for Ayato (@acquirement)

[Hmn.
Lumine hadn't mentioned anything like that, so he assumes this is an arrival more recent than the last time he spoke to her at any great length. The arrival of her brother in any respect seems like something she would have mentioned to him given how long she had been searching.]
As strange as it may sound, I do believe you. [It's a ridiculous lie to tell if it is one and Ayato has not struck him as that kind of person.
Two entirely different people, and nothing has changed. He shakes his head slightly.] And I see the point you're making. You're quite right, of course.

I have questions for the both of them regarding some of this, as so far they seem to be the only divergence.

[He just gives a brief nod to that. Of course, Diluc trusts Lumine implicitly and would believe almost anything she told him, so that would have worked well enough had he not been open-minded about hearing this from Ayato.]
That's interesting. [Diluc murmurs, though he seems slightly distracted. He'll need some time to mull over everything this actually implies.]
I believe I'm due a coffee. [Just to settle his nerves.] You're welcome to join me.

{ open minded and not likely to jump to conclusions are two of the reasons he shared this to begin with. besides, the memory had been perhaps more difficult for diluc than himself, despite it being about his own parents. }
Coffee would be nice. I hadn't actually had it before coming here, nor had I realised there were so many types.

[It's subtle, but Diluc perks up a little at hearing that. He makes a small gesture for Ayato to go along with him and starts walking, absent-mindedly clasping his hands behind his back once they're on the move.]
In that case, allow me to give you a crash course.
[He doesn't know coffee like he knows wine, but he does know it.]

{ and to be fair, half the time he's drinking boba tea above all others anyway... }
