And if something did it and there's no report of what it was - then that meant that it wasn't caught yet. So he went into the cave wary and ready with whatever magic was needed on hand.
When they launch the first attack, Albedo shifts, working to summon his recently learned shield to help protect against any magic that gets launched at them. He's not perfected it yet since he's not used it much, but it should at least last through an attack or two. ]
