Today is my 20th Birthday, and I am holding a birthday party! It’ll be at the Wonder✩Blooming Stage in Stormreach. Anyone is welcome to come! There will be cake and snacks, but if you’d like to bring something specific, feel free. I hope to see you there.

The Party

[Rui has transformed the entryway and the theater itself into colorful party areas. There are balloons and balloon animals everywhere, including one raccoon that was asked for specifically. There are also paper decorations like colorful chains and streamers. Most of the party takes place in the large entryway.

There are tables set out for people to rest at, and a couple large ones with several kinds of snacks on them, near where concessions are normally sold. It may be noticed that there are no veggies or melons among the snacks, even the sandwiches are meat and cheese only. There’s also a large colorful funfetti cake with frosted flowers on it.

Rui also set up some party games, including Pin the Tail on the Human (thanks Rinku), a Wack-a-Mon game that he made (instead of moles there are cartoony looking purple monsters with eyes that light up when hit before going back in the box), as well as Twister and Jenga still in their freshly bought boxes. Not quite a game, but he did set up a flower making station as well where people can make pinwheels that look like different kinds of flowers.

The Stage is divided into two sections with a bright purple divider. One side has karaoke set up, and the other side has a small table with a box labeled “Improv”, with paper slips with random roles inside (anything from prince, to alien, to mermaid, or even platypus).

The entrances to the backstage area are labeled as off limits, but there's really nothing stopping people from heading back into the organized area of props and costumes, or his unorganized and currently lived out of office, if they're feeling nosey.]

[Rinku must've been looking at the Gifts for Men display at the department store again, because she got him... a drone. In his image colour, too!

And a seashell, naturally.]

[The seashell is joining his collection, and the drone is going to be outfitted with biodegradable confetti droppers.]

Re: Present Table

[With the help of his adopted son, Lycaon has a present for Rui. The box is rather large, big enough for a small child to fit in. The paper is simple white with a black ribbon and bow. When unwrapped, inside is a new marionette robot. This one of a small rabbit Bangboo in a similar style to Rui's robots. It isn't perfect since Lycaon wasn't about to reverse engineer from Rui's puppets.

Still, they tried to match the general function and aesthetic presentation. It is a little jester rabbit too.]

[Aaaand Rui already has ideas for street acts the robot can star in.]

[Given what she's learned about Rui, Stelle's present seems to be a filming camera in purple, as well as a few silly charcter masks to use in plays.]

[The filming camera will get plenty of use, and Rui is so amused by the character masks that they get hung up in his office when not being used.]

[She wasn't sure what to bring, but she's not going to turn up empty-handed either! Rui will get a small music box that plays a soft, silvery little tune when wound.]

[Rinku is everywhere! You can find her at the snack table, tilting her head at the food even as she's eating the sandwiches.]

I guess he doesn't like vegetables. Is that one of those diet things?

[The games are also fun! Yes, she did lend him Pin the Tail on the Human, and yes, she's playing it herself... and maybe approaching someone with the pin while blindfolded.]

It's gotta be this way, right?

[And at karaoke, Rinku gets up and starts belting out a few covers excitedly. Nothing from represented canons, though! That's just rude.]

[Rui chuckles, ready to move out of the way.]

Well, you are approaching a human, however, I would rather a tail not be pinned on me today.

Oh, sorry, Rui-kun!

[Rinku turns a little and shuffles in another direction.]

How is it? I'm glad you wanted to borrow Pin the Tail on the Human, it's fun!

[He watches to make sure she won't run into anything.]

It is fun~ Thank you for letting me borrow it.

[A swipe, and the tail... is right next to the human, which is at least an improvement on being on Rui. Rinku takes her blindfold off.]

Aww. It's no problem! As long as my friends are happy! I wanna make sure you have a great birthday. Mecchan and Hina-chan do too!

[She looks and spots the two of them scribbling in a colouring book.]

It's nice of the three of you to come. I was honestly a little worried when I decided to try having a birthday party this year.

I told other people to try and show up too! You deserve a really good party. Especially since you said you never had one.

Thank you. I hope anyone who shows up has a good time.

[He doesn't want to dwell on his anxieties right now though, so...]

Can I try this game? How do you play?

Yeah, of course! You put the blindfold on and try to put the tail where you think it should go!

Don't you usually eat veggies for diets, though...?

I guess, but if there's vegetarian, maybe it means there's also... I dunno, meatarian?

. . . Is that even a thing?

I have no idea. I guess Rui-kun is just Rui-kun.

Guess so. How are the sandwiches, anyway?

I think they're okay! Even if it's just meat and cheese, it's still good. But I don't really dislike any food.

[starwill]

There's only one food that is my enemy, although it's a strange one.

[roundandaround]

Strange like how? I feel like everywhere has food that's weird somewhere else. Like pumpkin pizza.

[starwill]

Bananas.

[roundandaround]

I haven't seen banana pizza yet.

[starwill]

Hopefully it stays that way.

Also, not just on pizza.

How come? Are you allergic or something?

[starwill]

Not allergic... just had a bad experience with monkeys and bananas.

[roundandaround]

Aww. Monkeys are great. Usually. The Fire Monkeys in the Rain Jungle never listen, they just attack you!

There was someone who was trying to turn the whole universe into...uh. Brainless monkeys who could only sing a banana song.

[roundandaround]

That's messed up. Monkeys deserve better than that, and so does everyone else.

[starwill]

No kidding. But after hearing that song for too many times and its nefarious purposes... I kind of don't want to see bananas for a while.

Your universe has all kinds of stuff, huh?

An endless amount of things, really...

Then it must've been easy to get used to a place like this, since it's the same!

[Rui is trying his best to keep his spirits up as it gets close to party time. He's still not sure that anyone would come, but he promised himself that he'd try this year.

He'll greet any guests with a dramatic bow.]

[He'll spend a bit of time making a flower pinwheel, trying to get every edge perfect.

And the rest of the time he'll be trying to get folks to join him for improv.]

It's actually rather fun, even if you're new. I put in roles from a variety of genres so there's chances for all sorts of fun scenarios~

[Rui's actually really excited that Stelle is down to improv with him. He was a bit worried about adding it as a party event given that not as many people are as into theater as he is. Still, he tries to hold back on his enthusiasm a bit.]

Sort of? I think I inspired her to create it after commenting about the original version being possibly offensive to nonhumans. -Honestly, it's kind of grown on me a little.

[Guizhong is entirely ready to join an improv session, clasping her hands together as she listens to the explanation of what is expected.]

Von Lycaon | Zenless Zone Zero | Winter

Lycaon is busy with food and other snacks. Their host has prepared cake and snacks but Lycaon wants to prepare enough for others to enjoy. Especially if more people arrive. He is using his Winter powers to create shaved ice and flavoring them with syrups he bought at a specialty store the other day.

The butler also has prepared warm and cold food as well. He is attending the snack table just in case anyone requires assistance or something is running low. Even when attending a party as a guest, he falls into his usual attendant behaviors.

"Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make Mr. Rui's birthday party more enjoyable for you."

[curuiosity]

"Thank you for all of this, Lycaon-san," Rui says, before taking one of the shaved ices. He let's out a pleased hum when he tastes it.

"I hope you enjoy the party~" He's not going to try and dissuade him from what Rui's gathered by now is his usual behavior, but he is going to offer that much as an allowance to be more of a guest if that matters.

[Rinku sparkles up at Lycaon, loading her plate up with food.]

You really brought all that stuff?

The snacks are very well received by Guizhong, at least, and she's picking cheerfully at a plate when she's approached. Lycaon's appearance doesn't seem to faze her at all - she doesn't so much as blink before she smiles brightly.

"Oh, did you put some of this together?"

She recalls that Rui had been quite conscious of what people might like.

"I'm so glad that Rui had some help."
