[Open Log] Kazuichi's Remote Adventure

WHAT: Kazuichi tries to go outside ... remotely.

There is small rectangle robot outside the starter apartments, going around. It has wheels, arms and even an antenna. It's likely remote controlled from somewhere.

Determined, the little robot travels towards the nearest vending machine. There it stands and starts jumping up with a coin it was holding. Apparently, it was trying to reach the coin slot that was very high. Suddenly it stops and sighs.

The voice comes out mechanic, but belongs to one Kazuichi.

"I should have installed the extending legs and arms and not rely on the jump power. Back to planning I guess..."

And he really wanted a soda from the vending machine. Bummer.

Carolena Marianna Morir comes over to flick this robot's antenna.

"How much more retro can you get," she complains.

On Kazuichi's end, the connection flickers a little bit, which causes him to yell at the mic.

"OI! Don't mess with the antenna! It's sensitive."

[abnormalizes]

"Oh! Need any help with reaching that, handsome?"

Yes of course she's hitting on the robot. Why wouldn't she.

Kazuichi is very confused over that.

"Who? Where?"

There wasn't anyone else here, was there?

"You? You're the only cute robot I see."

???

"Wah, cute!"

Rinku looks over from where she's carrying a bucket and picking Zapperpillars off power poles. She puts the offending bugs down and away from the robot.

"Are you trying to get something?"

At least she seems friendly. Still, Kazuichi is a bit nervous.

"A-Ah... I wanted to get a cola can. I should have enough moon coins, but I can't reach it."

"I know!" Rinku claps. "Do you want me to pick you up? Or I could just buy it or something. I didn't know robots that could drink pop existed here too!"

The robot offers the mooncoins at the girl.

"If you could buy it for me. Also it's not the robot that will drink it..."

Rinku scratches her head. (Why's she grown fuzzy horn-things and a tail since those network conversations? Maybe it doesn't matter.) She takes the money and orders him a cola, which drops down into the dispenser slot.

"There you go!" Pause. "Huh... so you're not the robot, you just sent it to get your stuff?"

The robot can easily reach into the dispenser slot, at least.

"Thanks! And yeah, uh... I'm just test driving the robot."

He's totally not, he's just too scared to come out of the apartment and got thirsty.

"Huh? Did you have those horns last time we spoke?"

Blink. Blink Blink. Tail swish.

"Oh!" She finally recognizes the voice, nods, then pauses and shakes her head.

"Maybe? A lot of times lately I forget when I did and didn't. I guess I'm like this all the time now, like sometimes they say you get stuck like this if you use the same animal form too much, so it's easier." She tilts her head. "I guess I could shapeshift them away, but..."
