[Tau is... as close to the exit as possible while still allowing her friend to hear her soft voice.]

I am sorry...if I am not allowed to be here...but...I was wondering...Well...I find I enjoy creative endeavors, and uhm...I don't know much about music...but I would like to learn...and make other creative friends...if possible...

Sorry...if I need to be a musician already...to come here...I-I can leave if that is the case.

[Have you seen the promo posters Rinku makes for their events? They're terrible.]

[Tau relaxes slightly, but is still a little tense as she heads further into the room to join Rinku.]

Thank you...I...did not really know where to begin...learning music...But you are my friend...and when I saw your Music Club was meeting...I thought...maybe this would be a good place to start?

[She reaches for one of the snacks to start nibbling on.]

Sure, of course! What kind do you wanna learn? Or do you wanna just try everything? I brought some of my percussion instruments and stuff if you wanna play around with those.

[Tau fidgets with her cloak for a moment.]

I would not mind...trying what you have with you?

[Rinku leads Tau over to a small collection of drums and ensemble instruments from around the world. She pats what looks like a wooden box.]

This is a cajon! I got it when I was in Peru for a little while when my parents went to this science conference. You sit on it and reach down to hit it!

[Tau tilts her head at the instrument, before sitting on it as instructed. Rather than hitting it, she taps it lightly a couple of times, too nervous about trying a new thing to do anymore.]

Try slapping the side when you lean over! It'll make better noise that way. And if it doesn't work for you, I have tons more to try!
