[ It's actually unusual for a bot to communicate this way, but since text on a screen allowed it to have a comfortable distance from whoever it was communicating with, that was the default that it was using. ]
Since I've learned there is a whole bunch of humans that are already here, I have to figure that a lot of them already have their own ways of protecting themselves, since there is no possible way I'd be able to deal with that many clients all by myself. If you don't, though, and the humans all decide to do something that is borderline suicidal, then more power to you as long as I don't have to clean up after it.
I did see that it was common for a job to be done in exchange for a hard currency card. There are way too many of you for me to be able to call all of you my clients, but I'd be willing to rent myself out as a security specialist for smaller groups again? Although, as a security specialist, I'll tell you right now that most of you humans are way too fragile to be doing repairs to buildings that are not structurally sound.

Not disagreeing, just curious what was factored in or not. Has anyone told you about Safety Pins?

Not wrong about being mentally stronger or more adaptable, within reason.

Creativity and flexibility are generally what I observe in humans.

I can recommend you to Jean Kirstein and Reiner Braun to see if they'll want to commission you for your services in the future. They're running a company that works parallel to what the Season Guilds do here, focused on keeping people safer when they're venturing into the Segments. Is that useful?
no subject
Since it is part of my function to keep groups of humans safe while they are on a planetary survey, that would be ideal. Part of my function is also to act as a bodyguard for a single person while my client is on a station or ship. Are Jean Kirstein and Reiner Braun humans? Because it is less than ideal for humans to be doing security, they are just too fragile.

I'm so sorry for how this place is going to make you feel. Humans are terrible at security, and also not being reckless, which can amount to about the same thing.
Jean Kirstein is standard human. Reiner Braun is not, and his nature means he's very difficult to render incapable of surviving. Most those involved with their Guild-adjacent group are standard for their species, and I think that's by majority human.

[ It's job and the whole reason that it even exists. SecUnits were supposed to be used as a useful, but ultimately disposable, interactive part of the security system that would be rented out to the various survey teams that explored planets. ]

Humans are going to get hurt sometimes. We’ve had a few deaths, although they’re temporary here. (It still sucks, I recommend avoiding it.)

Although you are going to have to explain a bit further about death being temporary.

[Hers is coriander, which isn't exactly known for its flowers...]

[ Not to mention, it sounded really unpleasant the more ragged that it got. ]

This is a bit of a long shot but you're not a morph are you?
They're a species from my world who work for humans.

My name is Dick. Or Fords if you prefer.
If I hear about anyone needing security I'll let them know about you.
[He's about to ask the bot's name when he realised that maybe the reason they hadn't introduced themselves by name was because they thought they already had.]
Is your name Eden like your username?

I'm a SecUnit, but my name is not Eden. You can just call me SecUnit.
[ It was going to stick with "Fords" right now, and reserve the right to call this person "Dick" later if they did turn out to be a dick. ]
