WARNINGS: A stupid amount of chili dogs. PROBABLY FEELINGS? Listen, some people have personhood issues. Maybe Boomdow.

Sonic new it was around his Birthday. Vaguely. Move around planets enough and its hard to track the date, he had a birthday not too far from when he arrived on Earth. So the BEarthday was very fitting. And, well, Shadow woke up from cyro the same day or day after, so Sonic figured he could share it with his Shadow.

But also explaining that to people would be weird, and telling WAY too much, and also Primedow and SonIDW had their birthdays around the same time and that's why the banners say Birthday.

Sonic was nothing, if not stupidly sentimental. He knew he was throwing a party for his Shadow because he deserved it and well, he isn't going to just ignore the others. Maybe talk about a week of celebration or something for next year.

The beauty of superspeed though is he can set up a party FAST. He just has to make sure Big Blue is busy upstairs for a few minutes and BOOM, party is set up.

First and foremost, the party is an explosion of color. Why? Sonic promised Primedow and SonIDW pride flags and he delivered. There are rainbows and all sorts of other flags scattered across the yard, on the walls, and over the first floor. He's even got balloons over pride flag colors.

There was a banner that said 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHADOWS AND SONICS!' Hand painted, so its a bit messy, and made with blue, red, and black.

There is SO much food. Most of it is cake and chilidogs. Mostly because Sonic knows how much Sonics can pack away, and other people should get to enjoy these foods. There is even a variety in the cake flavors! Chocolate, white, strawberry, even lemon.

There is also coffee beans. Just....just straight coffee beans.

And some chocolate covered espresso beans, and Tiramisu. Less of that, but still plenty. And burgers for those who think hotdogs are beneath them or something.

There is also fruit salad, and guacamole with chips for those who want something kind of healthy.

There is a table labeled GIFTs and a sign. 'Be sure you indicate WHICH Shadow or Sonic. Fluffy are the younger ones.'

The party activities are scattered in the yard and the first floor of the house. Its nothing too over the top, beyond the color explosion. There is music for outside hanging out, some dancing. There is also a television for people to play video games on. (There will be DDR at some point, thanks Eva.)

Inside, there is a large stack of DVDs to watch movies inside.

There are board games on the dining room table for people to play those.

There is also a sign at the stairs to the second floor. 'RESIDENTS ONLY. If someone is upstairs, you leave them alone, even if they're one of the Birthday Boys! Any non-resident attempting to go upstairs if not accompanied by a resident will be swiftly removed.' (He figures he should account for social batteries. Especially for his Shadow and Maria. Sometimes you need a space to retreat away from people.)

[Why is that cake so huge??? He wasn't expecting that at all, so his eyes do widen a bit at the sight of Amy with the cake.

As to her words, he just gives a grunt and crosses his arms over his chest. Saying nothing.]

[ Because go big, or go home. That's what she would have said, at least, if he had said anything. If she were anyone else, she might have been pit off by his lack of words-- but Shadow is Shadow, and she's used to it.

So, she simply smiles and cracks open a can of diet soda, content to settle in and enjoy the companionable quiet. ]

[Compared to the rest of the party, Amy just staying with him and being quiet? Is nice, and after a bit of that he is... Going to go and have a slice of the cake she made.

Mostly because it would be rude not to try it, but also because he is a little hungry. And he doesn't trust any of the other food.]

[ Amy's actually pretty pleased right now. Everything seems to be going well and everyone's enjoying themselves for the most part. And the BEST thing so far is that not a single damn fight has broken out. This is a pretty successful party!

Her eyes follow him when he stands up and goes to get a slice of his cake, and a warm, happy smile tugs at her lips. Lemon and lavender was a fun combination of flavors to work with, and when she had her counterpart taste test the first little mock up cake she'd made, she'd gotten two thumbs up. She just hopes that Shadow enjoys it, too. ]

[At least he knows how to cut a cake and not make a mess of it, as he gets a slice and then...]

Here, have some too.

[Offering the first slice, which is a reasonable size, not too big, but not too small, to her. Even though she only brought one plate and fork over here.]

[ When he wanders back over to where they were sitting, she is fully expecting him to plop back down next to her and start eating. What she hadn't been expecting was that ridiculously sweet gesture. She carefully takes the plate, her cheeks visibly heating up, even as yet another radiant smile pulls at the corners of her lips. ]

Thank you, Shadow! That was very sweet of you! You didn't have to get me a slice, silly. I really appreciate it!

... You were staring at me.

[So he assumed she wanted some cake, that's the only reason to stare at someone getting cake after all.]

I was excited for you to try it, sorry.

[ It's still really sweet, though, given he even showed up to this party to begin with. She peers down at the cake in question, and then back up at him before she picks up the fork and cuts a small piece of the cake off, and then offers it to him. ]

[Nothing to say to that, because like he is going to admit he got something wrong.

But then Amy does that, offering him some cake and he just stares at her as if she grew a second head.]

[ Somehow, this is kind of the most wholesome thing ever. In a weird, Shadow way.

She blinks, and then just sort of. Moves the fork to his lips. She is absolutely going to feed him if he'll let her. ]

[This is weird, why is she doing this, what should he do?

It'll just get more awkward if he doesn't so... Going to eat the piece of cake that is being thrust upon him.]

[ Amy looks so stupidly pleased when he takes that bite, she's practically glowing, in fact. She at least waits for him to chew and then swallow before she asks the inevitable. ]

What do you think? Is it what you were hoping for?

[Chew, chew, swallow. God he hopes no one is saying attention to all this, he thinks.]

It is good.

[Not going to tell her he had low expectations.]

[ She visibly lights up at his approval, and actually looks relieved. ]

I'm glad you like it! I made enough to last you a few days, hopefully.

[ It's a pretty big cake for just one person, but she meant what she said: it might not be his birthday, but he still deserves nice things. And since he said he liked it, guess what his punishment is? Amy's cutting off another piece and she's gonna feed him again if he doesn't stop her... ]

[A lot of cake for a guy with nowhere to store it, too.

And she's just doing her own thing before he can stop her and well. If she's anything like the Amy he knows? Not doing what she wants will get your ear talked off.

So more cake is being eaten.]

[ This may as well be her birthday with how pleased she is right now. She cannot believe this tall ass version of Shadow has actually shown up to a party he didn't want to go to, and is letting her feed him a piece of cake. And she is just ridiculously happy to be doing so, it shows on her face as she just patiently feeds him the entire slice of cake, piece by little piece, until it's all gone.

Is she thinking at all about anyone seeing them and the implications it might have? She sure as shit isn't. Even if she was, she wouldn't care; she's just REALLY happy right now. ]

[IF ANYONE MENTIONS THIS AT ALL? A fight will break out, Shadow has his pride after all.

Which is kind of being forgotten in just making sure Amy is happy for now. Which means eating a whole slice of cake.]

[ When he's finished, she places the empty plate down, making a mental reminder to washing, and some of the dishes at least, before she leaves tonight. Right now though, she's just extremely happy to have gotten Shadow to eat something... especially something she made.

She beams at him. ]

Thank you for coming today, by the way.

If I didn't, I'm sure that Sonic would have found me and bothered me about it.
