This is probably not the time for Ren to reassure Eva of anything, but he does anyway. He raises his hand shakily with his last strengths to try and touch her cheek.

"I will.... be back..." It was scary to die, but at least he would be back.

Then his hand drops, limb, and he closes his eyes. It does look for a moment that he's gone.
