too early and rolls over to try to sleep more.

Then he feels the floor move as Sadaharu enters the room and he gets a faceful of wet tongue and he groans in protest and rolls the other way.

So, of course, Sadaharu takes his whole head in his mouth and drags him out.

Thus, he gets up, stumbling out to the kitchen to first drink a full glass of water, then fill it with strawberry milk, and bring it with him into the living room where ... Well, he expected to find Zura, but to find him on the floor staring up at space with the cats on top of him--

Actually, that's not too surprising either. ]

Let's go camping.

[ Now seems like a good time for that. Maybe they shouldn't, maybe it should be something happier, but ... He wants to. Might even say he needs to. ]

[ It's hard to tell at first whether he's awake or not. The eyes staring up at the ceiling definitely look pretty dead. ]

[ But then they blink, and Zura sits up slowly, Kurosuke sliding from his chest into his lap with a slightly offended "Mrow??" before settling in again. Zura's hair is a bit of a mess, several strands sticking out at odd angles -- it actually looks like he hasn't brushed it today, which is a concerning rarity -- and he's still in his pajamas. His hand resumes absently scritching the voidcat's fur as he now stares ahead for a while and then finally snaps out of it enough to turn his head to look at Gintoki. ]

Are you sure?

[ It was supposed to be a happy memory. ]

[ Well, maybe it still can be, but right now it feels a lot more like grasping at straws for some sort of therapy, which, granted, they probably do need right now. ]
