Quest Mingle: February-March

Quest Mingle: February-March
LOGS | NETWORK | OOC | MEMES | NAVIGATION
Questboard! This post is for playing!
Guideline
• These quests are valid from start of February until end of March.
• Characters don't need to be a member of the guild to do quests and anyone can do any segment's quest! The quests are just marked this way to show where the quests are taking place.
• City Location Details | Segment Location Details
• Remember to keep distances in mind: it takes 2 weeks to travel on foot from the bridges to the edge of the map (barrier). Faster methods for travel exist, of course.
• For some of the monsters, additional details can be found from the Bestiary.
• Rewards are for one completion of the quest, but characters can do it multiple times to earn more money from them, as the problems do repeat.
• Please see the guild page for permanent quests.
Quest Types
• Battle Quests: Usually deal with hordes of monsters or monsters that threaten the natives. Always involves battling.
• Boss Battle Quests: Boss Battles appear when a certain condition is met. Usually linked to normal battle quests and always involve battling. They can be "summoned" multiple times during the months.
• Gathering Quests: Ingredient hunting. These can be gathering minerals, plants or even capturing animals where necessary. Rarely involves battling - if there is it will be marked.
• Misc Quests: Quests that don't really fit into other categories.

| Hamburger Help Me | It's time for a cook-off to celebrate Coldreach's famous food culture! Test your skill by grilling, chilling, frying, or otherwise cooking something that best represents the pub food tradition. Our judges will see how you do! | Characters can either be competing against each other or working as a team against someone else. They can cook anything that would fit the vague description of "pub food," and the best dish will win. | 1,000 Moon Coins, a trophy shaped like a burger for the winner |
| Miniature World | Ever wanted to explore what Ellipsa looked like pre-Tragedy? With the power of Minimize potions and modern recreations, now you can! A special exhibit has opened with miniature recreations of different areas in the Segments, complete with scaled-down animatronic villagers, sized so that visitors who take a Minimize potion can explore. | The areas represented are the Valley of Wind (which seems to be a very nice and non-wrecked town with animatronic villagers, with barely a breeze provided by a fan hidden inside an ornamental rock), the Dragon/Abandoned Castle (sized for humans as it used to be before the renovations, with the standard of House Beaumont; animatronics include the king, queen, and princes, playing voice clips to greet guests), the Forest of the Lost Souls (with generic illusions of friendly "ghosts" that also play voice clips, saying they're happy to see you again), and the Crystal Mines (mostly the same as they are now, but with dwarves talking about valour and honour). | Minimize potion (one use spent on the quest, four doses left) |
| Now That's A King Cake | There's been another incident with a portal dimension, and people are reporting having lost their items in there. It's going to be a little difficult getting them back... just make sure to shower afterwards, and wear something that won't get dirty. | The world inside the portal is a candy dimension where the centrepiece is a gigantic cake. Lost items have somehow fallen into the cake like charms in a king cake, and characters are tasked with digging them out. The lost item can be anything. | 700 Moon Coins |
| Update Patch | The simulators in the guild houses need updates to stay current! Calling on anyone tech-inclined to program in new settings, monsters, spells, and anything that's been reported on quests or that might appear in the future. | While the guilds will provide any anecdotes and combat data they have for characters to add new monsters and locations to the simulator, nothing is stopping characters from adding anything else, whether it be speculative, something from their home, or something they just made up. | 500 Moon Coins |

|---|---|---|---|
| Demon In My View | The Hell Dimension may be closed, but there were still some demons roaming outside in the Winter Segment when it happened. Which might explain how other monsters near the Heart Will Go On Glacier are disappearing. It's been hard to catch these demons, but they don't belong here -- wipe them out! | Demons are tough, but thankfully, without access to their home dimension or their sacrificial rituals, they won't be summoning any super-strong allies this time. Some have special abilities, like long prehensile tongues, stretchy limbs, or extending claws, that they fight with. | 5,000 Moon Coins |
| It's Eat or Be Eaten CW/TW: Drowning | The latest fad superfood is the seeds of Frozen Plant Octopi. To be fair, they are very nutritious -- but why's this in the battle section, you ask? Because some of the plants are alive and will try to eat you if you're not careful. Cut them down and reel them in. | Some Frozen Plant Octopi are stationary, while others can move around at will. They live in the Half-Frozen Lake and are more active when the fish are active. They try to drown people before eating them. | 3,500 Moon Coins |
| Race For Your Love | The past half year of quests finally paid off, and the little village where the north pier is at the Northern Cold Sea is rebuilding! To celebrate (and draw people in to visit and fuel the economy), they're holding a boat race. Brave the cold waters in whatever craft you like and sail down to the docks at the Winter/Autumn border. But remember to pack enough supplies for the trip and to watch out for monsters! | If characters ask, the race is estimated to take about three days. Enemies encountered during the race can be any aquatic Winter monster (and the occasional aquatic Autumn monster that wandered in from the Southern Cold Sea). | 2,500 Moon Coins |

|---|---|---|---|
| There Wolf | Be careful when you're looking for those Wereshrooms. Werewolves live in those mountains, after all, and the easiest time to find the mushrooms is the hardest time to face the werewolves. | This boss only unlocks when characters get close to finding Wereshrooms; it may still not unlock depending on luck(/player preference). Werewolves are nearly impossible to defeat during a full moon, but are weakened the further it gets from a full moon, so this can be anything from a hopeless boss fight to a fairly standard one. | 9,000 Moon Coins |
Gathering Quests

|---|---|---|---|
| Happy-Go-Lily | Once again, the small window of time has come to gather Glacial Lilies from the Frozen Lake. These flowers that somehow grow on the ice appear only once a year, and they're very useful for potions that strengthen any or all elemental powers. Please gather as many as you can! | Characters are discouraged from just eating the lilies raw; apparently someone did that two years ago and their hair turned into a solid block of ice. | 500 Moon Coins, Glacial Lily Potion (one dose, boosts all seasonal elemental abilities for 48 hours) |
| Where Shroom? | For this experimental insomnia medicine, we'll need Wereshrooms. They grow around the Wolf's Blood Mountains, but be careful -- while they're much easier to find the closer you get to the full moon, they tend to bite back. | Wereshrooms are a mysterious fungus that grows in snow. The last time they were found was around a bridge behind the mountains, which at the time led straight into the Darkness (it now just leads across a deep crack in the ice made by earthquakes). They have venomous thorns that resemble a werewolf's fangs, and aside from being painful, the venom can loosen one's inhibitions (for instance, making them less restrained, lashing out at people who annoy them, or saying whatever they feel instead of hiding it). | 1,500 Moon Coins |

| Show and Tell | To celebrate the anniversary of the otherworlders' arrival, the guilds are holding an event at the Titanic Dome for portal gun holders! Take a quest partner into your personal pocket dimension, show them what there is to see, and bring back a souvenir to display at your guild! | Any character can claim a portal gun and register their own pocket dimension here if they haven't already. All kinds of dimensions are open under the restrictions laid out in the link. | 500 Moon Coins |

|---|---|---|---|
| The Early Bird... CW/TW: Worms | Sleepeacocks are migrating in large numbers, being chased by some kind of big worms -- and they're making a huge fuss, which isn't great when their cries put people to sleep! Bring some kind of hearing protection to keep yourself awake and go check it out. | The large worms seem to be related to the Giant Worm that was fought last year. They're smaller (about 4m) and will only try to eat characters if they're on the small side, but they still have ground magic, are immune to fire, and are weak to water and electricity. | 3,000 Moon Coins |
| Running with the Wolfmoths | Wolfmoths are all well and good when they're in the wild eating other monsters, but they're a problem when they start preying on their favourite food -- the farmers' Fabric Sheep! Try and keep the packs of Wolfmoths away from the sheep in the fields. | While Wolfmoths will normally go after Fabric Sheep, they will also attack people in their way and may try to pick characters up and carry them off to eat. | 2,000 Moon Coins |
| What's the Buzz? CW/TW: Bees | After making so many friends last year, the Fairy Bees have summoned some friends -- Giant Fairy Bees, which are about the size of a cat and very docile. But the increased honey production has brought a horde of hungry monsters to try and steal their honey, so they're asking the otherworlders for help as best as bees can! | Any lower-level monster (around 5 or lower on the bestiary's danger scale) can appear trying to steal the honey. Yes, the Giant Fairy Bees are pettable. | 1,500 Moon Coins |

| ...Gets the Worm CW/TW: Worms | Those must be young Giant Worms -- but that doesn't mean there aren't fully grown ones around. Especially if the ground's been upturned; that could lure them out. If you see one, take it down. | This boss only unlocks when fighting the juvenile Giant Worms either around a place where ground is regularly upturned, such as the Farmlands, or near one of the big cracks in the ground on the map. A full-sized Giant Worm is around 6 metres long, has all the strengths and weaknesses of the younger ones mentioned above, and won't just subsist on Sleepeacocks, but will also attempt to eat adventurers whole. | 6,000 Moon Coins |

| Hey, You Dumb Pigs! | One of the farms in the Spring Segment seems to have lost their pigs. Lots of pigs. Please bring them back before we have another cow situation. | The pigs have thankfully not turned into monsters, but are making a mess and eating and running down everything they can find. Most of them are nearby the Farmlands, but they can be found almost anywhere in the Spring Segment. | 1,000 Moon Coins |
| Love is a Rose | There are rosebushes in the Fairy Garden that grow flowers used for potions and magical teas. The bushes need pruning, and while you're at it, please bring back some of the roses for the Tower of Potions. Try not to touch them with your bare hands. | The roses, if touched with bare skin, can make characters fall in love with the first person they see. The effect lasts for about an hour. Those who went through the spacetime portal in the November 2023 event will recognize these as descendants of the heart-shaped roses from back then, and just like their ancestors, they don't wilt when picked. | 1,500 Moon Coins |

| Trade You Places | There's a mirror in the Weird Mirror Tree that's... normal? At least I only saw a regular mirror when I went alone. But everyone who goes out in pairs, like you're supposed to, sees something else. Can you check that out for me? | The mirror in question will only work with two people because when touched, it affects both of them, making them look, think, and act as if they belong to each other's worlds (canonswap). The switch remains from 24 hours to 1 whole week, depending on player choice OR until the mirror is touched again OR another mirror is touched. Powers will also be affected by the swap. | 1,500 Moon Coins |

| Can You Hear Me Now? | Last year when criminals were dumping Zapperpillars in the city and everyone was trying to get rid of them, it seems like someone put a batch in the wrong segment. Now there's an eclipse of oversized moths near the Flaming Grassland, eating everything and cutting out people's phone signals. Try and get rid of them! | The moths can either be fought or just kept (captive ones can boost a wireless signal) or relocated to their native habitat in the Autumn Segment, although they've certainly gotten big here (about the size of an average adult's hand). | 500 Moon Coins |
| Like a Rolling Stone | We've been wondering about the relation between the Stone Guardians guarding the Village of Song in the Spring Segment and the monsters that exploration party took out in the Temple of Death. We went to study it by releasing some Stone Guardians nearby, and they started marching to the temple and trying to guard it. Try and fight them and bring your results back. | Stone Guardians are stone blocks that have gems somewhere on their bodies that are their weakness. As they are now, they will only attack when attacked or when someone tries to get at the thing they're guarding -- in this case, one of the former sites of the doors, which are now just part of the walls. | 2,000 Moon Coins |
| Underwater Fight Club | Knowing how many underwater areas we've had to explore or run missions in, it's about time we did more to prepare. So we've made it into a spectator event! Questers, come to the battle cage underwater in the Mermaid Kingdom and test your powers against each other in friendly fights that will be broadcast back home in Nightwake City! | The battle cage is left over from a mission a few years back, kept in good repair by the mermaids who built it. Fights will be to submission and can use any powers, weapons, and items. Characters can either use existing items or skills to go underwater, or if they don't have one, they will be provided with either an Oxygen Helmet (a Research Centre invention that holds a 12-hour magical charge to allow the wearer to breathe underwater), a Seashell Necklace (a mermaid creation that creates a temperature-altering breathable air bubble when used underwater, able to be recharged by touch energy), or a Siren's Scale (a siren creation that gives the user fish gills as long as they have it equipped). | 1,500 Moon Coins |

| Tumbled Stones | Looks like at first, those Stone Guardians don't really change, but some of them seem to be transforming over time. Take them out before they get too dangerous, but we could use the battle data! | This quest only unlocks when the Stone Guardians are engaged in battle and a few of them have been taken out. Some of the Stone Guardians will start to transform to closer resemble the original guardian boss monsters of the temple (the Time Demon of Wrath, which controlled its opponents' range of movement; the Harpy of Greed, which fought with wind and metal feathers; the Robot Goblin of Envy, which used poison as well as projectile weapons like arrows, bullets, and lasers; the Naga of Pride, which fought with fire, lava, and venom; or if characters get lucky, the Minotaur of Sloth, which just fell asleep). They will not be as strong as the original bosses, but will still be made of stone and resist attacks to anywhere but their gems. | 6,000 Moon Coins |

| Camel-Driven Love | The Lover Camels in the Deserter's Desert still follow migration patterns from the days that the lost civilization out there was active. They're used to being ridden, so climb on and let them take you on their path so you can gather any lost artifacts you find along the way! | The journey across the desert takes about a day, weaves through the sand where occasionally old items can be found (pottery, simple magic charms, faded papyrus, etc.), and ends at the Puzzling Ruins. The Lover Camels have their own agenda, though -- matchmaking! They won't move if one person mounts them, only allowing two to ride at a time instead; they obey orders if their riders get along, but won't if they're arguing; and they suspiciously take detours to the most scenic places in the desert (their idea of great date spots). | 1,200 Moon Coins |
| It's a Lemon | Some cooking show had a special on lemons featuring a lemon pie with five different types of lemon ingredient. Even the regular permanent quest to get more fruit from the Temple of Life can't get all the lemons the citizens suddenly want! We need people to go out to the fruit groves by the Forever Fall to keep up with demand. | Ordinary lemon trees do still grow there (and characters with the ability to grow more, either full trees or regenerating the lemons on the existing trees, will be especially needed), but a few Twisted Fruit Trees are still there and will attack if provoked. | 1,000 Moon Coins |

| Hippo with the Times | The Dayrise Zoo has a breeding program for the endangered house hippo, a hippopotamus the size of a mouse. We need you to return a group of baby house hippos to the wild in the lake around the Temple of Death. | House hippos are harmless compared to regular hippos, but will get into food if left out (they're particularly fond of potato chips and the crumbs from breakfast). | 500 Moon Coins |

| Glow Without Show CW/TW: Mercy killing of corrupted beings, human sacrifice | Research into a cure for Darkness corruption has gone on for a long time, and the battle data the otherworlders have been bringing has been helping. This quest has two parts. First, we need you to head out to the forest around the Great Tree of Death, where dark fae have been spotted setting up for a sacrifice ritual, and stop them. | Characters will be given a charm to attach to their weapons that makes them glow. The glow is stronger when using combination attacks with another person using two different types of season magic. The dark fae will react to this and occasionally show flickers of emotion, but in the end the charms don't work to cure them; their Darkness corruption is still too strong to be purged, so the research into a cure will need to continue. | 3,500 Moon Coins, Light Charm (Beta Ver.) |
| So You Had A Bad Day | There's a flock of Spirit Birds in the Forest of Courage that's acting strangely. While most Spirit Animals will follow happy people and sulk sadly when encountering sad ones, these ones are seeking out anyone with negative emotions and attacking them. Sounds like a sickness we have a potion for, but we'll need people to go track down the birds and spray them with it. | Like other Spirit Animals, the birds glow. They will be more likely to attack the sadder or angrier a character is. When sprayed with the potion (if the character aims well enough to hit them), they will revert to normal. | 1,500 Moon Coins |
| They Grow From The Dead | What's with these creepy giant mushrooms attacking people? Even the Mushroom People look too scared to go out. We need to get rid of the Skeleshrooms. | Skeleshrooms are mushrooms the size of small children with skeletal faces and glowing eyes. They can take root anywhere or pop out of the ground and jump at people to bite them/try to eat them. They are, however, weak to wind as it dries them out and can easily send them flying. | 2,500 Moon Coins |

| Dead Without Heads CW/TW: Mercy killing of corrupted beings, decapitation | Then comes the second part. Even if it turns out we can't cure the dark fae just yet, we still need to stop whatever it is they're commanding. The last time they did a ritual out there, they summoned the Lord Dullahan, so even if they haven't hurt anyone yet, they might have similar monsters under their control. | This quest only unlocks when the dark fae have been battled and their ritual setup ruined. Angry, they will call for a group of Dullahans riding Skeleton Horses and set them on questers. While Skeleton Horses themselves are innocent and forced to obey their riders' commands, Dullahans will attack at will and specifically try to behead people so they can steal their heads (as Dullahans don't have their own heads). They're weak to light magic, but similar to the dark fae, can't be purified by the light charms as they are now (the charms need a little more time in development) or anything else just yet. | 7,000 Moon Coins |

| Make It Maple | It's that time of year again: time to harvest maple sap in the Maybe It's Mapleline forest to turn it into maple syrup! But this year the request is to modernize the process. Instead of tapping individual trees and lugging back the buckets of sap, we've got materials and blueprints to set up a more sophisticated network of tubes between trees where gravity takes the sap down to one gathering spot! All we need is for you to build them and tap the trees that way! | The plan does work and will help with maple syrup production, but Maple Animals and Maple Mantises might get in the way. Maple Animals are reversed from normal animals: if the normal animal is a herbivore, the maple version is a carnivore, and vice versa. Maple Mantises are giant mantises that eat the trees. | 2,000 Moon Coins |
| Up, Down, All Around | In the Silent Mountains there are some magic plants we need to harvest. Cloudberries cause those who eat them to be lighter and less affected by gravity, while gravity truffles do the opposite, weighing the eater down. They both grow in the clearing between the mountains. | The local wildlife will not attack if left alone (but provoking a wild pig is never a good idea), but the bigger danger is that the Silent Mountains dampen all sound. Questers will need to find another way to communicate. | 1,000 Moon Coins |

| I Swear I Saw It! | There's got to be something lurking in the Forest of Courage! I caught a weird shadow on camera, but the photos turned out really blurry. Try and find out what it really is. If we find this cryptid, it could change everything! | The cryptid isn't real; the photos just depict a Spirit Bear, a shadow from a tree, and a weird rock, respectively. Take photos of one or more of those. | 700 Moon Coins |

| Bring On the Blooms | There's a flower in the Creature-Nip Meadow that blooms when anyone is sexually active nearby, and it's been a while since we sent anyone to go make them bloom. We need the pollen from the flowers, so please go out and coax it out. Just be careful not to breathe in too much of the pollen when they bloom. | Monsters will occasionally wander into the meadow, but will usually be pacified by the effects of various flowers growing there. As for the pollen of the flower that the researchers want characters to have sex in front of, it's used in various medications and has a very potent aphrodisiac effect when inhaled. | 2,000 Moon Coins |
| Name and Kinkshame | There's a new charm the Spicy Spell Shop is testing out, and they're looking for volunteers. Apparently it displays your true desires. Why not try it out? | The charm does indeed display the user's true desires... by manifesting a sign around their neck announcing their most embarrassing kink. The sign can't be removed until after someone sees and reads it. | 500 Moon Coins |

You don't need mod permission to do these, just make sure you find a reasonably way for your character to get there.
Anyone can be a victim of these quests.

| Tag, You're It | I can't believe it -- someone else's graffiti, on our turf! Cover it up and make sure those guys know that this section of downtown Nightwake is ours! (For some reason, this quest was posted twice...) | This is technically two quests from rival gangs fighting over a disputed section of the Nightwake district. Characters are recruited by either of the gangs to tag walls, bridges, windows, or whatever else they can paint on in either black or red, depending on the gang. | 700 Moon Coins per graffiti |
| There's An Art To It | With all the lost treasures that quests and missions have been bringing in, it's a perfect time to drum up some cash... by making our own, of course. Copy these famous old paintings so we can sell them as the real ones! | Painting is done in an unassuming old shed in Stormreach, where art supplies are provided (quality varies). The real paintings are lost, so characters will be working off of photos and reproductions to forge their paintings. | 700 Moon Coins per forgery |

Toshirou Hijikata | Gintama (Prismatica & Isle of Avalon CRAU) | Summer
[It's a little known fact that besides his usual meathead activities like questing, sparring and exploring, Hijikata loves to cook (this is the man who, during communal brainstorming over how to improve Gintama, suggested a cooking show!). As such, he enthusiastically signs himself up for the grill-off. Needless to say, he has multiple mayonnaise bottles lined up... after all, the hamburgers are but vehicles for the true star of the culinary show, his favourite condiment! Turning a patty over, he confidently announces (be it to his partner or competitor):]
There's no way this meal won't win the judges over!
2) Now That's A King Cake
[Digging through a giant cake for lost items is hardly a challenge, but for Hijikata, who doesn't have a sweet tooth, it's also not all that enticing. Rolling up for the quest in something that looks like a sleeker motorcycle suit, he sighs.]
Alright, let's get going. Man, the sugary smell in here is overwhelming.
3) Demon In My View
[The demons have been incredibly troublesome, and Hijikata has somewhat of a vendetta against them - after all, one of them cut his sworn sister's hand off. Determined to help wipe out the remnants of the local demon population, he travels to the Heart Will Go On glacier with his questmate.]
So they think the demons have been eating the other monsters around here? I wonder where they're hiding... you'd think they'd hate the cold, right?
4) It's Eat or Be Eaten
[Having harvested octopus plants before and able to keep himself warm in the icy water via temperature control, Hijikata's ready to earn some more money in the Winter Segment. Looking at his diving suit in the pleaseantly warm Luxury Tent he set up, he muses:]
I wonder if I shouldn't just turn into a shark. It'd be faster on all fronts, wouldn't it?
5) Race For Your Love
[Hearing that the village where battled the frost mass with Rinku is being repopulated heartens Hijikata. Their hard work does make a difference! Ever competitive, he's drawn by the boat race and strategises with his partner (chosen or assigned).]
I don't know if you have anything faster, but I just bought one of those magical ships in a bottle! We could use that.
[The problem? It's a Bottle Ship from the shady shop, so it may not work as well as he expects...]
6) What's the Buzz?
[Hijikata is ready to kick some honey-stealing monster ass, but while he and his questmate are patrolling the area around one of the giant beehives in the Spring Segment, he frowns.]
We can't stay out here forever. Wouldn't it be smarter to set up Barrier Stones? Or would that trap the bees?
[Do fairy bees count as monsters?]
7) Running with the Wolfmoths
[Fighting moths, even monstrous ones, is easy when you have fire magic! He checks with his quest partner:]
You're fine with just exterminating them, right?
[If they aren't, they'll have to get a little more creative!]
8) Hey, You Dumb Pigs!
[With a whole pig herd gone missing from the Spring Segment's protected farms, Hijikata shares the guilds' concern about the animals potentially ending up as monsters if they aren't captured and returned. Hence, he calls upon his winged bull to help him (and, unless otherwise equipped, his questmate) scout for the pink creatures.]
They shouldn't be too hard to find. The question is: How do we get them back?
[He doesn't want straight-up herd them. That'd be so cumbersome!]
11) Can You Hear Me Now?
[Those pesky wi-fi moths again.. Bridging the distance from the airship station's teleport point to the Flaming Grassland on his winged bull's back, Hijikata muses (whether his quest partner is riding with him or using their own transport):]
They have some nerve to congregate so close to the Flaming Grassland. If we can lure them close to it with electronics, maybe I can just combust them in one fell swoop.
[Again with the violence... wasn't relocating the moths and option?]
10) Like a Rolling Stone (optional Boss Battle Quest: Tumbled Stones)
[Researchers will do the damndest things... but it appears like there really is a connection between the stone guardians at the Village of Songs and those at the Temple of Death, so he's happy to indulge them by participating in the quest. Walking up to the temple alongside his questmate and pokémon, he has a swing in his step.]
Alright, then. Let's beat up some rocks!
11) Underwater Fight Club
[A televised tournament? Hijikata signs himself up! Turned into a shark merman via partial animal transformation, he's eager for his turn and grins at his opponent.]
You're so not ready for what I'm bringing to the table. You can still back out, you know?
12) Glow Without Show (optional Boss Battle Quest: Dead Without Heads)
[So there are still corrupted fae out there... fortunately, Hijikata stocked up on items that help against them at the night market last year! With the charm attached to his now glowing claymore, he warns his questmate as they venture into the area the fae were sighted in:]
If this doesn't work, we'll need to take them out. The last time they did something like that, they summoned a giant dullahan.
[The lord dullahan would've sent him to the flower yard if not for Thanatos, and he doesn't need a repeat of that!]
13) Make It Maple
[After several quests to the Mapleline forest, Hijikata is familiar with its dangers. As such, he accompanies his quest partner to handle any threats that might appear while they install the syrup-harvesting tubes.]
I'll never understand the hype about maple syrup... sticky, sweet stuff. If you ask me, it's not worth all this hassle!
[He sure would be singing a different tune if these trees dispense mayonnaise!]
14) Up, Down, All Around
[Since the Silent Mountains can be dangerous, Hijikata once again goes on the quest as the plant harvester's escort and protector. Even so, he can't help but grumble a little.]
The silence is so inconvenient... but well, I'll keep my eyes open. If anything happens, I'll handle it!
[(OOC: If you'd like to plot anything out, don't hesitate to hit me up via DW DM or on Discord!)]
Hamburger Help Me
[Rinku hums as she shakes a bin of fries in the fryer. She clearly hasn't tried this before, but hey, it might be okay, right?]
What all else do you think we need?
no subject
[That's what sets a gourmet burger apart from a soggy fast food one - apart from the mayonnaise, of course!]
no subject

[With the patty cooked to completion, he sticks both halfs of a bun into the toaster, then opens the pickle jar, takes a couple of pickles out and slices them.]
Onions, tomatoes, and lettuce too, right?
[Why do they both need to confirm the most basic burger ingredients with each other...]

[Right on time, the toasted bun gets ejected, and he starts putting the burger together: bun bottom, mayonnaise, patty, mayonnaise, vegetables (he quickly cops up the other ones besides the pickles), mayonnaise, bun top.]
Ta-da!! ✨

Do we call this the Mayo Tower?

[He gets back to the patties... if Rinku wants to give the finished burger an extra finish of some kind, far be it from him to stop her!]

Rinku leaves the fries for a moment and thinks. She grabs a bunch of condiments (yes, mayo, but also curry powder, salt, ketchup, and is that ranch?), mixes a bunch of them, pours the mixture in a squeeze bottle, and draws a little happy face on top of the bun.]
There! Now it's happy!

This is great!! For the next one, see if you can make it your signature!

Sure, right away! This'll definitely cheer people up!
[The oil bubbles, distracting Rinku and prompting her to pull out the fry basket.]
Do these look done?
Frieda Reiss | Attack on Titan | Spring
[Interested in what Ellipsa was like before the Tragedy of Greed, Frieda visits the new exhibit. Used to turning into a titan, she's less familiar with getting tiny, but that's part of the fun! Once shrunk to a fairy's size, she beams at her companion (whether it's a friend who went with her, or just someone who happens to be there at the same time).]
They didn't need to make this a quest to attract people; everything looks so nice! Where do you want to go first?
2) Update Patch
[Frieda has no technical skills to speak of, but when she notices the work going on during a guild visit, she's curious and talks to one of the otherworlders helping.]
What are you working on? Maybe I can share some additional information that you can code in.
[She diligently reports every quest she undertakes to the guilds, but details about locations and monsters can easily get lost!]
3) Happy-Go-Lily
[Gathering glacial lilies off the ice is a lovely task, Frieda thinks, and with her quest partner having agreed to go at night to accommodate her vampirism, she fills the air over the frozen lake with light magic orbs that create a gentle glow.]
I'm always struck by how beautiful Ellipsa is... but many worlds are, as long as there's peace to see it.
4) Where Shroom? (optional Boss Battle Quest: There Wolf)
[Collecting wereshrooms seems to be dangerous enough that Frieda anticipates a shortage of volunteers for the quest... so naturally, she steps up for it. After all, if worse comes to worse she'll have her titan! With the full moon brightly hanging in the sky, she and her questmate walk through the snow.]
I hope this remedy will work well. Have you ever experienced insomnia? It can be really hard to deal with.
5) Show and Tell
[Frieda never registered her portal gun, but when she retrieves it to participate in the event, the coordinates are still set - it seems like no one used it in the interim. Apprehensive about the dark and dangerous world in the dimension she discovered, she first approaches another participant at the event.]
What is your portal dimension like?
6) The Early Bird... (optional Boss Battle Quest: ... Gets the Worm)
[While the quest is challenging, what with the risk of being put to sleep by the sleepacocks' cries and them having to go at night, Frieda and her questmate still venture out into the Spring Segment. On the upside, the birds are mostly sleeping now, nestled into trees and bushes.]
I wonder if whatever is upsetting them will even show up now... let's put in earplugs just in case!
7) Love is a Rose
[Pruning rose bushes is nice work in Frieda's book, all the more in the beautiful fairy gardens! Having to work at night, she once again provides a gentle glow with her light magic. Wearing gardening gloves, she's making good progress.]
They're paying us so much for this work when I'd do it for free! These roses are so fragrant!
8) Trade You Places
[After the incident inadvertently caused by Reiner's visit to the Mirror Tree last year, Frieda feels apprehensive about visiting it, but it's important that the matter is investigated before something happens again. As such, she ends up at the Mirror Tree with her quest partner.]
I've never been here before... besides what happened last year, I don't really know much about this tree. How about you?
9) Camel-Driven Love
[Fortunately, the lover camels are on the move at night, too, so Frieda can participate in the quest! It ought to be peaceful enough... if they can manage not to thinks of desserts and attract gourmet golems with their imaged sweets, that is. Risks aside, she's happy to get the opportunity to spend some time with her quest partner.]
Ride with me, will you? The camels always want two riders - you'd think it'd be too much of a load for them, but they won't walk otherwise!
10) It's a Lemon
[Frieda takes on the quest not only to help with the lemon harvest, but especially to grow more lemon trees and hasten the fruits' ripening. Under the Summer Segment's moon near the Temple of Life, she can't help but fuss a little.]
There's high demand for lemons now, but what will become of all these trees when the trend dies down?
[They'll probably be kept in place, but there'll be an overabundance of lemons nobody will want!]
11) Hippo with the Times
[The tiny house hippos are so endearing, Frieda is utterly charmed by them. Having made the journey to the lower Great Ocean Lake with her questmate, she's hard-pressed to go through with the release.]
I can't help but feel like they must have so many predators out here! Besides, they were born in captivity. Can they really survive in the wild?
[She trusts the zoo's judgement, but she can easily imagine the tiny hippos being welcome snacks to so many wild animals and monsters!]
12) So You Had A Bad Day
[Frieda likes the spirit animals in the Winter Segment. With their gentle glow, they appear like protective guardians, and the way in which they react to people's emotions is touching. As such, she wants to help the birds and stop them from acting so aggressively if possible. Entering the nightly forest with her questmate, she half-jokes:]
I hope you're not feeling too bad? We wouldn't want to draw their ire!
13) They Grow From The Dead
[How can a mushroom be skeletal? Frieda and her questmate are about to find out as they head into the moonlight Mushroom Sanctuary.]
I wonder if they can be reasoned with at all... we'll have to see whether they're people or monsters, I reckon.
14) I Swear I Saw It!
[Upon seeing the quest, Frieda can only wonder... what if the being in the Forest of Courage is something like the slenderman she met in the Winter Segment? Setting out at night, she and her questmate brave the eerie atmosphere.]
The photos really were so blurry, I have no idea what to look out for... do you know what regular creatures live in this forest?
