The vampire does indeed scream as it is hit with the flame dagger and has to pull away from the door. Paulo pants and stares at Dick.

"H-Hey! You're supposed to be in beeEEEAAAAAH!" Paulo starts to scold but then another arm comes through the hole and grabs Paulo. With strength the first one didn't have, it pulls him through the door with a sickening crack, and into the hallway.
